I don’t want launch dates unless they’re as close to 100% certain as possible they’ll make those dates. Otherwise you’re just asking for delays.

for state of decay 3 and the dismemberment “system” i want my survivors to be able to lose arms. so they don’t die immediately but they can no longer use two handed melee weapons or firearms. that would be sick
They’d most likely die fast without modern doctors available
Perfect Dark: Hope they keep the old unique Difficult setting of Perfect dark and Golden Eye intact, which means different/additional missiongoals at higher Difficult setting.
i 100% think Gears of War E-Day will be a flashback story and by the end it’ll show that someone was retelling it and hinting at a Gears 6

I want them to make Gears 6 because I enjoyed the new trilogy’s story and I been a Gears fan since day one. I think they’ll do Gears E Day then Gears 6 and then Gears E Day Part 2.
On Gears I partly agree with Rand, and I partly agree with Jez. With Jez I agree that they will do Gears 6 and it will be next, E-Day is a passion project that they had a great idea for and really wanted to make now while they still could. But I agree with Rand in that I don't think E-Day has anything to do with Gears 6. E-Day was just more important to the new leadership and they wanted to do that first. However I don't think E-Day will become it's own trilogy and I don't think they'll abandon Gears 6.
At this point it will be 6-8 yr away before we see gears 6. Might as well release a dlc and finish the story. They could turn e-day into a trilogy. Iono.

Banjo is one of the greatest platformers of all-time. The dismissive attitude is annoying. If it scored high, people would play it. Mario still does huge numbers.
The thought is, Banjo was the #10 game on N64 20 years ago & N64 didn't sell near as well as the PS1. I was there & had a N64. I didn't buy it or ask for it. They're questioning the audience. Not the gameplay.

@nicktubby9710 PDN64 came our AFTER the PS2, required the expansion cart, AND still sold 😆. Don't forget PD Zero was also launch title for the 360.

So? You're saying the audience is the issue because it was too small on N64, meanwhile PD with a much smaller audience is getting a new game. The audience is absolutely the not the issue. The only franchises that sold more than Banjo on N64 were Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, Donkey Kong, Starfox, and Goldeneye. That's huge, even if N64 wasn't the most popular console, it had a huge cultural impact.

What if e day is a tie in to the rumored animated show? Could gears 6 be resolved in another medium?
I have the solution for avowed. Move it to earlier October. If the game is ready, then realease it sooner instead of December where they let games go to die.
Devs already said its techincal issues with Black myth, serie s is the problem. If you look the specs game needs 16gb RAM while series s only has 10 if i remember correctly
I love D4 lol, but i always preface my love of diablo with saying it's not for everyone. My best friend jedd and i loved D4, and now my gf and i play it a ton, and she plays HC with me and is damn good at it. My favorite and most played game of the past 5 years easily, and i play A LOT, and i play a lot of different games.
I know how you feel about dragon age, it's how we feel about other franchises.
That said I don't mind if Bioware fades away, dragon age and mass effect are 360 days and they can stay there.
I thought Indiana Jones looked pretty good, at least the cut scene. Gameplay? Idk I'll have to play it and see how i feel about it.
I think one of the big reasons there isn't much hype for Indy is that nobody trusts Lucasfilm anymore. After the turd of the final film, it is hard to get excited. Im really worried about the writing and how Indy will be treated. Will he be upstaged by the new sidekick? I'm holding judgement on this one until it comes out.
I'm not an Indy fan or care about anything Licasfilm, but I'm interested in that game. I haven't played Machine Game's Wolfensteins so maybe I should check those out first lol.

Gears EDay didn't really get full dev focus for years after 5 as they had teams helping other Xbox studios, they took time off from dev to learn UE5, worked on a canecelled game etc.
Gears 6: Using Unreal 5 maybe a more open World Gears 6 would have not the fidelity with the current gen Consoles. So maybe there was also technical reasons to prefer E-Day first
Nah I think they fd themselves with the ending choice of 5 and don't know what good to do with it.

I do wonder what South of Midnight was originally supposed to be before SBI was allowed to get involved and a bunch of the team quit.
What games has Sweet Baby Inc. worked on? I'm genuinely curious.
@@hihosilver1234, South of Midnight, for one, which is why I brought it up. I don’t know what the project was originally intended as or how it was changed, but I know it was changed and that members of the dev team quit due to what was going on.
I know that the main protagonist we’re seeing was not the original main character and that this version was modeled after one of the co-chairs of SBI.
I know that SBI is also now involved in the new COD. Dunno to what capacity, but they are.
I also know that they’re involved in which games are on Game Pass. Games such as Vemba and Thirsty Suitors are there because of SBI, which is why I’m allowing my GP sub to expire and not renewing it, which doesn’t affect me at all because I purchase the games I’m interested in anyway.
Microsoft is all in on woke gaming, and now it’s to a point where I’m going to be thoroughly looking at any given western developed game before I’ll shell out a single penny for it. I’m not rewarding this crap with my money, and if it gets bad enough, the Series X will be my last Xbox console, which it may be anyway as Microsoft shifts Xbox more and more into a third party.
What’s the point of a console that has no exclusive content unless it’s head and shoulders more powerful than anything else on the market?
Personally I’m super against sbi but south of midnight feels different. Like it fits, one of the few that works

The people who made Bioware great have been long gone, people seem to have forgotten that Bioware changed when EA allowed Sarkeesian into that studio. Hecke even devs at the time sounded the alarms bells out it. But for some reason you two always dance around the hot topics, while I'm pretty sure you two were in gaming back than.

Gears 6 can be a give buster type dlc. I like many dropped off after gears 3. I've got no interest in gears 4, 5 or a 6.

Im nowhere near a Gears fanboy but my eyes teared up when Mad World started playing and when Marcus's wrist was caught. I just knéw it was Dom before they showed him. That passage in Gears where Dom gave his life for his buddies really made an emotional impact on me. So maybe people faked their reaction but on the other hand, I can understand if it was genuine.
Was watching a live reaction where the guy was going to 100% buy a series X for Doom, but by the end chat told him it was also on PS5 and then he was “welp guess there is no reason to buy an Xbox”

It might’ve been a good idea to finish the new trilogy with Gears 6 before E-Day with the cliffhanger and all. There’s 10 years from E-Day to Marcus gets locked up that more than enough time for a new trilogy imo. (Be cool if we see Gabe Diaz in this era) Who’s going to want to go back to Gears 6 after this? Lol Nice thing about this announcement is the people finally admitting the new games just don’t hit the same as classic Gears of War. Like it’s finally safe for them to say it or something lol.

I wish we could see the day where Xbox decided to share nothing with Sony, and absolutely crush them. The shit they just pulled with Wukong being prime example of why they deserve it
As long as you have got people like Phil Spencer leading the brand there is no chance of happening that ever
I still think the leaks and confirmation of Xbox going more multiplat than before has made it even more less relevant in the mainstream. A lot of lasting damage has been done. No one will pick up their hardware outside the fanboys if they continue on this path. And I dont think they are ready for that. I dont think they are ready to do only 10 million consoles next-gen no matter how much they want to be a big third party publisher. Its going to be a very eye opening blow to them. And they will come out of it with even less mindshare. There will be quick consequences for studios games that don't do well. Because we must remember: the best and most effective way still to get someone to subscribe to gamepass, is to sell them an Xbox. That will not change. While the show was great, and the cadence of games is coming, how they perform is another thing with these premature disruptions. Very high possibility of them becoming another EA at the end of next gen.
Just wait, not everything is going multiplat, most games will stay exclusives, and for new games, most games will be exclusive and stay that way.
When the new Xbox comes out, look for gears of war e day, halo and Yes even elder scrolls 6 will be launch exclusives.
I see fallout being multiplat though like doom. But for every 10 exclusives, expect 1 multiplat
@@liamflan9553 I know there is a very high possibility that atleast half of the titles will remain exclusive. However I will argue that the people not plugged into gaming news, as in casuals which is basically a very high majority will not see it that way. The narrative has been set. And it's a messy one and Xbox has no one to blame but themselves. There is still no clarity on it, and they don't want to give it. Because they themselves don't have it and want to keep their options open. Whereas the general consumer doesn't have the time, interest or money to bother with the ifs and buts. Even with only 5 titles shipping, it has already turned into a perception of a blanket multi platform statement. "Eventually" is enough for people to disengage entirely. It's the classic MS hubris of thinking the masses will bend to their will. That has never worked.
I agree, people that are barely interested in the game industry say Xbox is redundant bcs their games are on PS now.

We all want to stop crunch killing the mental health of devs, right? You know how you do that? You avoid a specific date unless you 100% have to.
Unless you know for sure that you'll be feature compleate without anything major going wrong, just don't make a promise you're not sure of.

Honestly feels like another victim of the Series X
Unfortunately the world does work on so flexible deadlines dude. The dates have nothing to do with developers its more to do with liability and over promising if the deadline does get pushed back. But as we have seen time and time again game will get delayed and still launch broken, unfinished ect.. so things can only get delayed for so long. We had better games in the crutch and old way of developing f the developers just make the game.
"Mental health of the devs" is such a joke. Do we do this for every other industry that requires extremely hard work and long hours?
As long as people are compensated and get over time, fans should be quiet and stay out of it.

Paid mods are great. Let the modders make money off of their work. The only mods I cared about were the ones the was the ones that helped carry capacity and increasing vendor credits.

They modernized Fable by making the worst protagonist of all time. It makes me want to scream and cry at the same time. I love Fable, that gameplay looked phenomenal, I will never get over that hideous protagonist.
It wouldn't be a Series X 2 or Series S 2. It would be a Series 2 X or Series 2 S. X and S are the model. It's basically the iphone naming convention.

That showcase was hot garbage. They're worst showcase in years. Last year's was way better. I feel like I stepped into the Twilight Zone or an extended episode of Black Mirror the moment that thing ended. Have gamer's expectations for these things dropped so low? Like we don't care about gameplay anymore? Just a lot of cinematics, filler, and missing games. 24 seconds of Fable gameplay was enough for ya'll? lol smh This wasn't it. Hoping Nintendo Direct and PlayStation Showcase will be at least decent to make up for this disgrace of a show.
