They can add tractor beams to dragon flys and create a cool load/unload loop for the large ships at port. Imagine 10-20 dragon flys zooming around a port unloading a massive ship getting paid per scu. Could be an interesting loop for sc. Dragon flys would do better moving cargo in space ship to ship and could be the go-to equipment for moving cargo. Imagine players sitting around at a port waiting for an argo full of commodities to dock and accept a contract to start unloading or vice versa. Multiple loaders on contract at a time first come first serve as far as moving the scu's for payment.

I love this, and I think it will be a very welcome QoL improvement. That being said, I swear I don't get CIG sometimes. We have so much issues in the PU that keep building new features, vehicles and scaling the game feels out of place without those issues addressed. I have a Hull C since before white box, they released the Hull C with 3.20 and it is 3.24.1 and it is STILL not working properly. It would work from time to time, between docking and cargo loading issues, you have more of a chance to lose your aUEC one way or another. We have cargo kinda working now, but there's no good way of loading or unloading some ships. Let's say I want to save a bunch of construction materials in my freight elevator, it is complicated AF to unload cargo containers from the Reclaimer. And what if I want to load up the Carrack with cargo? That thing is near to impossible to load. Cool mech - Though the game makes me feel I am losing my time playing it more often that I can stand by it for, and I love this game.
FWIW, you're not the only one who isn't really anticipating the Titan suits. I'm really not here for mechs. I came for the spaceships. To each their own, and all. 🙂
As a solo player doing hauling missions or some cargo would I really use this long term? It does look like a great addition and CIG needed to do something to perk up backers a bit so makes sense to release it now.
Yeah, that thing really is for larger containers and medium and up ships, and I think it'S great ! For the Reclaimer, the ship needs such a large rework that I'm pretty sure it'll end up fitting just nice in those elevator doors lol. But one thing I really wish they did is put some sort of hitch on the RAFT to hook it up. The ATLS seems made for the RAFT, it would just make sense imo.
Looks like a must have just for some Nostromo vibes if nothing else. Does the left arm do anything though? Would be cool if left arm could hold a second cargo crate (but not move it until the right arm has placed its box. Would give it a really strong use case then to make it totally different to the other tractor beam systems.
The large hangar has a door in one of the corners for what seems to be a garage of sorts. The Nursa fits the space and vehicles could spawn there.
