Hello everyone. In this video, I will do experiments involving the most expensive liquids on Earth that are often at the forefront of cutting-edge scientific research. These liquids are typically rare, difficult to produce, or require extreme conditions for storage and handling. These liquids are used in clothing recycling and other industries.
Attention! This video shows dangerous experiments! Do not repeat the experiments shown in this video!

No offence to the narrator, but I prefer the original voice, with the accent. Maybe post both voices and double the number of videos for a while?
this would be awesome, even if it isnt in english and it needs auto translated captions!
He's sick and recording both voices takes a lot out of him, he said
It's a shame he doesn't at least say "Hello everyone" - it's always good to hear his voice. I do understand it's not his main Language and doing it in English is a lot of trouble. New videos are always interesting, please keep making them !
He probably doesn't have the time to do double dubs anymore
OMG! Please no!
It's not perfect but it's so much better now.
I like this guy real accent, its awesome
We want your natural voice back :)
Don’t bother. He ignores everyone.
agree!!
Yess
Nah, i actually understand something now...
@@bivolalbert 😂
We need your original voice back, even if it means waiting more between videos.
i want the thick eastern european accent.
We want the old voice back!!!
Why do you want to make his life more difficult?
I don't want his life to be more difficult, but I like his original voice. His English is good and he doesn't have to hide from his accent. He is doing good chemistry and information and his voice is unique. No need to take someone else's voice
Old voice. It's part of your channel.
the reason i fell in love with the chanel
The AI voice is easier to understand, & Is suspect the researcher in this video probably does not speak english.
Its now possible to post videos with multiple audios streams, for different languages. I suppose he soon can post videos with his own voice as well a sthe AI, and perhaps other languages.
@@guytech7310 I'm not trying to be rude, but you're not a true subscriber if you feel that way
He's tried to change his voice in the past but the true subscribers already edged him back off of this ledge once
@guytech7310 he can speak English fine. Maybe he's trying to save time by not voicing the video twice.
@icedcoffee8561 yeah that's not a bad idea lol.. I could understand that... but still, it's not the channel he started, he can have a second language one if he wanted, he was already afraid of his accent before this.
Just glad you’re back up and running after that horrible lab fire. I enjoy your content very much.
Did you make a donation to help Maxim get back on his feet?
@@jimurrata6785 sadly no, money is tight here.
i want the old voice back
Real voice please give the people what they came for
If you're not here for science, then you're here for the wrong reason.
@@roncoleman7504 And who are you to decide what reasons are right and what aren't?
We will persist in asking for your original voice until the apocalypse!💥
If you were a fan, you already have seen the video about why he can't use his own voice. It seems that a rather depressingly large number of people don't understand this.
@@roncoleman7504 I watched many of his videos but definitely not all, I couldn't find a video/source where he explicitly stated the reason behind this. I would appreciate it if you can give direction to where he stated his situation, I want to learn more about it.
@@DangerousLab I don't know much about the current situation, but he has a history of experimenting with using a narrator for his videos, always facing backlash and reverting to his original voice. Four years ago, he attributed the channel's poor performance to his accent and asked in a community post "Alright, I will go back to the original style of narration, but seriously, do you people watch my videos for the accent or for the science?". Nine months ago, he mentioned "Due to increased workload and chronic fatigue, I can't voice the videos in English. However, my team and I have found an excellent speaker to clearly explain the content.". I have a feeling he's been considering a permanent switch to a narrator for quite some time.
@@anatolydyatlov963 Ya, I saw that post just yesterday, I feel like the community posts don't get much attention by design, and that's why many people including me didn't know about this situation.
We miss hearing YOU. I almost thought I was on the wrong channel because the voice is wrong.
I like how all the comments are about the voice
and indeed! we want the old voice back,, it gave the videos an unique feel,,
Your content is AWESOME!!!!
Definitely agree. You original accent was why I came to the channel.
Please bring back your wonderful voice-overs !
Remember, just because you translate to English, doesn't translate to Farenheit. In science, you also only use celsius.
👇Use this as a petition to bring back the old voice
Man your channel is just not the same anymore.
I subbed for the content, and for you.
Now i have content with a voice overlay that means nothing.
It feels like i'm watching one of the endless thousands of channels that just have ai written scripts and a TTS reading it, while putting some b-roll in the background.
I know you do way more work than that, but im saying thats how it FEELS now.
Excellent comment. Like drinking distilled water, something is just missing that makes it complete. To me it feels like having the creator behind a screen so we don't have to see him/her because they don't look perfect.
I case you did not notice yet - we want the old voice!
Not quite sure, but I think viewers prefer the old voice he used....
😉🙃
ya' think?
I have no idea what gave you that impression.
@@MightyRude 🤣
You have such a unique voice that it gave your videos a huge amount of personality. It's honestly so memorable that I would think of it from time to time and smile. Maybe its more difficult for you to record your own voice in English but it adds so much that I think it is worth it
As a casual listener, I admit it is easier to follow the narration this way. On the other hand, the best way to get good at a language is to speak it! So you do whichever you think is best, but I'm subscribing either way.
Nah. I cant follow it anymore. His real voice made it easy. A few grammar slips didn't matter, part of the show to me, and I always learning so much from him (my grammar as a little joke here).
We want your voice back
People in comments are so cazy they didn't care about how quality content is he showing😅😅 they care about voice..........!!!!!
i REALLY LOVE the BLACK MESA Research Facility shirt!!!! GO GORDON!!!!
There are many new exciting areas of development in chemistry - I sometimes read journals like Green Chemistry and it seems there is lot of research in using organic polymers for hydrogen storage (e.g. paraformaldehyde from CO2 or utilization of syngas). Biomass valorization is also a thing - like producing valuable chemicals (e.g. glycolic acid, amino acids, aldehydes) from simple sugars or hydrolyzed polysaccharides. New green alternatives are being found to strong specialized oxidants like lead tetraacetate or periodic acid, that do similar thing but are less expensive to recycle/dispose and more accessible to basic labs (it's fun when you have well funded top-tier research lab but let's be real - who has such an opportunity...).
Distilling imidazolium salts is extremely hard. You can purify them easier using activated charcoal and alumina. If you would ever want to synthesize them, two best methods are microwaves or with flow chemistry(or even MW flow), reaction times reduced from hours/days to minutes
Old voice please 🙏 It is part of the soul of your channel
Is anyone going to pay attention to the video?
Your real accent is amazing and is worthy of binge watching. Please use that voice :). Your amazing
What if you made a second channel with your original voice because everyone keeps asking for it back, and those who like the new voice can stay here!
Where is my comrade?
5:56 maybe a stupid question, but do these liquid metal alloys transport electricity better or worse than their solid cousins ?
the price for high quality specialty chemicals in small quantities is not a good indicator of cost in industrial grade quantities
True. And if you make your own imidazolium salts the price gets around 200-500 eur per kg depending on the counter-ion and target purity
we need the og voice, its part of the channel
Your own voice made this channel much more enjoyable. Please change back.
Hey it is amazing to have you back
We want you ür original voice back!
We miss your original voice! It's such a key part of what makes this channel special. Please bring it back!
I am not gonna lie if you make videos in your old voice I will donate 1000$ (Promise 🙏)
Your videos are always very interesting, but they're so hard to watch without your voice.
The printer ink thing is wild.
The reason is that they deliberately sell the printer machines at a HUGE loss and try to recoop + profit off the ink.
it is the old Gillette Razor model. They used to even send out free razors in the mail and you would get replacement blades that cost a fortune
Please read, Thoisoi, a helpful freedback for you.
Most fans don't like the new voice but still watch the video. Add subtitles to your other channel(Thoisoi without 2), not automatically created by youtube instead if switching back!
Some people might hear the accent and not watch the video because of that(or not like the video/subscribe because of that) and it's easier for you. We get to see more videos because of that and it's better for everyone.
I also like your old voice more but another voice is fine.
Still though, change the voice to not sound like a generic "top 10 fun science gadgets" video instead of a high quality one. This is definitely a turn off for many viewers. Pick 10 voice actors and let the viewers choose. Or I can help you choose, it would be a shame if the only good Estonian chemistry channel dies because of that.
What's that the (PV15003 PILODIST) evaporator unit with the pink coolant in it called?
So glad to hear everyone say the same thing, love the natural voice! Hope everything's ok and this is just trying something new out.
@13:50 -- oh so that's where my school got its toilet paper from!
Your channel rocks!! love the content. 😺
My brother in science! Great video, thank you for sharing the knowledge!
A long time ago, in a land far, far away, Us fans read his posts and know WHY he is not using his real voice. Yes we all love his voice, yes we all love his accent and prefer it, however, Life happens and I am just grateful that I still get to see his content regardless of how it is presented! Please stop making the comments about bringing his voice back ( again, if interested, please read his posts ) and instead be grateful, helpful, encouraging and bring something to the conversation on the content of this video. Thank you so much!
Oh god, I have not seen your videos for a while, but you really got buffed 💪 you are huge
I really enjoy your content. I learn so much from your channel.
I remember when he first started this channel and he was self-conscious of his voice and I just said at least I can understand you unlike most of the Indian chemists....
I can understand it that's what counts, your English is fine dude. There might be a few nitpickers out there but you're good.
incredible awesome work! thanks :)
very interesting ! 😀
Great video, But I don't see this method being commerically useable do to the extensive processing of the solvent. Probably the better use for old clothing would be for insulation, stuffing for seating furniture, or package padding (ie replacing packing peanuts).
Please bring back the old voice, I really like it and it made your channel unique!
If some people complained about not being able to understand you before you could add subtitles instead of hiring a narrator.
Good stuff. I was curious about ionic liquids.
Another interesting application of ionic liquid is electroplating of titanium onto steel. Titanium is too reactive to perform electroplating using water as the electrolyte, since titanium is oxidized by the oxygen in the water. Ti has been successfully plated onto steel using ionic liquids.
Bro, I loved your original accent. Please, bring it back!
I've never heard his voice and never watched his videos before so it'd be interesting what his actual voice sounds like.
It seems like a lot of the comments want the voice back
He has a strong east European accent, maybe Russian. But his speech is music.
Try searching his channel for old videos.
Amazing chemistry ❤ and I like your new voice 😊
Hi, Any chemical or liquid combination can create a bright white light that can continues to glow for upto 1 month or more. Is it possible to make it ?
I binged all your old content for this?
hey mercury damaged gold ornament lost some gold after treatment , what's the way can be added some gold on it to gain its previous weight at home , without chemistry tools as well as electricity?
Yes bring back your original voice.
I never thought I would unsubscribe but that's it for me it's just like you're a different Channel
Absolutely true, HP charge $10 dollars in the US plus the number of pages you print, and now they are so greedy that they even get to know what do you print, copy, fax and scan, because their printers are hooked on theirs servers. So they not only sale ink, they collect data.
Marnowanie zasobów i energii. Nowoczesna spalarnia jest znacznie lepszym wyjściem.
Also a terrible waste of resources. There isn't an endless supply of the materials used to make the fabrics, and the waste gasses have to go somewhere.
As oils are excellent dielectrics, the best long-term oils used in transformers are mineral oils.
miss your real voice
Your normal voice was more than fine but we appreciate the transactions 👍
Low voltage is to potential diff of the liquid, need more layers to get higher voltage.
Most supercaps are just 5V
Great to see you back. 👍 From reading the comments all i'll say is this. If you're not going to do it, then you should at least find an AI bot with a similar accent. I understand why you picked an American accent but it's kinda goofy to be honest. If I may suggest one, maybe try one with an accent. One you find sufficiently understandable of course.(even though your accent fits the bill)
Wow, never heard DMSO called dimexide, but it's a simple contraction - just not used as much here...
New type of electrolytic capacitor.... interesting.
Hmm, the idea of supercapacitor are more interesting, we are on the hunt for more interesting polymers or liquid electrolyte... However it's the future of energy storage device. Look forward to see what nature has in store for us.
That clear crucible is really nice.
Okay, I don't believe we will get your original voice back. Wish you best of luck.
I still think that burning old clothes are the best option. With filters that can separate toxic gases.
Teach us how to manufacture those ionic liquids so we can sell tiny bottles for 2000€ 😂
Next vote for the "original, old narration". I used to hear the "old" videos to relax and calm down, this is no longer possible with the new, "more aggressive" voice (no offence). Please bring the old voice over back!
Love your videos.
Ahh the old film wipe distillation.
I miss the original voice. Haven't been watching the videos. I've just been commenting. Not watching until the voice is back
Sorry, "choline chloride" + "cobalt chloride" is a quaternary ammonium salt + a metal chloride; it is a deep eutectic solvent, NOT an ionic liquid.
One of the best things about your videos was your voice and accent. These new videos sound too generic :(
Is that really molten sodium chloride, would it not be glowing at that temperature?
July 2024 still cannot watch because still waiting for the return of their original voice 😔
Burn the old cloths in power plants. Not sure why they don’t do that with trash, used oils, or other things that burns well but is hard to get rid of.
🙏 One request. Please use SI unit like Celsius, kilograms and meters while making videos about scientific topic.
Love the t-shirt!
sorry to bother but is not clear what you said about solvent added to fabric solution : dimexite?
Juulius the Tallinn mascot at 6:10
Also, piranha solution seems a better way to go than this. Capture the CO2 if you must.
there are two types of people. ones who prefer old voice and ones who are objectively wrong.
As many have said, and no offense intended to the gentleman who is doing the dubing, I miss hearing your own voice. It brought a bit more authenticity to the channel.
Mate, your accent is what makes your channel non-generic, honestly.
idk man, i would def just go for crashing out the copper carbonate with sodium carbonate
Cu[NH3]4 --> CuSO4 + NH4 2 SO4
CuSO4 + Na2CO3 = CuCO3 + Na2SO4
then concentrate that down, ppt out the sodium sulfate, react ammonium sulfate with more sodium carbonate, distill off ammonia and use for the copper carbonate once again
now your only real waste is sulfuric acid and you produce sodium sulfate- which could potentially be turned into sulfuric acid by electrolysis
Welcome back.
Old voice back please! It was so iconic:(
Nifty AF ! 1M is LONG overdue.
bring your voice back! We love your voice!
