- I put 120mm wheels on my Boosted V2 and it increased the top speed from 22mph to 29 mph. You sacrifice torque and range, but you get a crazy top speed. Also, having bigger wheels means a smoother, more comfortable ride.

hey im not sure if your aware but if you dont want speed you can but a diffrent pulleyy for foamies that lets them have increased torque
well, I do think that maybe you can take an evolve gtx, I don't like this brand but they have more power and also a lot of wheels options

Just FYI on my Stealth using the spacers I was able to to re-install my belt covers and they do NOT rub.

I wonder if you sized up the rear pulley in relation to the wheel size if you could get the big wheel benefits without the drawbacks.
Making the wheel diameter bigger is effectively gearing it up. If you were to increase the pulley size to get the Motor RPM to Wheel RPM ratio back to normal you should be able to have the epic torque and braking efficiency of the small wheels as well as the better rolling characteristics of the large ones.
Make some modifications and upload the STL to thingiverse, I'll be the first to download it and print it :D

Then you dont get the speed. How much do you weigh? This guy looks way heavier than me so id make the conversion. If youre heavy then no because you need the torque. Im oribably 50 pounds lighter than this guy.
@@zachmoir im gonna try and make these. The only problem is that it will bring the pulley size from the stock size of 56 teeth to a massive size of 84 teeth. Most likely gonna need to buy bigger, non tradtional size belts.

How do boosted’s electronics correct the speedo reading for the larger diameter wheels? 29mph is most likely a false reading.

Typically ride sidewalks where I live, the cracks would hurt the ankles, have broken or sprained them 7 times total...so went to the OneWheel, but these larger tires would be better, would they fit on a V1
About the battery swap. More weight usually carries more speed
I have a mini x that runs 28mph on 90mm ollin popocas. I wonder if these foamies can do any better, what do you think?

Your going to need a Booster Box range extender so your range does not suck du to the higher draw on the battery from pushing those big wheels

Vanguard style decks or any board with moderate flex will experience torsional flex and speed wobbles at 25+ mph.
Do you recommend the Slick Revolution Rough or Foamie wheels for cobblestone streets & truncated sidewalks?

They do. They are significantly larger than stock and it looks like a beast on the Boosted Board. I installed mine this week and the ride is much smoother for sure.

how much range is lost? estimated
You probably lose SO much range if you keep the standard range battery though. With the extended range battery, you range becomes basically what a stock standard range board has. Definitely try going off-roading with these wheels some time. It's a TON of fun to do ride dirt/gravel trails on a Boosted board of all things.
i like having the standard range battery on there for super quick trips! ive got boas on my stealth and another v2 (XR batteries on both) for the longer trips

Hey, does anyone knows about LED wheels for boosted board?
The BELT BASH GUARDS do fit. You need to install it before installing the wheel. First, install the wheels without belt guard and set the belt to the right tension. Once complete, remove the wheels and install the guard. You should be able to remove the wheels without having to readjust tension. Just hold the pulley to keep it in place during the wheel removal process. If the pulley comes out, you should be able to put it back in as the pulley is able to tilt within the trucks. I would advise to use 4 large spacers in between the trucks and the large bearings on the pulley and then install a small thin spacer in between the trucks and the stock rear spacers on the board to ensure that the wheels do not rub against the belt guard. You should end up with approximately 0.050" in clearance between the BELT GUARD and the WHEELS.

Bring this beauty to European cities, like Prague for example. It's all cubble stone. I bet those wheels might help with not loosing all teeth fillings, but once you fall with that speed...forget being left with any teeth.

Wowgo 3x. If you have more money get Miles Rampage or Miles Panther with 6" All terrain wheels so smooth.

Plastic that acts as the bearing? Do they not have the larger sized bearings like the regular pulleys do? That board sits way to high for my liking. Nice video Sam 'Speed Junky' Sheffer :)
The pulley does not act as a bearing. He just mistated in the video. The inner bearing needs to be removed and the pulley fits inside the wheel and acts as a spacer. The pulley and wheel turns together and you only need two bearings. One small on outside of wheel and one within the pulley. Both wheels and pulley kit comes with ABEC 7s bearings pre-installed. Once installed, you will end up with 2 extra bearing spacers and 2 extra bearings.

Nice wheels!It's too bad Boosted got rid of the loaded decks.Big mistake.I don't think too many people like that composite deck on the new boards.Nothing beats the bamboo😔.I know two people who got the stealth and they both returned it.They still prefer the v2 over anything.

Better than a Boosted? Yes, but not a great board. Too many issues.
Without the belt covers one small rock gets between the belt and the gears, the wheel locks and you go flying. Good luck.
No belt covers on LaCroix. Never had an issue w/ either boards.
LJ Powell LaCroix motors are behind and above the wheels. Boosted motors are not. Therefore you’re a lot more likely to have rode debris get in them.
