- In a studio on New York's 42nd Street, the cast of the new musical adapted from Tolstoy's "War and Peace" rehearses for opening night. Twenty-four members of this production will be making their Broadway debuts, including the leading man, Josh Groban. "I'm coming from another world," the 35-year-old singer told Anthony Mason, "and I wanted to make sure that it was known, right off the bat, that I was coming to this world with the maximum amount of respect for it."

I think that when Josh sings he sings from his heart. Listening to his music it allows me to go to a place where I can use my imagination and free it to be anything it wants to be. So thank you Mr. Josh Groban for the love of music and this Grobanite.

God, The Great Comet deserves so many rewards and things just for how creative it is. The music is fantastic, the cast is remarkable, AND THE STAGE! In a way, its shaped like a reverse theater, but the audience being intimate with cast members? Its the best idea ever! I have so much praise for this musical for how unique it is. I wish it didnt have to die..
Director Rachel Chavkin has transformed the Imperial Theater... into Imperial Russia.

He won me over - my husband & I were very skeptical (mostly because of the style of song he is famous for - just not a fan). He was so good in this role - we were both blown away by everything about the show & particularly enjoyed his performance!
I feel the same way (Especially because I grew up with my dad loving and always playing his music.) But he's absolutely impressive here. He's got a new fan here.
do yourself a favor & check out the UA-cam channel called "Bored Shorts" - they have a "Kid Snippets" episode with Josh Groban ordering a pizza. you will get a glimpse of his comic side & you'll never look at pizza delivery the same way again. LOL

i'm so sad the great comet closed. i just got into the soundtrack and i'm heartbroken i will never be able to see it. all of the clips of the show in this video just look so phenomenal
"Fans were there for me from Day 1." Been a huge fan since I first heard him at the closing ceremonies of the Olympics on TV in 2002. Have gone to several of his concerts and gotten every album. What a voice! Will continue supporting him in a few months watching him in this. #favoritesinger :) Great interview here!!

You should see him! I've been to many of his concerts and they are always incredible, way better than seeing him on the DVDs. I've been lucky enough to meet and talk to him in-person three times and he is always so kind and humble.
I heard that you can stop by the Theater where the Great Comet broadway is to meet him almost every day, he will sign autographs and take photos with you. :)

I was lucky enough to see this show on its 3rd day of previews, and it was amazing. The cast, the stage, the music everything was awesome. If you ever have the opportunity to see this show I highly recommend it.

Great report on an amazing singer/artist and apparently lovely person.
I was there for opening night of previews. I still haven't recovered. It's BRILLIANT! The exuberance is jaw dropping. GROBIN us so understated, so un Grobin, superb. The concept, lighting, tech, staging is second to none.
