There are several ways to draft a raglan sleeve pattern. You’ll learn how to change the set-in sleeves to raglan sleeves. In this video, I show that sleeve cap height changes bicep width. If you have any blouse, t-shirt, dress, or jacket patterns you like, you can change the sleeve to raglan.

As per usual… the best pattern drafting lessons! I’ve always hated raglan sleeves because I found the drafting process annoying loll but this is so simplified… I’m going to draft some raglan sleeve styles now… thank you so much Professor Jin!

This is SO helpful. I am not sure how to ‘true’ the shoulder area. I know how to ‘true’ seams that join on regular seams, but not understanding how in this application?
True means you smooth the line, so you don’t have and corner or angled lines.
@@PatternStudio101 I just did this yesterday and it worked great! The only thing it needs is more cap height. The short sleeves tip up at the sides. Do you have a video on how to add height to a raglan? I do not need any more girth or sleeve width at all.
@@chrisboyd3626 I have a video on sleeve cap heights for raglan sleeve. But if you want to keep the bicep width. You cannot lengthen the sleeve cap height unless you drop the underarm point.

Hi, as I explained at the end of drafting, you can have a seam only on the shoulder or all the way down to the sleeve hem.
