The way I bed my betta fish and raised the spawn for the first time was After i bred them in a small 5 gallon tub i added as much java moss as posible and i added a old sponge filter sponge i mostly fed my fry egg yolk and occasionally brine shrimp the fry would eat all the tiny micro organisims off the sponge filter all day long so they were always well fed the java moss also added organisims and helped filter the water i added alot of stuff like duck weed almond leavs horn wort creek debris and more i had them in the 5 galloon tub until they were about a month and a half old when i transfered them to a 4ft tank to grow out fully thats when i got micro worms i fed microwrms, egg yolk, and crushed flake food i turned to a powder now they are about 60-70 days old one big thing i will tell a newbie is there a many more fry than you see i only saw about 30 if i counted but when i was moving them to the grow out tank i counted about 210 of them i was so happy i did so many things wrong i could of got over 300 fry if i new what i was doing my male was really healthy and a good breeder that helped alot( side not I saw alot of fry with PURPLE coloration can wait to see them fully grown)
Many of these issues can be solved easily by having dirt and live plants in your tank. Also when your fries are born, take a jar and put a few in (also with dirt and plants)... if your main Betta babies do not make it, the few you put aside may. Thats what i did. All the ones in the tank but one lived. The ones i had in a jar all got larger (about 5 of them).
I tried the egg yokes for feeding but it fouled my tank and took about a week of partial water changes to get rid of the sulfer smell. This was my first hatching. I had about 18 fry. Unfortunately, I had to leave town for 2 days and lost most. It appears I will be able to save 7. I'm really looking forward to seeing their colors
I have breed betta fish a few times. This year I am full into it. I had a problem with my last fry. I underestimate the numbers and underfeed them. When I realized they were very thin and hungry. I feed them with paramecium for start. So I increased the dosage but the fishes never realy recover. Worst the bacteria laod with the paramecium introduced a load of bacteria and the fish got like a rotten spot on the head and the tails. Not white spot but realy a kind of rotting. Lost most of them. Now I have bought a lab filter system with a vacuum pump 20 micron. From now on I will always filter and rince my paramecium, like artemia, before I feed my fry. Never use any of the paramecium water when I feed my fry. Thanks for your video.
good video ive been breeding betta, but none of my broods have survived, hopefully this will help, i think temperature is what killed them when i moved them to the grow out tank, they all died pretty much 6-8hrs after being moved, i think it was too low it was at 78F
I am no expert but my suggestion is to make a natural setup with dirt and live plants with no filter. You should be able to leave your babies in there with no change and still have a few live if the plant growth is pretty thick.
Thanks for this video I learned a lot. Is it weird if my betta already laid eggs they are just around 1.5 inches or less.. the frys also already hatched..
That's amazing I want to breed my Betta fish upgrading to the larger tank looks like a great idea . Where did you get your fish net and jars ? Were you dealing with more than 100 fry fish at one time ? If I want to get those specific feedings can you get them online?

Please help my betta fish did breeding and layed eggs but after 1 day the eggs layed down and my male betta didn't getting the eggs to the bubble nest and the nest is up to disappear
Pls read my comment I need help 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 When I placed one of my betta pairs for breeding, I initially thought the breeding was unsuccessful because the male and female were fighting, and the nest was completely destroyed. After separating them, I observed the female's tank the next day and saw that she had made a small bubble nest herself and laid eggs in it. I'm not sure what's happening since the male is supposed to tend to the eggs, but now the female has them.
If female make bubbles and place eggs, they don’t hatch. Because usually male will add their milt in eggs to hatch. Now, female made eggs, try to move the male in it and move the female, it’s an only option.
@aquadiaryofficial it happened twice, like even a few weeks ago when I placed them together for breeding, they started fighting, and then after separation, female laid eggs. I tried using the same. I placed the male into her tank, and the next day, the male ate all the eggs. I think those eggs are unfertilized they're white, so I don't think he will take care of those unfertilized eggs. May be u should try with different female since it's happening again and again.
I currently have Betta eggs in My *community* tank. I didn't notice For a while but they might Hatch today.. what do i do to keep them alove on The community tank?
How do you find space/container to keep all the male? And for female, can you keep them in the same container over a year? If they have eggs, can they still survive if you put them to breed?
I keep females only for few months and sell them. I keep couple of female sorority tank, but that's completely different topic and care to handle. In the case of males, i jar them and sell them once they are 4 months. honestly its very hard to keep many males. this video helps on when to jar your fry. ua-cam.com/video/ZDKqHDgH5tI/v-deo.html
Is he eating all eggs? As I mentioned in this video, males eat rotten eggs which is normal. There could be two issues. Your eggs are rotten due to water condition (OR) Your betta enjoy eating eggs(it’s rare though).
Keep egg yoke alone as feed is not good. It may pollute the water quickly. You can feed once a day with egg. Try other options. Below video helps. ua-cam.com/video/LTTAuemuLGY/v-deo.htmlsi=rPj6bLhv37rWQdo1

Yes, it’s based which country you are in. I buy from local manufacturers
What is the benefit of almond leaf? What is the difference between almond and banana leaf? And how they effect the betta?

What water do I use to hatch baby brime shrimp, saltwater and freshwater, and how do I put the baby brime shrimp in the tank with it being clean?
betta fry are cute
If you have only one baby betta, you can grow it out in a 10 gallon tank or larger

Put some aquarium salt into the container to defend the diseases
For live food like fairy shrimps, how long do they last before they dies out?
My culture stays for long time. But adding to tank can live upto few weeks.
