@@choiby never heard of it but I'll check it out! I mean if he had his own concept and made music to go with it, like if in this video it zooms all the way in and lands on a character that you then play as and you have to escape that place
Holy crap Joe Hisaishi really is on the same level as Beethoven or Mozart!!! Every song he releases is an absolute masterpiece, like pure honey for your ears!!!
I knew Hisaishijo when I was in elementary school. The background music from the movie background of the Korean War called "Welcome to Dongmakgol" was so good that I found out who composed it and it was Hisaishijo. I wanted to go see his performance as a child. I had no money and time. Then, I, who became a college student, heard that there was a performance in Korea in August 2017, and quickly went to buy tickets. However, due to the upcoming enlistment and discord with friends, the purchase was not delayed. So in the army, I endured each day listening to Hisaishijo's songs.(Of course, I didn't just listen to Hisaishijo's songs.) And I tried to go to Japan to see Hisaishijo's performance after finishing the army safely. The Corona barrier once again blocked me. They will perform in the UK in May 2021, but I will not be able to go. Because now I have to step up to society and get a job. When can I meet him? If I visit Korea again, there will be no wish for a lifetime.
Btw. I wonder why it's considered old to love? Like all the older songs about love are considered old and songs that just move you with instruments aren't considered to be valuable by the masses and I find that to be a shame.
Its rare to find composers that continuously make a masterpiece every time, purely timeless pieces, his music is just like good wine, taste better as it gets older.
Having seen Ghibli and Beat Takeshi movies as an adolescent, and now listening to these later really give them a new perspective. Like a fine wine indeed.
I feel this song is about a reminiscence about one life, when they are about to meet their end of life. They look back to all events happen in their life, a bitter sweet journey but still feeling grateful of everything passed. As they closed their life and finally find peace.
A melody that cleanses and beautifies the mind every time you hear it. I learned the original song from the album "Paradise on the ground" released in 1994. For me, this song has a strong impression of the original piano and strings, but the piano solo also has a special sound. Thank you very much!
One of my life dreams as a composer is to meet this man in person, just to see him in front of me is just a huge achievement for me, continue to compose great music :)
This music piece has a big amount of emotions and meanings. Like many composers. like none other Antonio Vivaldi, Frederic Chopin, Franz Liszt and most of all Johannes Brahms. This was lovely to listen to, Thank you for your piece! It was outstanding!
I was wondering why the name Joe Hisaishi felt like a name I knew from somewhere. My man is resposible for the magical and immersive music in Ghibli movies
It's so smooth like wind passing by on a summer night. Melody full of serenity like the world was and will always be beautiful. As If the music stops magic will be stopped as well
Past, future, and present, all come together in this song. The hopefulness that there will be a better tomorrow, the pain of regrets of the past, and the relief of finally letting go to enjoy the present
This is just sublime... the melody takes me into a journey in a magical world, almost like if it was an analogy of what we are living as humanity right now, with ups and downs, going through this labyrinth of eden, not realizing that each step we take, failure or success, is a step closer to Eden... I strongly believe that there is hope for humankind and this melody makes me feel it, that each day we live and overcome our own challenges and collectives ones, we are more resilient, more humans and openhearted beings... May the force be with you and shall humanity arise from ashes to return to a state of harmony and grace, a truly brotherhood of man!
Wow! Another amazing masterpiece again. Speaking of masterpiece I've watched studio ghibli movies a lot of times. I've been watching it over and over again and I will not get tried watching those movies.
I am lucky to have lived in the world he has composed and played in
Me too, he’s one of the most amazing composers and pianists I’ve ever heard
Is that a jojo reference
I second that!
Actually he can telepathically communicate with frogs and they send him all the melodies, he then plays what the frogs show him.
😍
i feel so grateful to live in the same era as Joe Hisaishi
Fr
same
Man imagine if he made a videogame and composed every song, it'd probably become a masterpiece
You mean like Ni No Kuni (which I highly recommend by the way!)? Or do you mean a game that he himself also wrote as well as composed for?
@@choiby never heard of it but I'll check it out! I mean if he had his own concept and made music to go with it, like if in this video it zooms all the way in and lands on a character that you then play as and you have to escape that place
Ni no kuni is so beautiful it’s as close as you can get to living in a studio ghibli world
Damn that would be amazing
there's this game series with absolutely amazing music that makes you feel similarly. It's called Gravity Rush. It's my favorite series of all time.
this makes me want to pack a knapsack full of bread and cheese and wander off to a flower garden in the mountains
And stumble upon a walking castle? That sounds nice
And also meet a handsome wizard to fall in love with? Yeah I’d like that too
You'd die of thirst without brining water 😂😂😂
Lol
Howl's Fractal Castle
Joe Hisaishi does not lose his essence of a world full of fantasy and that makes me feel good.
