After everthang that Negan has done and after all the shit Daryl's been through I think that Daryl and Negan share a love/hate relationship. Yes Daryl will always look at Negan as the assmunch, ruthless, no emotion, killer, who took everything/ virtually raped everyone through fear and the asshole that killed Aberham, Glenn many others causing all the shenanigans with the war there was no such thing as "Saviors" they wanted everything and wanted too be feared which Negan put people under his boot. I think Negan has learned his lesson and lets be honest We eventually came around and started liking Negan and if Negan had the leadership style of Rick he would have been the dude responsible for rebuilding civilization but didn't because Negan and Negan spent what 7 years in isolation where was his rehabilitation going too start and there wasn't a fair trial nor did Negan get a proper representative too represent him in court (there was no due process) just throw him in a cell and you call that punishment it's cruel and it fucks with you psychologically; Daryl should have tortured him with eazy street, fed him dog food sandwiches, help with agriculture and construction, and sent too a group therapy session where they would discuss past and current problems. But ya Negan is reformed he's rehabilitated I mean Alexandria has kept him alive despite everyone ruling too kill him. But Daryl and Negan can learn a lot from each other.
For majority of the series, its always been Rick and his right hand man Daryl. Now with Rick gone, I feel like Daryl got alot better as a character (as bad as that sounds). He is continuing on the legacy of his brother Rick. Back in S2 Carol would say to Daryl that he was a leader but she was the only one who saw it. Who knew like 8 seasons later that it would come true
Daryl Dixon has been my favorite since his first words on the show. I just felt that he was going to be important somehow. I'm so happy that after 10 years in this Walker Apocalyptic world, Daryl is still going strong. I absolutely love how Norman Reedus portrays him. This is a beautiful tribute to my favorite character. 2:41 Daryl throws the knife during the training in season 10 (to prepare a potential fight against the whisperers), 2:42 the knife hits a walker in front of Martinez during the meeting between Rick and the Governor from season 3 ! This synchronization between two very distant events in time, exhibits the genius of this tribute maker, I love that
