      For the record, you did not change the tires
      You changed the wheels.
      Changing the tires means removing the old tires from the wheels and installing the new tires back on the wheels.
      It's HARD to get these small tires off and on to these small wheels.

      If you have a car with a jack that jack will usually work. Just find a solid place to place it on the mower frame. (And the ground, too.) Chocking the diagonal tires is also more than reasonable. When your done with that one stop by. (Just a heads up, some don't have cotter pins - they might have snap clip if you have a different make/model.)

    Thank you for this easy and thorough video on how to change the entire wheel and tire on a riding mower. I also have a Troy Built riding mower and I'm new to using a riding mower. I also admit that I'm not the most mechanically inclined person. I think I can do this.

    This is a great video... concise, helpful, well-filmed, and easy to follow. You made my day. I'm not sure how my tire unravelled off of the rim, but it seems it's easier to just replace the rim and tire at once and be done with it.

    My son ran my rider down a steep hill. My front wheels are bent slightly outward. Do I need to replace the entire front end or just the wheel attachment points? Thanks for your help.

      It sounds like the front wheel spindles (axles) are bent. You would have to take the wheels off and see where it is bent.

      @@fixitFlip, yes it does. The only problem I ran into was the spacer part. I had to use figure b not for sure if I still needed the washers because with everything on it doesn't leave any room for the little clap. I think I will take the wheels off and try again tomorrow. Whats your thought washers with spacers or not? Still learning and trying to learn all the mechanisms talk! Lol. I have a Husqvarna 46in. Thanks for your feedback 💪🏾

      @@susansmith7071 If you can fit the spacers, add them in. If not, leave them out! It should include a little diagram in the instructions.

    What spot did you jack to on the front of the mower? Was it on the front deck hanger?

      I think right on a front part of the frame, but I couldn't get right in the middle. Had to go slightly off to each side for each wheel.

    Anyone know if ball bearings can be used instead of the plastic bushings? i've seen it done on many different mowers but not the troy bilt or mtd mowers? thanks for any info.

      I know there are front wheel "bushing to bearings" conversion kits sold for some mowers, but I haven't seen them for this mower either. They could be out there somewhere.

    Wow, I knew mine was bad but seeing your "bad" tire makes mine worse than I realized. Its been BALD for the last couple years, unless I count the "knobbies" from plugs I've put in it. Time to go change it out. Thanks for the video!

    I bought the same Arnold wheel but it has no instructions on how to grease it. It claims to have grease fittings but I don't see anything that looks like one. Any suggestions?

    I have new tires on the front, but they didn't come with those bushings. Both tires are really wobbly. Do you know if I can buy just the bushings for Type A? I see some on Amazon, but I don't know if they're the right size. Troy Bilt Pony 2016 13WM77SK011

      You can definitely just buy replacement bushings by themselves. Tires would be really wobbly without them.

      I need the bushings 741-04376 and 741-04370. I've scoured Google and can only find 741-04376. I can't find any compatible parts number. Any ideas? Otherwise, I'll have to just buy new tires.

    Changed the front tire on a Huskee LT4200 riding lawn mower. After starting and put into Forward gear, the mower would not move. Reverse worked fine. Any idea what went wrong? Mower worked Okay before changing tire. Thanks!

    Hi, is there by chance steel balling bearings I can order and used instead on the rubber bushings? I'm just thinking of durability wise, planning on changing front wheel soon. Left front wobbles(picked up mower recently second hand) thanks 😀

      Yes, you can definitely switch out the plastic bushings for real bearings. I do not have an exact part number for you or anything, though.

    Hi there I have a question can you figure out a way to stop the Tractor when you're left foot slips off the Clutch Pedal it's not a Brake I found the only way to stop the Tractor is to shut it off even when you go down hills

    I tried this wheel on my Troy built, but I can't get the cotter pin back in with the correct bushings ... probably gonna have to sand those suckers down a bit on the inside

      @@fixitFlip it's older than this one, but with the long inner bushing and the outer washer the hole is barely visible... With the shorter bushing and supplied spacer it fits, but would rub pretty bad on the inside...

      @@rugershooter5268 Yep, thats what I was going to say. I always go in a circle with the discharge chute aiming out. Left tire takes the brunt of the turn.

      May have to use a flat head screwdriver or some needle nose pliers. Could be stiff and dry rotted. If you have to rip it off you may need new ones.

    The video is useful but the problem is the wheels are cambered in at the bottom too much.i think the manufacturer of this mower included spindles that are not made correctly and puts excessive wear on the tires.i noticed your mower has the same problem as mine and to replace the wheel is just a temp fix of the real problem.

      Yeah, if that's the case you will just be replacing the wheels again at some point. Or replacing the spindles!

    No, how do you remove the tire from the rim and put a new tire on the rim. I think that's what everybody came here for from the title. At least that's what I came for. Anybody can take a bolt off and slide something on and put the bolt back on.

    I don't see why anyone would need to be shown how to do this. If you are so not mechanically inclined that you canot do this, bring it to the repair shop. Looks like somebody else is trying to start a fix it channel to me. I think it is a stupid video.
