Nice video, as always. I like the way you are upfront with the positives and negatives - Some just concentrate on the negatives or just say it's not as good as Photoshop. For those of us on a budget it's helpful to know that IR processing is possible, on a free program, and well done for throwing in workarounds for missing tools.
I know I am late to the party, but it was really cool to listen to your interview on The Photo Seen podcast. Shooting in IR is great but it is such a small niche that you can feel like you are alone on an island. Finding podcasts and UA-cam channels like yours in much appreciated.
Very nice video explaining the capabilities at a high level as it relates to infrared photography. I think many people disregard the software that comes with their camera since it’s free. You’ve shown how someone could get a pretty nice image with not a ton of effort. Good callout on things to be aware of as well.
Thanks! Nikon has improved very much their code throughout the years but they are still behind what other countries do. Thom Hogan usually complains about that. Hardware is fantastic, coding is ten years behind what American or Chinese do. It is a cultural thing probably.

Thank you so much! Now I can use it for infrared, too.
It's possible to record adjustments (for later use)

NX Studio will, at least, use the custom white balance from the camera. PhotoShop and Lightroom will strip those off when you try to modify the file.
