Definitely the way I sit makes a lot of difference. After eating I have to stay fairly still for 30 -60 minutes and put my arms above my head if possible and stretch out my stomach and make myself as long as I can. I saw it on a video of a midwife getting rid of wind in a baby! I try to stretch my intestines by lifting one arm and then the other and it kind of works. If I say hunched I would been the same agony you're describing. Hope that helps 🙏
General cooking videos are great; sometimes the biggest problem with making a new recipe is having no idea what the intermediate steps should look like ("until smooth", "nice and thick", "slightly browned" etc.) and seeing the recipe made in video gives me a lot more confidence that my own attempt is on track
thats really good to know :) i will keep up with little cooking bits then! I know what you mean about not knowing what its meant to look like etc! xx

Hey Becky, great video! I can relate to the pain/bloating after sitting on the sofa with my legs up. And most of the time it comes when I then move or lie down. So frustrating! I hope it doesn't happen too often for you. Thank you for your content and your books!

I just want to say you’ve helped me so much when I was at my lowest because I genuinely thought there was no way I could live my life whilst being gf,df, and on a low fodmap diet,on top of that being vegeterian.Thankyou Becky Excell!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Meditation has helped with my stomach issues ,also love your nails !

Hi Becky! I've tried to keep a food journal. I usually end up stopping and regret that I stopped. I'm in the middle of a flare right now and don't know what might have caused it because no journal! Any tips for keeping up with journaling?

I would say stop sitting like that and see how you do, maybe it constricts you gut and causes some issues.
So good to see you again. I have so many dietary issues and can’t eat a lot of what you cook, but love watching to get ideas.
I’m Gluten free, dairy free, night shade free and no onion or garlic and I also have histamine issues, so I can’t eat lots of foods because of that. Maybe I will get there one day.🧡

yeah i love videos of everyday life stuff so will deffo do more :D love the imac, the colour is fab and its so so thin, i thought my previous one was thin but this one is even thinner. Mark actually just got the green one too which is nice, but i prefer the blue :p xx

OMGyes Becky ,I suffer so so bad with my bowells n blotting,the pain is very real. I have to irrigate every days to go to no.2 everyday 😩 it’s not easy at all Becky !!!!!

I get stomach ache and feel super sick anytime I nap on the sofa. I naturally nap with my legs bent and almost tucked into a ball with my knees up by my chest so I squish my stomach up. I call it my 'sensitive stomach'! Hope you're ok and it doesn't come back!

I have been DF for years and I've tried different non- dairy alternatives, but I always experience a reaction. Not as bad, as before. I don't think it's your sitting posture, but like you, I've experienced such discomfort that you mentioned hour(s) after a meal eating non- dairy products (cheese, milk, etc...). I did away with them altogether, no more bloating, cramps, gasses, restroom breaks. Try using Rice beverage, instead of lactose free milk. Try eliminating non-dairy altogether. Best!

Sorry to hear you suffered that evening. That mustard contains sulphites which some people struggle to cope with, unless you know it’s not a problem for you, it might be worth eliminating for a while to see if there is any difference. x

Hey! Thanks so much! I can eat gluten free oats (little bit of bloating but they seem to do more good than bad for me), i couldnt eat peppers for years but have introduced again and can in small amounts, tomatos ive been mainly ok with over the years :)
@@BeckyExcell oh love.. am glad u can at least use these vegetables as they are tasty in every day foods, l will see if l can try the gluten free oats as the normal oats sort of cause constipation on me.. have you tried to reduce the oxalate alswel to se if you can improve ur gut health further. Thanks

Hi Becky... I struggle to feel like there's no end. I've started to do yoga, feels a bit of relief. Sometimes I get brain fog that I can't think of anything. Even simple stuff. I've got is constipation. Now I cannot consume beef. Feels frustrated.
What happens when you consume beef?
so sorry to hear, ive heard yoga can be good, maybe i should give it more of a go! Definitely relate to the brain fog as well xx
@@Jb-ky1riActually, this doesn't happen suddenly after I eat. After a week or so I would get bloated and have stomach cramps which get affected even my daily routine. I used to have IBS-D. But now it turns out to be severe IBS-C. I even lost weight and got anemic due to quitting protein intake. However, my daily yoga stretches makes me a bit of relief compared to earlier. But for nearly 2yrs I haven't consumed beef, and even other meat stuff. Sometimes then and there, I would consume fish, salmon.
@@sheyf7562 you need animal protein if ur anemic and try organic beef instead of cheap stuff as poisons in conventional beef might irritate ur gut. I hope this helps

I get stomach pain from wearing pants that feel a bit tight around a certain area if I sit down in them for too long... maybe it is a similar thing?
Yeah maybe, although i don't tend to wear anything too tight really, especially when at home xx
