Nothing Ear Stick Review | One of a kind true wireless earbuds!

- Reviewing the Nothing Ear Stick, a set of true wireless earbuds that offer a different experience to the Ear 1. This unboxing and one-week review shows off the Nothing Ear Stick's best features and fingers the pain points, including a lack of ANC and wireless charging. Still, with a UK price of £99, you're getting a unique true wireless listening experience!
The main difference with the Nothing Ear Stick vs the Ear 1 is that design. These earbuds don't lodge firmly in your lugs, but instead sit comfortably outside, so you don't get that claustrophobic feeling. Awareness is increased, although that also means you can't filter out external din. There's no active noise cancellation here, so podcasts and audio books are drowned out in loud environments.
The Nothing Ear Stick 1 does boast respectable battery life, up to 7 hours on a single charge. That carry case is adorable and offers three full recharges, although it's not as compact as some rivals.
Mic quality is great and overall the Nothing Ear Stick true wireless earbuds will suit anyone who wants a comfortable not-quite-in-ear experience. Check out my unboxing and verdict on the Nothing Phone 1 for more techy shenanigans!

Thanks for watching my Nothing Ear Stick review, much obliged! And if those pesky Telegram scammers pop up in the comments as usual, please do ignore, that's not me! CHeers
keep up the good work
Red in audio always means right.. 👍
The ears doesn't hurt? Because I tried 3 different types and my ears hurt every time
@@roblapierre5236 I never knew this as I have lot of music stuff . Thanks mate
Is that a "Nothing Ear(Stick)" in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?
Lmfaoooo
Well, I'd say a little from column A, a little from column B...
this and the bald scumbag is why I'm subscribed
I understood that reference 😁
@@adamdanilowicz4252 explain please
The lack of silicon tip is always listed as a negative and I get that it hurts the noise cancellation etc but as someone with apparently weird shaped ear holes the silicon tips always work their way out of my ears hard tips can stay in forever
Same, I always see people criticising the tips, but they're the only ones I can use
Same 🙃
Yeah I'm searching for this ear stick because for that reason, I actually use Realme Air 3 and they hurt my ears and they fall off although I use the smallest tip
Same
I kind of feel the same way. Not sure if it’s because the silicone tips were on cheaper models and not as good of a material as more expensive models, but I’ve never had issues with the angled tips falling out. Could be my inexperience with premium models though
1:30 "Full £50 cheaper"
I mean, they're not, they're the same price as the originals, until they bumped the price up about a week ago. That's probably worth noting.
Haven't seen this price bump anywhere except for the Nothing website
@@joshlee2629 that isn't the point though.
You could say the price difference is 'nothing' to be amazed of
Good honest and clear review. top marks for the lack of noise cancelling analogy - "latest little mix play when she's off head on Haribo ". From one Dad to another...That should be a standard test, along with the "mosh" test. Cheers!
Absolutely THE best review of a product I've ever seen. Concise, to the point, thorough, no time wasting, and not too 'techy'. Well done. I've subscribed! (AND just bought these bad boys immediately after your review, which I've never done, EVER!)
Great deep dive into the product! Ordered mine last week, super excited to try them out!
is it good?
Honestly this is great, i was getting tired of ear tips in general, i realize its necessary for ANC but if i had to choose between ANC and comfort .. i choose comfort...
I actually have the ear (1) while they are great the silicon tips just don't work for me so this might actually be a good alternative.
Another precise review!
Also, wanted to know which lav mic are you using?
What is your audio setup?
Great review (as usual). How do you think these compare to the Apple airpod 3’s ?
Clear, concise and charming - as usual. Cheers!
Thanks!
Na, too much speakey, not enough reviewey
Another absolutely brilliant video, VERY VERY funny and had a great laugh. Thank you 👍👍
My pair just arrived today and I am looking forward to giving them some hard rock testing... nice review 👍
How the ear sticks you just got ?? Lmk … thinking of getting a pair…
@@mbell9170 they are still pushing sound to my ears, there have been firmware releases, and even a beta feature with minor noise cancellation of which is just okay. If you can pick them up for $99, sure 👍🏻
Low latency and non-ANC/can still hear what's going on around me is what I've been looking for so I might finally get my first pair of earbuds (several years late). The Sony Linkbuds looked promising but the lack of low latency support was a non-starter. Cheers for the frank review.
You can always just turn off ANC..??
@@simonrockstream True but then I'd be paying for a feature I'd never use. Also they tend to be the silicone tip design that plug up your ear/can't hear your surroundings which is the opposite of what I want.
The pass thru mode on the ear 1 are surprisingly natural, it struggles abit on passing thru low frequency but you’re super aware of your surrounding.
Also the low latency is still lagging abit in games,, you’ll really notice it while typing. Tho it syncs up in video streaming
how are the call quality?
I am looking for an decent open ear earbuds. I'm tired of the soggy feeling because of my super wet sticky ears and I have to keep cleaning the ear tips thoroughly. So far Nothing Ear Stick is looking quite promising, any other alternatives you recommend?
Christmas gift for my son. He's loving them and so do I.
Great review! Convinced me to not purchase these. Was hoping they would be much better, since it has such a great designed, but not for me
Hi. I'm planning to purchase a bone conducting set (the pro vs opencomm). Shokz seems to be the best out there. Hope you can review the Shokz bone conducting sets soon. Cheers.
Is the connectivity issue that destroyed the amazing Ear 1 experience solved? How long have you tested these?
Hey Chris. Did you ever review the Melomania 1+ in ear monitors? I got them from Amazon a few months back and yeah they have been out a couple of years now but for 50quid they are the absolute Shizz.
Switching to Samsung and really needed some wireless earbuds that are similar shape to Airpods Gen 1/2 because it’s legit the only earshape that fits in my ears. These seem rad so I’m going to order them. Thanks for the review!
you could keep using Airpods with your Android phone
@@mcveigh1983 True but there’s a lot of features that don’t carry over. It doesn’t auto detect and you can’t see battery, either. Plus I just kinda wanna try something new since I’ve had my airpods for years
How are they? I have the same problem, and my buds live are dying, so I need new buds that don't have muffled outside sound
Thx bro wonderful review and hopeful everyone I think
Can the nothing ear stick fit in nothing ear 1 charging case and therefore charge wirelessly?
Actually, there is an indicator for each earbud's side. The White and Red dots as it was on the first Ear 1's
Great review 👏
On paper these are pretty decent ear buds but at least in Australia, these buds are $20 more expensive than what the Ear(1) buds used to be before they raised the price by about $70 AUD.
hope you can make a list of best earbuds that can last at least 8hrs per single charge. thanks
Fantastic review and you are very funny haha 👍👍
So are these supposed to be like the AirPods gen 2?so when you have the headphones in you can still clearly hear everything around you?
I know you review new stuffs but could you please review the apple earpods(the wired one)?? Maybe you could compare sound quality with the arpods pro and some other TWS. The thing is, I see many people with it in the street but there is no true review of it
Thanks for another great review @tech spurt, but please stop doing the "motion test" as it could lead to a whiplash injury or serious upper cervical instability! (As many of newer TWS are still on their way ;))
Accurate depiction of unboxing in the real world.
Torn between these and the JBL tune flex ghost edition. Both the same price in the UK.
I do prefer over the ear headphones for anc and stick for general day to day use. I need something to listen to a podcast, participate in meetings and not fatigue. Works fine for me. For airplanes I do have Bose QC 45.
Nothing ear 1 vs stick, which is best sound quality and built quality?
While I love my Airpods pro 2 and 3's I need a none apple, hard tipped buds for a specific use. These would be perfect except the lack of wireless charging.. The shape would be fine, you would just stand them up
I want white noise earbuds with a button so I can switch everything on and off when I want. What kind of product would suit
The design are similar to Monster Clarity 101 Airlinks, released back in 2020. The only difference Nothing have is the charging case made using transparent plastic.
Would I be able to put these in the ear 1 case?
Hi, im trying to search an alternative tips for Nothing Ear1, do you know other earphones with similar nozzle that tips can be interchangeable?
nice review
How do these compare to the JBL Live Flex?
The box! You found the rip strip! No repeat of the nothing phone, eh? Or halfways anyways...
Nah, I'm just pulling your leg, yet another great video and review Chris.
So what's the next product after this nothing ear stick ?
Nothing ear 1 stick and the nothing buds Compatible with the ps 4 or ps5?
Im using it now, it slips out of ears but the sound is loud and have option to tweak bass, mid and fade.
For whatever reason Amazon dropped my order down to just under 40 bucks. Maybe it's a father's day sale... I can't wait for mine, very excited
the best tech blogger ever made! thank you mate!
Daww thanks Igor!
Like earned just because of the mosh test. :D
I really wanted for it to have wireless charging but no which was a huge disappointment for me but is still a really good pair of ear buds
can you also use the custom eq on the original nothing ear 1?
Good cheaper alternatives are the Soundpeats Air 3 and the Fiil CC Nano. Both also feature semi in-ear design like the Nothing Ear Stick but cheaper by about 50%, more or less.
EDIT: The new "Soundpeats Air 3 Deluxe HS" has Hi-Res LDAC, costs around US$40.00 only.
The sound peats 3 get spoiled quickly
I heard Air 3 Deluxe HS doesn't get loud
@@milky_weh Nah they're fine, been using them since they came out.
@@Ssssyyyyyyyyyy bought 2 in the same week . All spoilt
My Ear (1)'s ANC stopped working so i got this as replacement as they weren't selling Ear (1) anymore, not sure how to feel about that considering it doesn't have ANC at all, granted i wasn't a fan of the tips on Ear (1), none of them were quite right and i had to wipe my ears dry every hour or so for them not to slip out.
You've called out apple airpods on a few occasions for having the stems sticking out, how come no such hate for the stems on these?
(FWIW, nothing is clearly inspired by apple's designs from the nothing phone to both the sets of earbuds).
can you compare sounds quality versus airpod 3rd gen? I'm looking for a open type earbuds
Which one is right which one is left?
Red for right comes from old phono cables mate, if you know you know 👍
How do these compare to the Sony Linkbuds?
I would be interested if the case was compact
Looks dope
My ear (1) just broke so i think i’m gonna buy this sometime soon, altho i will miss the flexibility that the ‘(1) had I think I’ll use my Sennheiser CX200 when on the bus, but i find them bloody uncomfortable to wear.
does it support multi-point connection ?
Why do you say that one headset cannot be distinguished from the other, that is why one has a red indicator
Does it support wireless charge?
me watching this wearing my pair of the ear(stick): yes
they are a wonderful pair of tws earphones, fit my ears perfectly for my ears are on the smaller side. really comfortable and the sound quality's really amazing, the bass got good over time, though it took 2 firmware updates for that to happen. However, i do not recommend it. the earphones don't fit everyone, i was lucky. the nothing ear 2 is a (way) better option. the ear 2 has anc, transparency mode, and lhdc 5.0 codec support, all of which the ear stick doesn't.
I have the original and love them
Great review as always, the earsticks look fine but, unfortunately, I am sure they wouldn't fit my ears as none of this type ever did! 😜
Cheers Gerhard! The lack of different sized tips is kind of a concern, shame there's no way to test them before buying!
@@TechSpurt Exactly... so I bought 5 pairs of earbuds on black Friday greatly reduced in price - only 1 pair fit nicely, 2 kinda okish and 2 pairs were absolutely useless so I gave them away!
where do you get your anime wallpapers from??
this or galaxy buds live?
Mine does not produce full volume anymore after 2 months. It's very soft at about 10% despite being at full volume. Anyone else too?
How does this work with iOS?
This man is pure comedy
If the dog hasn,t swallowed them or anything - TechSpurt 2022
The red dot matches the red lid so its VERY easy to remember which one is which lol
How do they come up with such a bad case design? Like where do they think people hold their earbuds cases?
Well I can imagine many dusts come into the case inside after using few months I love their design and concept tho
It's honestly not much different than other cases, like with Airpods... Dust gets into those cases, too.
Why a lipstick shape! Good work Sir. 👍
Was that some August Burns Red during the mosh shesh? 😅
Looks definitely cool and unique, but I can imagine dust stuck underneath the transparent case after just few days of using
After a month nasty shit all day
Where is Sunderland in the points table
Not a short cable. Nice medium length. And girthy.
I'm wondering how good it is for video games like FPS, for the footsteps etc
すてきな動画をありがとう!!
Is there any reason to buy them when you already have the nothing 1 ear.
Because you want them
That case looks as though it was modeled off the monster clarity 101 airlinks....🤔
Reminds me of the Moto hint
This or Edifier W320TN?
Yess for the first time in super early to this
So, styling and tricked-out case aside, basically they are similar spec to your average £50 pair of buds, but twice as expensive? Hmm, isn't that the opposite of Nothing's mission statement?
These are currently 40€ in my local store. Worth it?
£32 on TikTok shop
gonna be honest, my brother has a pair of nothing ear 1s, the sound is inferior to my Moondrop Arias in every way
not a fan of 40% marketing, 50% looks and 10% actual sound
Fan of Sunderland Fc , guy is been through a lot 😭
yeah no thought it was pretty obvious which one is right, lest one is colour blind
Tech Spurt Thanks Much !
Just wanted to give you a shoutout, you bring the entertainment and enough drinkin and suffering jokes every time. Every video I wonder how you're gonna mention the Iphone SE and shit on it professionaly hahaha it's just that traumatic for you
Not good, the volume is lower and there are times base changes like you are listening to a broken speaker.
When is viewers comments coming back?
So nothing worth buying?
Red dot is right. Nothing establish this in with Ear 1 but people forget
I actually loved the background song!
