So the switchback function only works if you have a dual filament incandescent bulb. That means you have a bulb that has 2 different brightnesses. One is your “bright” mode used for turn signal. The other is “dim” used for parking light. Switchback led bulbs use white for that dim parking light, and they only turn on when you have your parking light or headlights on. A lot of people buy switchback bulbs and they think if they just install them they automatically get a daytime running light, not true. They just change the look of your parking lights. Your Lexus IS here takes a 7440NA front turn signal bulb, and that is a single filament bulb. The led bulb you installed is a 7443 bulb, which comes with 2 filaments. 7443 will fit in a 7440 because the base is so similar, but that dim function won’t work because Lexus didn’t use the turn signal bulbs as parking lights. Fun Fact: These Lasfit bulbs are not actually switchback bulbs either. When we think of switchback we think of a white light turned off and staying off while amber flashes, and then the white comes back on after your signal is turned off. These just use a white parking light and it stays on while amber flashes over it. Don’t know why they call it a switchback but I still like them anyway.
Actually no I put these on my cousin Camry and it does exactly that. White when it’s on drl and flashes orange for signals. If you haven’t seen that video check it out! It’s called lastfit spoiled my cousin Camry. But maybe it does stay on white and flashes orange it’s not in okay car so memory little foggy 🤣
Hey bro, appreciate all the vids! Can you confirm the bulbs you would use for lexus is300 2020> Looks like it would just be two sets T3-7443A. Basically they work for both front and rear. Is that correct? Thank you man, appreciate the vis.
Yup if you doubt yourself you can put your info in on the site it will tell you but I know front and rears are usually the same bulb size not sure if it’s all led now though
Hey bro how are the bulbs holding up? Do they hyper flash if you’re at a long red light? Lasit claims these don’t overheat as fast as the older generation bulbs. I may have to get some for my wife’s trd Camry
Put these in my 2023 Lexus RC350 and they work great no hyper flashing on the rear turn signals👍
Glad it worked for ya!
