This is my first video.. and i just wanted to share my experience on how to remove ANY STAIN FROM CONCRETE Economically
EVERYTHING I AM USING IS NON TOXIC .
TWO STEPS INVOLVED ..**please note ..you must absorb oil first. You can use kitty litter or sand. I recommend sand, since we already bought it and cheaper ***
STEP 1
BUY A BAG OF SAND ($3. 99 HOME DEPOT)
1 BRICK $.042 CENTS @ HOME DEPOT
STEP 2
SPREAD LITE AMOUNT OF SAND AND GRIND IN.
WATCH VIDEO AND SHARE AND SUBSCRIBE FOR HARDWORK INVOLVED.
GOD BLESS
If you like please subscribe. And share with fellow friends. Let me know if you want me to test anything else out.
Since I couldn’t find the standard brick at Home Depot or Lowe’s, I tried your last suggestion and looked in my neighbor’s back yard. Found the brick but couldn’t fix my driveway bc I got arrested for trespassing.
You are absolutely ADORABLE
.....muah
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
this has to be one of the best videos i have seen on removing stains thank you very much
Thank you kind hearted soul. I swear it never came back. 2 years later and my parents still let me live at home because it didn't come back
You're not really removing the stain. You're just breaking off microscopic residue of concrete and pushing it into the pores. The stain is still there you're just covering it up
In August 2023 we got a concrete pool deck put down. I used CLR hoping to remove a rust stain from some furniture. The CLR stained the concrete even worse and it’s been an eye sore the whole time. The CLR stain was about 60ft long. Tried everything and even considered concrete resurfacing. Watched this video and grabbed a hand size brick from the flowerbed. It works!!!! Thank you for this video!
I tried this and it did grind out the stain (it wasn’t too old or too deep, but was on a porous concrete slab)… however when the concrete gets wet, you can see where the grinding creates a slight depression in the surface) . If your concrete is super pristine , I’d be careful with this method. If you have older and imperfect concrete then this will probably be perfect. It really does work, just beware of slight damage !
Thank you for feedback. My second video shows with sand and it worked perfectly. Thank you again
Put some cat litter on top first and mill it in with the brick. It comes up almost instantly and without damaging the surface!
Thanks so much for this video my son spilled grease in our driveway and we just moved in
a couple months ago
Wow, looked good in the video. My mess is on a smooth concrete though.
So this basically rubs the brick into dust that lays on top of the oil stain and camouflages it until it gets wet and washes away the dust?
I assure you never came back. Mom was and is happy.
Amazing work! I can't believe you did that with your bare hands. I'll have to try this but I'm definitely buying gloves. Have a wonderful safe day and thanks for the video!
Thank you so much . I did a second video with sand and its 100 times faster. Please check
worked like a charm. thank you so much.
Awwww. Thank you second video i have uses sand.
That wouldbe my question. Did it grind off the stain? Or did it cover the stain with light colored residue from the "brick"?
Only science and God knows. I tired and success
I admit this realy looks like magic, but can't wait to try it out,,, keep you posted ; ) Thanks for sharing this !!
Unfortunately this won't work. What it does is it lays a layer of cement dust from the piece and from the driveway concrete on top of the stain and covers it, which will be washed off as soon as you hose it off. I tried it and it all washed off. There is no way the concrete piece would get the oil out. It just covers is with cement dust.
Oh wow wonderful I have to try that thank you much for this video 👍
What kind of brick did you use? I don't recall seeing anything like that at Home Depot.. Did you break it off from a cement block or did it come in that size? Thanks for your reply!
I apologize for delay in response. It was $.39 cents and it was in the brick section of HOME DEPOT . Thank you again
@@marjantareq4066 thank you
I like the sound it makes
ASMR brick scrub
I did this one time manny manny moons ago not knowing what I was doing it just came to me some how. 20 something years later I c someone doing it grinding style. Wish I could get the lotto numbers while I'm at it
It's like a big eraser for concrete only!
Some say this works, some say it doesn't, both are right because it depends largely on how deep the oil has penetrated. Some of the factors that effect how easy it is to remove an oil stain: 1) how much oil was spilled, 2) how long it sat on the concrete, 3) the viscosity of the oil, 4) how dirty the oil was (suspended solids), 5) the porosity of the concrete and rather it was sealed.
Because of all the above factors, there isn't a single solution to this common problem.
Never came back but thank you so much for the time and wealth of info
@@marjantareq4066 Your solution is different than most others and pretty easy, glad it worked! :)
I think it also depend on the quality of your driveway concrete...
Damn! I just threw out a heap of that hebel block! Awesome job tho❤. Cheers from Australia, subbed and liked 👍👍👍
You are the beauty I'm the world😊
Have you washed the driveway since then? Does it come over when you wash it or does it still hide the stains?
Its amazing. It never came back. Kid you not. Thats why i had to share it.
Marjan Tareq thank you!!
Marjan Tareq you didn't hear her, LOL... HOME DEPOT, OR YOUR NEIGHBORS YARD.
Sry man, this is a horrible vid
sry comment was for Michael Frei
It was my first video ever. Sorry it was not prepared well.
actually worked perfectly. thank you make more awesome videos
WOW!!! IT WORKS!!!
😯😯😯😲😲😳 WOW! How did it look after rain?
Kid you not.. it didn't come back. Sorry for real late response. Usually I'm good about it. Thank you again
I'm actuallly impressed. Didn't think that was going to work. Will it work on old stains? Or only fresh ones?
David Mock yes on old stain as well. No kidding. ua-cam.com/video/ZMIq1MEEMuM/v-deo.html. This video shows sands usage and sand works ten time better and faster. In the halfway marj. Thank you again
Very nice, but is it permanent? Is it that the dust from the brick covers the tiny oil stained groves in the pavement? If so does the dust go away after time revealing oil stain?
Dan Sam thank you so much. 11 months later... it has never come back. Promise.
Wow, awesome. I'm going to try it, thanks.
Dan Sam I also made a second video. ua-cam.com/video/FA6NeGhJEpw/v-deo.html. I used sand and the work time is cut by 80%. And it looked even better. Of you wanna give it a try. P.S. thank YOU
Is it ok to use a red brick? I can't find a light colored brick like u are using .
In home depot they sell it for $.49 cents just in case
If I use a red brick I guess that that would turn the concrete red or pink, correct? You also suggested using sand instead. What type and grit of sand are you suggesting that I use? Thanks for passing this along to others.
Ben Harrison .. thank you for watching. this is my second video
ua-cam.com/video/trGdoDSJufw/v-deo.html. halfway thru video I use regular sand.. like beach sand from home depot. the sand is amazing. 1000 times faster and it never reappeared. ever. please give video a thumbs up if you like.
Wow! Does this also work for candle wax stains on concrete too? Awesome ❤️
It should, or a razor blade to remove majority and then brick. Good luck and thank you
It worked for me but I had to miss work the following day due to being so sore lol 😆
😆😆😆😆 so cute
Well if this works you could just use a belt sander with 36 grit. I've sanded my whole garage floor with that before and will chew up a lot of the surface
any smarter idea if the oil stains are on asphalt driveway?
Easy off oven cleaner works great on asphalt
Is it creating friction heat? Maybe that's why it never came back. You burned it off
alissabethla perhaps not sure really. but it never came back. one year later and still clean. did it work for you?? thanks for watching
It exfoliated the top layer . Btw you can use a damp mr clean and clean the leather straps on Louis vuitton bags super light hand will exfoliate the stained top layer back to almost brand new .
Thanks I am going to try this
Step one steal your neighbors bricks😂
Thats what a good neighbor is for 😉
Does this work with tie dye also? I think this video is very useful btw
I have never tried it with tie dye... but lets do it. Why not right? Goodluck and thank you very much. I have a sexond video with sand halfway thru video works amazing
Same idea as a pencil eraser. It works because it is removing the concrete, in turn, removing the oil attached to it.
What is it called...a concrete cleaning block?
No just a random concrete block with sand and concrete works 100 times faster which is shown on my second video. Please check it out.
will this remove depression
It should if stains depress you
Hi there does any brick work?? I dropped wood stain on concrete.. hope to hear from you!!!
yes any brick will do. but if you also check out my second video. I use sand and brick. 100 times faster. good luck
Its a stone?
the name of that type of brick? why does it have a wire embedded into it? awesome, I just want to make sure I get the same thing.
ua-cam.com/video/trGdoDSJufw/v-deo.html check this out please. Sand works amazing with it. Does not reappear. Wire is not important. My home depot had wires in it. Please like and subscribe if you like it. Thank you
You mostly just covering the stain with the powder you created rubbing it that way. But hell,, I'm willing to try anything. I got diesel VERY BLACK diesel oil on my driveway! UGH!!!!!!!
Looks good - I intend to try it. Probably worth wearing gloves for big jobs.
vinyltone please check out this second video. Much simpler with sand. Halfway thru video ua-cam.com/video/trGdoDSJufw/v-deo.html
And then it started raining...
Can this take sharpie off?
It should be able to with sand and brick. Good luck
Will this technique work with bbq grease ?
Yes. All day long. I have a second video that uses sand. Under my videos you can check it out. Sand absorbs and bricks assists. Good luck
Whoa! Well done! Thanks!
Joseph Stokes awww. Thank you so much. Just in case I did one with sand. ua-cam.com/video/trGdoDSJufw/v-deo.html halfway thru video I use sand.
Im gonna try this on some spit stains my annoying ass brother in law made, can i use any kind of sand where im at there is alot of natural red sand piling that blows into my yard
Gun_Point130 sorry about brother in law. in regards to color I picked beach sand color so the color matches. the sand was 2.99 at home depot just in case. if you try another color .. please let me know how it turned out. lots of success
Gun_Point130 maybe a small test sample you would like to work on. best of luck. sand and brick are aaaaamazing
I think you would save time by just using this ON your brother in law.
wow. i will have to try this. i wonder if it works on pavers?
I also have a second video and it shows it with sand and the sand is amazing I love it I wish I'd done that on my first video cuz I just kept upgrading thank you so much for watching the video
you just place the sand on the pavers and you scrape it on?
John Gildersleeve yes sir. I have washed driveway and stains NEVER REAPPEARED. ua-cam.com/video/trGdoDSJufw/v-deo.html
ua-cam.com/video/trGdoDSJufw/v-deo.html
How is your arm?
Will this remove cooking oil stain
It should . If you check out my second video i used sand and concrete brick ans 100 x faster and awesome results. Good luck
Gotta figure a way to get that brick on a machine though
My second video with sand. Please check out. Helps like a smooth running machine
Huh? I never knew this was possible!
wow thank you so much , this is exactly what I needed
Does this remove stains like footprints from paint
Jason Hoang it should. try sand and block
You seem like a very lovely lady with a good sense of humor.
Unfortunately, this method is not very effective for a long-term solution. You are grinding the brick down creating very fine dust that fills in the gaps. It's like putting talcum powder on tan skin. Your skin looks white, but it isn't actually white, it's just the powder. Water will remove the dust and show the stain again. Great solution if you are cheap and selling a home but want to hide stains from a prospective buyer ;)
Some suggestions:
Method 1 - 85% effective (preferred method since it's cost effective and safe)
Use soap and warm water to draw out the oil from the concrete (soap dissolves oil and oil is lighter than water, causing it to rise up). Use an absorbent material to suck it all up (kitty litter is ok but finer material is better, absorbent powder from AutoZone, diatomaceous earth, floor sweep...etc).
Method 2 - 80% effective for deep stains, 90% for shallow stains
Use a high heat torch (like a handheld camping torch) of Propane or MAPP (available at Home Depot for 6 bucks or 11 bucks respectively). I haven't tried Butane but I don't think it's hot enough. Anywho, the high heat torch will burn the oil right out of the concrete. Once the dark color starts going away, stop or you will stain your concrete from the burning carbon.
Method 3 - 90% effective
Pour n' Restore. Bought at Home Depot. Use a stiff wire brush to apply. For stubborn stains, keep it wet longer by spraying with water.
Method 4 - 80% effective
TSP with fine absorbent material, same as method 1. Works best for shallow stains.
You are so sweet. I made a second video using sand. But honestly it never came back otherwise my mom would have killed me. Not lying. Never came back. And it poured this year. But I love you for the tips. You are so sweet for taking time. I will post your tips on my blog with your permission
@@marjantareq4066 Feel free to re-post.
I think you may have a better concrete compound than others, perhaps the oil doesn't seep in as easily. My concrete is so porous, superficial work does little to remove stains because they penetrate easily.
@@jacksonfev thank you.. everytime. Your a doll
What happens to oil when you set it on fire?
Use a propane weed burner.
This did not work for me. At first it appeared to work, but once the concrete got wet; it came right back.
Try it with the sand pls which was my second video
thank you miss Tareq from your nice video
Mostafa afghan thank you 😊
Is this real? I feel like you're messing with me somehow
I am not. It works but it works faster with sand which is on part 2
Shes just dusting over the stains
Will this also work for BIRD DROPPING stains?????
Yes it will
That looks like real work to do...
Big Jes hi ... it was first attempt. Second video I use sand and brick and it's fast as heck. It's halfway thru video. Pls check out and let me know. Thanks in advance ua-cam.com/video/FA6NeGhJEpw/v-deo.html
Really wow
you are not removing anything you are just hiding the stains using concrete dust. the first rain those stain will come back.
Now pressure wash and seal it and you're done!
I highly doubt this works just because your scraping it with a brick that covers with cement dust, its like taking a white rock and scratching a blacktop and making white lines as if it was chalk
It worked. 2nd video shows sand. Never came back otherwise mom would have kicked me out. Take a leap of faith
It may depend on how deeply the stain has penetrated. This would likely work if the stain is just on the surface. If the oil has gone deeply into the pores of the concrete, this would be temporary at best. That's why for some this works and some it doesn't. From the looks of the stains she shows, they are fairly superficial and not from a significant spill.
nice
Leave it to a Woman to figure this out!! Ahahahaha!!! I have watched a dozen videos. I sure hope this works!! Thanks!
I heard she was still scratching that brick when the cops showed up.
Ingenious
Thank you I’m going to give it a go before partner gets back from holiday and pours grease over me, the same grease I spilled from my chainsaw oil. We human always find way so thanks for sharing.
Harry Novirok thank you . pls check out my second video. sand and brick are 100 faster.
The stain will be back as soon as it rains.
G Heald it never came back. 10 months later. And with sand ua-cam.com/video/trGdoDSJufw/v-deo.html
@@marjantareq4066 Well I don't know about you but I'm Getting a brick like this and trying THIS where I work.
that's what I thought too . It looks like it just getting covered up with white powder from the friction lol
does it really work
Derek Lucero yes.. i have a second video that uses sand. works amazing
Incredible...thanks...Raccoons got into my trash cans and ripped open a bag of cooking oil ...it stained the concrete.. I've used several things and couldn't get that ugly dirty looking stain out ..
Awesome .. so glad it worked. Hope you hit the like button
Well thank you
yea just wait till it rains
Thank you david. YES!! OLD & NEW. In second video I DID ROCK VS. SAND. WHEN i used sand ten times quicker. Trust me . ua-cam.com/video/trGdoDSJufw/v-deo.html. please check out video and LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. If you sprinkle sand on new stain. IT WILL ALSO ABSORB
You are so welcome. Ir was home depot at 39 cents to 69 cents. Sand and brick work the best as evident on my second video. Thank you for the response
You are not removing anything... All you are doing is adding concrete powder to the surface and scratching the concrete. A hard rain and it's back. If you want to actually remove it, and not cover it up, use a degreaser and pressure wash it with hot water... Also you will never get all of it out, only 90% of it. There will always be a shadow left behind. Longer it sat there, the more noticeable the shadow.
I'm confused, you don't say exactly what it is you were using
It’s called “ concrete dobies with Wire” it’s roughly 3inch and average price here in the west at Home Depot 78 cents including the tax. It worked for me but for heavy oil stains I would wash it with liquid TSP first. Good luck guys.
@@edwardteach-mccloud4952 thanks!
super
Unfortunately all you're doing is covering up the oil stain from the dust of the brick...
No sir. Not at all. 3 years later, and never came back.
It is grinding a small layer of the concrete off. Which removes a superficial layer, the layer containing the stain.
You are ruining the concrete...concrete must be sealed so you are removing the seal.
The driveway is still stained and does not look brand new as you state. But thanks anyway...
Did you try sand?? With sand in my second video it looks BRAND NEW. please try it. The url is written on my first video. Thank you
I sees it but I don't believes it.
Too much work! I’m tired from just watching!
totally understand... my second video ua-cam.com/video/FA6NeGhJEpw/v-deo.html. does the job in seconds.
Hahaha! Me too!
Ahahahahahhahaha you completely ruined ur concrete......... ahahahahahhahaha
Actually best results ... but thank you sir
Just covering it in dust waste a time
Actually 2 years later. It never came back.
This is crazy lol
So this works before the sprinklers go on? Why not just ake chalk and do the same thing. LOL. So funny to see the amount of thoughtless thumbs up 429! vs only 38 This is our UA-cam public.
Completely useless. Once your rinse it off it's as if you didn't touch it!
Joel Stern sorry if you didn't have the arm strength.
it never came back for us my second video shows with sand and brick. work out buddy. best of luck
Genius - I threw 90+ mph fastballs competitively for over 20 years so my arm strength isn't an issue. I guarantee my arm strength is a helluva lot more powerful than yours... I used sand and a brick and kitty litter like you recommended. It looks great until water hits it. Others, as you can read below found the same issue. If you're going to post a how-to video, do it right. THE FIRST TIME!!!
This is stupid, you're actually sanding down the driveway with a rock and making the pavement uneven I'm sure.
Technically, this does not remove the stain. You are actually hiding it and the spots will reappear after some weathering. Nice try, though.
Factually it never came back. But thank you
