I have to say I have ridden many brands on boards Boosted Board included. If anyone wants a board and not able to buy a Boosted Board. I would recommend a Genesis Board. Same top speed and I have gotten from 8 to 20 miles of range. It depends on your weight and terrain you ride in as well as the avg speed you go. Just as a car if you drive hard and fast well your MPG will be decreased. The same with all batteries. So no matter what board you may be able to get. Be safe and enjoy the ride....... Thanks Sara for your videos...... Perhaps the next time I am in NY our board rides will cross paths. Not as to in a wreck. LOL

Sara just out of curiosity, but you do know Evolve Skate Boards can go 20miles +
I mentioned this on John's channel also, and I am not sure if Boosted sponsors UA-camrs, butttt no one ever brings up Evolve.
That skateboard takes me 3 miles to the beach, then 8 miles up and down the coast. Then I skate back to my house.
Evolve Skateboards are better then Boosted in regard of stats, but are never shown on any "big" UA-cam channel.

+1 for Evolve. I ride a GT Bamboo in Australia and the battery life is great.
Throwing my opinion out here I think boosted is more well known because of how it looks compared to a evolve board with it looking more like a regular longboard and not super high tech
MPTRCrazyxx have you seen the carbon fiber models? Even the bamboo has a decal grip tape. . . If anything evolve boards look better.
You can also buy different wheels, and off road wheels for evolve boards.
Will Parker I may have not explained it in the best way but I personally chose the boosted board because of its simplicity and its simplicity of looking like a normal longboard unlike evolve with their design based off the last time I have looked at their boards
Simple, Evolve is just not marketing their boards as aggressively as Boosted. That's it really. Not the big youtubers' fault.
For the best hub motor electric skateboard for both fun, range, and speed is the Raptor 2 that can easily pass the boosted board in my opinion.

I remember riding an evolve board before buying the boosted. the range is THE BESTTTT. BUT the remote is terrible, it has no style and has no reverse. so I'm happy with the boosted board. But the range is terrible - and waiting so long for the extended JUST for a little bit extra range is rediculous. though I wouldn't switch

I spent $1,500 building my e-bike, goes 30-40 miles on a charge, and I can carry lots of stuff, too! Only downside is I have to lock it up outside somewhere, unless at work or home I can roll it inside.

hub motors provide great stopping and torque from a stop not sure where or what you rode to come up with that-that being said I would love to try a boasted board-riding a hub motor is very quiet and serene-kinda like riding a reg skateboard-not into the belt noise-wish they could lessen that and I'm not into switching belts-or belt guards-love the vid

Those aren't bumpers, Sara. They're the grip you use so you can twist the battery connector.

i raced sport bikes for years, just fyi... its always the responsibility of the passer to make the pass safely. i know street rules are different but once you practice that, you wont find yourself getting plowed by others. :)

Can someone please explain to me what's so great about these compared to a bike? For the price, you can get an amazing bike that has unlimited power, doesn't consume electricty, and goes as far as your legs take you. Dont see how it's any safer either...

Cobalt aluminum dioxid x x x batteries don’t blow up, they vent. Please don’t talk about safe chemistry cells blowing up... it isn’t possible. As long as the battery enclosure has vents, safe chemistry batteries will not produce enough pressure to explode or catch fire. They simply deform plastic enclosures as they vent, if for some reason all other failsafes on the control board somehow allow the cells to short.
Lithium polymer is what blows up, lipo cells require more safety controls on the digital controllers to avoid this danger. Lipo cells can also push more amps but are not safe... but used for remotely operated machines like RC.

i have had swapable battery eboard for long time... backpack easily fit 30 miles range each battery 10 mile range and weight just 3lbs .. and my board cost less even with 3 spare batteries haha
those things are bumpers? i thought they were just tools to loosen battery connection
they aren't bumpers, it's a tool for the battery connector.

eVOLVE Skateboards in AUSTRALIA have 4 models all of which have a minimum of 21 mile range. The boards cost between $999 and $1999 AUD, dual motors, 3000 watts, etc,... Friend of mine bought one, he towed me on my skateboard, we were going 42kph on a road. Incredible. Poops on Boosted! :P

Boosted is a good and reliable board, but extremely overpriced. Evolve, Enertion, metroboards are much better but dont carry the same status.. lol

kicking on a skateboard takes a fuk ton of energy biking is more efficient and better for all audiences.
I really wish all these youtubers that are so obsessed with boosted would just check out evolve. The range is so much better (20 miles) and the boards are way more versatile beings that they can interchange many different street wheels and all-terain tires and are all around better than boosted in style, variety, and performance.
Get Evolve to sponsor them then.

Hi beautiful...its so nice to see how happy you are when you are talking about your boosted boards. I like the boosted board too, but just for being the pioneer of electric skatedboard builders. Honestly I have to say that there are much better eboards on the market for NYC road conditions, specially the waterproof ones, right now, but thats just my opinion. I know how it feels loving a product so much, in this case a motorized longboard, and you transfer this great feeling through your videos. I walk my dog every day and I have seen one electric skateboarder twice in two weeks. How many different people do you see writing an electric skateboard in two weeks? I assume more than just you and Casey.
I think the laws in New York are different from California, and I asked the one I met if the police had ever hassled him, and he said just once, and the laws recently changed in California.

I’ve owned both belt and hub drive decks and the belts do have a SLIGHT better acceleration than hub decks but the hub decks coast WAYYY better that belt decks when it reaches top speed. Plus the ground clearance is way better on hub deck than belt decks with their motors and belt housing hanging under the deck. PLUS you can kick push a hub deck easier if you run out of power on the street.
Also gopros on helmets are really useful. I've recorded one almost crash (partly my fault) and one head on actual crash (defo not my fault). But if you want a less conspicuous gopro on a helmet setup consider getting a session specifically for "helmet dashcam" purposes.
I literally had an email exchange earlier today with the CS director of Boosted and was told that I'm not going to see my ER lithium pack for my Dual+ until Jan 2018 :(
