I started listening to cryo Chamber 10 years ago they are my go-to for dark ambient. I also discovered ulf söderberg from a channel called johnny13black of all places.
Listening to this and other tracks puts me in mind of a place deep in the past when things were in a primal, unfettered state. Occasionally, I experience frisson listening to these as though a memory long buried is coming to the surface. It's not completely there but more the mere ghost of a memory. It's almost like being on the cusp of some forgotten truth but never quite breaching the conscious mind.
I'm still fairly new to Dark Ambient, only got into it this year! However, each time I listen to a new album, I'm drawn deeper into the wondrous land of sounds. This shit just keeps getting better and better. I can't believe how comforting it is. If that sounds weird, you're on the wrong channel. You're not one of us. Haha Not to mention the artwork. That elk looks amazing. Now we know how Santa can deliver all the presents in one night. He shows his reindeer this picture, and they take off like a rocket, from fear! Glad you like it! If you're ever in the mood for something a little lighter but still on the dark spectrum, I'd recommend some William Basinski. Specifically Melancholia. And the first dark ambient song I heard and really liked was "Flowered Knife Shadows" by Harold Budd. Different than what I do but still worth a listen. Very influential.

Reminds me of Moder, the Jötunn in The Ritual (2017). Or the forest god from Mononoke Hime. Or Shai-Hulud, the sandworms of Dune. Or Area X from the Southern Reach Trilogy. And so on. Or my own gone dream of this ring path in our Black Forest where I grew up, in which I am pursued by a giant yet non-malevolent boar, and there is no way off the path.

I once spent several hours in the Field of Tall Grasses, near the Tree of Life, mind opened with psilocybin, observing the language of the grass as it swayed gently in the Summer breeze, the interplay of light and shadows, the susurrations, and replies of the Tree, wind in its leaves. At that moment, every pattern in the world was discernable

As once in my life, on the summer of past year I went out for a walk and didin't came back to my home. I made like 25 kilometers on foot and stayed in the forest where I was living for seven days. That time was full of miracles, for me - they were completely real. Some of them are hard to expelain, but I saw them with my own eyes. I was living them in moments when they were happening. I must admit that I suffer from schizofrenia, yet many, Many things that I witnessed - those things have found their answers. It was allready evening when I picked up that leaf from the ground of wet Sand. All those Little veins, dots, and shades of green they formed a pattern. A chemical/mystical pattern for all the leaves and this one in particullar. Truly, this time, those 7 days was like one unreallistic dream, But making the fire, or working in close to woods field with raspberries was as True as those mystical things that happend often in that time. Thank you for your comment that bring me back to that time. Nature says much more than we usually see, or maybe more than we Want to see. Hope you will visit your beautiful place once again!
