    there's a "preserve UVs" option in the settings of the transform tool, so you can slide edges around without destroying UVs

    Great tips! The Get/Set Texel Density is perfect for when you don't want to re-Layout your entire UV map, but keep everything the same UV scale.

      i dont know 3ds Max sorry. Maybe look in to Arrimus, he uses max

    Yeah everyone talks about re-topology (not what you're doing IK) but so few talk about preserving UVs... It's a real bitch! In blender you can however "projection paint" your old model onto your new model but from what i recall there were limitations and the results were often sub-optimal for my liking so I gave up on that technique. If Maya has a similar option then it would probably do a better job being a paid software and all
