Even though this version seems more 2-dimensional than the other ones, I still think the different colored guns/lasers thing is a really good idea, the vehicles look a lot more realistic and cool, and the story line and scenery look much more realistic and serious than the more cartoonish, toy-themed other ones. Overall still looks like fun!
Despite its simple look, I really like how they employed the use of light up effects. Also the guns remind me of a Buzz Lightyear gun I had when I was 7 years old that I got from the Disney Store. It was blue and it shot foam darts. Didn't light up though!
But this is not an improvement over the other versions of the ride, in fact it looks like a lesser version of it. So far Pirates looks amazing, Pooh is the same ride as in Orlando and Peter Pan has some improvements over the Disneyland and Orlando versions which makes it look cute.
Cutouts are the worst, People say screens are bad, but at least screens have at least some kind of credibility, cutouts are the worst way to go when it comes to making a dark ride. Dear future dark ride creators: Even if you have an extremely low budget, I suggest saving your money to at least get a dark ride with statues.

4:16 looks like the ride is keeping score, so that's cool.
