The First EVER Pit Stop In Complete Darkness!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 гру 2023
- Can the Oracle Red Bull Racing pit crew complete a pit stop in pitch black conditions? The Team have done thousands of pit stops, whether that be in pit stop practice or during an actual race. We asked Max Verstappen, Checo Perez, Team Principal, Christian Horner and some other members of the Team to guess on how fast they could be. But, let's see how fast they actually are once we turn down the lights.

So, during a single Mercedes 2019 German GP pit-stop Red Bull crew can perform 18 pit-stops in darkness
if you say so, rb crew can do like around 55,000 pit stops in darkness during bottas 2021 monaco gp pit stop
f1 maths
@@benson621some say the F1 car was swapped and that wheel is still attached to the original car 😂
@@benson621 54507 to be precise.
@@tharealmbI imagine Jeremy Clarkson saying that 😅
Max was happy knowing he can count on his pit stop crew 😂😂
Always 🤝
That was a super fake "yeah".
bruh they got tactical car jackers
@@MushroomKingdoomyou're obviously a new fan and a hater of Max. Of all drivers on the grid, Max is the realest guy out there, no fake, no bs.
@@heartsalloveryeah, like in Austria, he got like 2 sec gap to Charles and full trust in his crew. Stopped on last lap for fastest lap point

Red Bull: I took that personally
Of course

@@NadirAgha whoops sorry for that that's a mistake i did it's fine ☺️
The Mercedes slander lol "2.84, you know some teams would love to be able to do that in the race" love it.
I just love how you guys always get creative, take the deep dive, and pull it off!
🫡
Just goes to show you how skilled the pit crew is!
Moving moutains every day 🐐
Average 2023 pitstop time by merc : 2.81 ! Conclusion: merc is blind? 😊
You must be blind to like those shitty cars lol
Wasn't it 3.2 for merc=
😁
If that is the average, it’s a deceiving one. There were multiple times during the season they choked and handed their drivers a 4-5 second wank-fest when they needed under 2.5
And Toto doesn’t seem to see the problem, which is fine 😂
@@mmwosu yes, its deceiving, but still😄
Redbull was literally doing side-quests
Side quests are the best
They trying to 100% platinum the game lmao literally achievement hunting at this point
“Nah Lets go again” It only took 2:51 for competitive juice to be in full swing. Love this team, every single member is top notch.
Pitstops are one of my absolute favourite things about Formula 1 - it is the epitome of perfect teamwork, and nobody does it better than Red Bull Racing. Keep it up, lads!
🥹
This is why RB is a good team, they have fun at work!
Absolutely
Red bull reaaallyyyy took very serious the thing of "In formula 1 we train for every possible situation" when they're already training for race with a blackout
Next time they will drop the car out of a plane and perform a pitstop before opening the parachutes. If that one is a success they'll shoot the car into orbit and perform a pitstop in the vacuum of space while in micro gravity. Blindfolded.
@@KneppaH Actually, they already sort of did that second one. They did a pit stop just after the top of a parabolic trajectory in a vomit comet from NASA. No vacuum there, but gravity was extremely low like in space. Just search their channel, they probably have the video still uploaded, i remember seeing it myself.
@@EntropicExergy nice! Didn't know that one
Faster than normal Ferrari pit stop
Ferrari does good pit stops, the problem is the strategy team
Mercedes is the one with the shit pitstops, Ferrari is the one with the shit strategy.
@@jongcena2555 No, they mess up almost every pitstop
@Hmmmmmmm2 this year, they were great, probably consistently 2nd best after Red Bull.
@@Hmmmmmmm2 u probably started watching formula 1 because of 🅱️inotto memes then.
Ferrari pit crew is very consistent, they might not be the fastest because of Redbull, but they always do 2/2.3.
The problem are the pitwall and the race engineers who mess up almost every race.
I love that you guys are making videos during the off season. keep it up! great team
The only cooking we do
@@redbullracing careful, I heard cooking gets expensive at RB
This was actually done after the Qatar GP, not after the season was over.
“Some teams would love to do that in a normal race” 😄😄
You never cease to amaze me. The best pitstop crew in the world. 👏👏👏
Great teamwork = Great results🔥
This is so profound actually from a mental perspective. I don't think they realize. Or maybe that is why they're practicing it. We are use to seeing. When you bring feeling and hearing into the equation, it elevates an athletes' performance tremendously.
That’s called mind’s eye
So when other teams were trying their best to figure out how to beat RBR in 2023, RBR was trying out side quests😂😂
love side quests
It doesn't surprise me. Redbull has the BEST pitcrew on the grid. Those guys work very, very hard, and you can see the pride in the way they work.
Props to all the pit crews of Red Bull abseloute masterclass👏
New F1 penalty: Exceeding the speed of darkness.
This is absolute mental 🤯 Absolutely mind blowing🔥
we said let them cook
maxs reactiom to their time was so cute
“Yeah, 4 seconds is good…”
You can tell they wanted to say “faster than Mercedes with the lights on” 😂
"We're gonna do a pit stop"
"That's fine"
"Completely in the dark"
"That's not fine"
We are honoured to be featured in this extraordinary achievement! This collaboration is the epitome of both Red Bull Racing and THEON’s revolutionary boldness to overcome any challenges faced along the way. Thank you Magenta Films for reaching out.
That’s actually a brilliant way to practice. If done regularly, this would hone their precision and timing in a big way.
Make it a regular drill guys.
Let’s go Red Bull.
If you are looking for help I’m available. Not with this though, I’m a paraplegic so that definitely wouldn’t be helpful but I’m active, passionate, a college grad and a fairly cool guy if I do say so. 🤙🏻
This took “its lights out and away we go” to another level
And here I thought the Zero-G pitstop was awesome. This one is even better. Redbull comes up with the most unique scenarios. Keep the content coming!
side quests pending
This is actually a really good idea for training! They literally sharpen their sight every time they practice but practicing in complete darkness they have no option but to sharpen every other sense. After doing 100 of these dark pitstops I am sure a regular one should be a cake walk.
Love You guys!!! You guys ROCK AF!!! The fact you ALL PAUSE your time off: to be all present and to accept the challenge and even to it so beautifully...It shows the spirit and excellency You all represents as Pit Crew Members!!!
Let's get back that world record from McLaren. Red Bull is the best team 🎉

I love challenges involving the pit crew, after all they’re the unsung hero’s of F1.
I feel like this inherently improves their skill and camaraderie
Bottas Monaco intensifies looking at those sparks 😂
This pit team is like a rock solid foundation all in Red Bull can build on, what a top notch professionals!!
Not only boosting morale, but facing adversity on a strange level such as this will also make them better when it's race time 💪💪
This is why I love Red Bull F1. Great video.
Checo said "33" seconds, Max's number... It's all in his head 😅
It's amazing to see that everyone is doing this challenge seriously. There was a tense atmosphere and kudos to the crew. Amazing job
Now they gotta get back that record from McLaren!
Honestly, having the training to now start listening to sounds might actually help because our reaction to auditory stimuli is often quicker than visual ones
@@ThisIsMegoi wouldve thought different since speed of light > speed of sound
@@yeetskeet691 Perhaps the neural pathway for sounds is shorter (ears closer to the brain than eyes are) than that of vision. I know vision is processed at the rear of the brain, can't say where it happens for sounds. If so, it would make sense we have a faster response to sounds. In either case, it's the drift speed of electrons in organic tissue we have to consider, compared to the length of the neural pathways traveled. Speed of light and sound doesn't matter for events up close; they only do for far away events (like lightning that occurs km's far away).
I have such high regard for pitstop crew, they can make or brake a race, and they work under such stress.
🤝
brake a race lol
Unbelievable content, great job by that pit crew, impressive as hell

Looks fun. Maybe you guys should practice this way sometimes. Great work all!
At first i thought about 6 seconds but i remembered Redbull have the best of the best in any sport they can get their hands on
This shows why redbull is so dominant. It's not just that they've got amazing drivers, an amazing car but also that every other part of the redbull machinery works like a very well oiled machine. It's because drivers can trust the pitstops that they can be risky, like when max wanted to go for a fastest lap at the last lap of the race, you can't do that if you don't have complete faith in the pit crew.
red bull is impressive, imagination and skill along with perseverance make them achieve great things, my respects.
Max can be happy that his crew did some pit-stop training :)
Red Bull is genuinely the best team, hands down. They show up every single weekend, they never give up, they have the best attitude, they are competitive, fun, creative and the realest team on the grid. Setting the bar high since they came in 🔥
