This is making me want to go to Australia even more than I've wanted to go. Sydney seems to be the best place to visit. Great video, watching from the United States of America, in the state of New Jersey.
Greatl videos! Love to see more NSW cab views. I've travelled on most of the European and American trains via You Tube but need to see more Aussie Ones!
AMEN on the relaxing during the lockdown. I will share this with my young raily friend in India he will enjoy it too. Good work and thanks for the stopping Station names.
This is great! Very few of these sort of videos from Australia that I've seen - if there are going to be more, perhaps consider identifying the stations passed through for non-locals? Great stuff.
I would make one suggestion, and I consider it an important one. That is, you should identify the stations you pass through as well as those at which you stop. From Parramatta to Blacktown there were 4 unidentified stations, and from Blacktown to Penrith, a further 6 unidentified stations and we're only a bit under 21 minutes gone in this video.
it is a pity the first half hour is lost in the mist. it would have been interesting to have seen the development alongside the trainline between Parramatta and Penrith.
A refreshingly boring but beautiful journey at the same time. Boring because you see the tracks, but beautiful mostly because it brought back memories of my first train journey to Katoomba as a 7 yr old in the 50's. I now live in SA, just north of Adelaide, so miss all the Sydney trains. Thanks to Transport for NSW. Great driver's eye view though, especially going from fog in the lowlands to sun in the mountains. Well done. Home you made a return journey version....lol. Was going to go back to Sydney, this year, 2021, but for bloody idiots starting the covid crap again.
Great Video! You really should put some captions for example station and suburb that we are passing. You could even caption the surrounding for example: - Parramatta Square (To your right) (0:00) - Westfields Parramatta (To your left) (0:00) - Future site of Parramatta pools (To your left) (1:15) - Parramatta Park (To your right) (1:50) (Location of the hot air balloons for Australia Day) - Westmead Station (2:10) (Future Connection of Parramatta light Rail & Health District) So on,
30.00 to 31.00 1976 Glenbrook accident had a fatality in the rear car of a westbound double deck interurban electric train when a westbound freight led by electric locomotive 4623 collided with the rear of the passenger train. The rear car of the passenger train was DCF.8004. It was rolled down an embankment and cut up on site, with the pieces being lifted by RAAF Chinook helicopter back to Elcar, Chullora. DCF.8004 became the first condemnation of a double deck interurban electric car.
I'm good with the video just like this. The 4k is way too much for my phone and makes everything look glitchy. Even if this were to he uploaded in 4k 60 fps, I'd still be watching this in 1080p 60 fps.
It was the Bold Street overhead ROAD bridge.....loco hit the support stanchions ....nothing to do with this vid.........which is great thanks Tpt for NSW.

Perfect I need this parramatta to Katoomba relaxing during lockdown
Lol same
I love the hissing sound just before when the V set accelerates
Thank you for putting this up so we can take a ride on the train and ignore the chaos outside while in lockdown.
Greatl videos! Love to see more NSW cab views. I've travelled on most of the European and American trains via You Tube but need to see more Aussie Ones!

great video, missing my traintrips to katoomba, thanks for the video
Great idea for lockdown, Well done! A recommendation, a subtle progress bar at the bottom of the screen with the station names would be good
This is great! Very few of these sort of videos from Australia that I've seen - if there are going to be more, perhaps consider identifying the stations passed through for non-locals? Great stuff.
Great Video, keep them coming.
Wow that fog rolled in quickly. Amazing video!

I love that this is the most viewed video on the channel in a while. Shows what the people want to see haha
More to come!
Wonderful footage, thank you!
Please do more of this!! Can you do a hurstville to kiama vie one day? I rly miss travelling on that line every week
Yep! Certainly in the works.
Would love to see some of *Sydney Trains Cab Video's* content on here! Love the work!
Nice chopper sound, Lithgow next time please!
A ride on board a V set! V sets are my favorite!
They’re not my favourite but they’re one of my favourites :)
They re very comfortable - a pity that it looks as if their replacements will not be in the same class.
sucks to be you then!
...
:c
Used to commute from ktown to Penrith and back everyday for about 3 years. I actually miss it
Hoping that if I get a trainee driver role, this would be the office!
Beautiful journey
This is my daily commute. Although I get off at Springwood.
Play this while listening to The Chemical Brothers’ Star Guitar, quite an ethereal experience.
Can you film somewhere really long? Like Parramatta to Dubbo. Or Sydney Terminal to Brisbane (Roma Street). Or somewhere really long please?
Doable!
Crazy to think those sandstone cuttings were done in the 1860's, and still in use today :)
it is a pity the first half hour is lost in the mist. it would have been interesting to have seen the development alongside the trainline between Parramatta and Penrith.
Can you do one of a 42 class GM on a climb somewhere so we can hear that beautiful sound of a 567C V16 EMD working hard.
I did this trip in 2017 on year 10 camp ♥️ we started at central though
Its more exciting than watching wallpaper peel.

Really enjoy these videos, keep it up! Would of liked to have seen it go to Lithgow, but still great non the less.
Next time!
@@TransportForNSW I would never think that you guys would actually reply!
We desperately need this in 4K please.
i’m assuming the cliffs of the south coast is next or the rolling hills of the souther highlands?
The west
Looks like a special lens is used to give a 3 D effect.
Great Video!

👍👍🏻🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃👌🏻🚞🚉 love the sound of the VVVF of the K Set
24:00 "Let me tell you of an interview, with a *Plain* old *Emu!* LOL (with apologies to John Williamson).
Can you add titles showing the names of the stations we're passing through?
Should of had cameras recording on the sides for some of the views for example: when passing Wentworth falls lake
What chance of a trip down to the ‘gong?
Do you guys let kids onto V sets like in the cab??
Nope - unless it's for a special occasion.
@@TransportForNSW Oh okay because my son really wants to go in one of the v set cabs.
Is that a V set? It looks like one!
There should be an a Return Trip From Katoomba to Central
It's in the works!
@@TransportForNSW Thanks for Telling me I hope Sydney Is Okay from this Outbreak

Don’t forget to ‘tap on’ the like and subscribe button folks 😂
Let me guess. You have a GoPro 2.
can you upload a real-time journey for central to Perth pls
We could only take you as far West as Lithgow.
howcome it is narrow gauge in QLD?
maybe put the bridge names in, like Bolt street,
Nice vid.
Ionesco Whistle of the chopper controlled v set
haha a saw my house.
I think it’s better to see the cab and operation.
Sounds like a V set.
Is this a c set? No wait it’s scrapped. Is it a vc set? No they got retired. What train is this????
This could have been amazing if this was in 4k 60fps, or was 1080p 120fps or similar. Instead we decided to film like its 2010 :(
I'm good with the video just like this. The 4k is way too much for my phone and makes everything look glitchy. Even if this were to he uploaded in 4k 60 fps, I'd still be watching this in 1080p 60 fps.
26.20 where does that train come from i see it everyday in the mornings
Bathurst to central
Train people the ones making this interesting in the commenta
Anyone old enough to remember when the overhead platform at Granville collapsed?
It was the Bold Street overhead ROAD bridge.....loco hit the support stanchions
....nothing to do with this vid.........which is great thanks Tpt for NSW.
Why does this exist and who got a promotion for posting it
Want to do a train marathon and watch a trip from central to casino or all the way to roma st
That would be cool!
I don't get why Melbourne or Queensland rail do these videos
