Wish Trinidad would get rid of all those large roadside billboards. They detract from what ever beauty they may be blocking.
@@frankbest9453 and ugly overhead utility cables! Plus ugly makeshift highways stalls. Tents are ok. U can take them down every day.
People add to the shantytown look in some areas. Because of their lack of awareness about aesthetics . I wish they would take more pride in their properties.

Poverty is not an excuse for crime or crime hotspots. If so my whole family and some of my friends and schoolmates would have all been criminals.
@@StephanieJoseph-t6m lack of ambition! They don’t have that drive to work. So they blame everything and anything. Instead of taking responsibility for their actions..There are poor people all over the world. Doing what they can do to survive!

The Americans built the Churchill Roosevelt highway to connect the naval base in Chagaramas to wallerfield. The Americans had an air base in Wallerfield. Columns still stand at the entrance to the air base. Churchill 'gave' Roosevelt land for the bases. Hence the name. Entire villages were displaced by those land deals. And others developed.😅
Would love to see Ariapita Ave. yes. Lots of crazy driving. But most drivers. Are courteous!

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. You will definitely see some of those areas very soon. Wow, that's definitely a long time to not have been in Trinidad. A lot of development has taken place in that 20 year time frame.
Trinidad has a lot of new developments, you will get lost. You need a driver to take you around.

love your videos, but the reason you find the driving in Trinidad scary is because you are sitting yourself in the center of the three lanes, forcing vehicles to overtake you on the left as well as the right. if you are taking a gentle cruise you should be sitting in the left lane, then all the vehicles will pass you on just one side, the right. then you will feel more comfortable and make it safer for other road users that want to travel faster than you. the truck was a prime example. Keep up the good work guys. Drive to the left on a multiple lane road, unless you are overtaking.

@@matthewtrin yes, i agree. visited there once for a couple of days, was shocked at some of the speeds being driven. but lane discipline can be vital for your safety.

I enjoyed it, have not been to Trinidad in a while but recognise around Port of Spain. That KFC to me has the best chicken, coleslaw, I scarcely buy KFC in Barbados because its not like it used to be.

Thank you for this coverage of Trinidad. I have family and friends there - it is the seccond island on my list for the region. Barbados is first as my Mum and Dad were both born in Long Bay, St Philips.
