a friendly reminder. NEVER run gcode you found randomly on the internet. even if not malicious, the gcode was not written with your printer specifications in mind and can cause serious issues or even damage to some printers.
Yeah, that's very true, but you can trust a pretty famous YT Channel.
The website has you select your printer model and has unique geode for different printers
Wish I have read this few days ago.. 😢
What kind of damage?
As someone said you can choose specific printers and settings on the website, it was developed by a lecturer at my university (Loughborough in the UK), in general good advice but this site is definitely safe and let’s you do some pretty cool things by having ‘full control’ over the gcode and how the nozzle moves

@@personalemail9329 i have seen & used 3D printers for designs when I was in school :) even considered buying one for home. thanks for your input though
Really good visualization of how much force the nozzle puts onto the print
This is both the most satisfying and least satisfying video at the same time.
Exactly what I thought...
Pretty cool how it's able to stay on track even with it wobbling back and forth
Edit: *Thanks for all the likes* ❤️
Plastic do be sticky when molten
It's wobbling because its moving it
@@Lucas_van_Hout you'd be surprised how untrue that can be in printing
not really wobbling it's moving it as it prints as it prints one side it's causing it so slightly slightly lean and sped up going from side to side really does appear to be wobbling though.
Do you think the G code can be written to account for the wobbling? I'm not sure if it's wobbling or not tbh, but it would be cool if you're able to write the code in a way that takes into the account it wobbling in a certain way, to make the print look good.
OMG, it worked on my Prusa i3 first try... amazing what FDM can do.. looking forward to techniques showing up in slicers!
that's pretty nuts. That nozzle looks like that because this is a tool and not rare china
Tools still needs to be clean
Its like ur trying to speak, i just know it!
@Hateithere only the areas that effect work quality need cleaning. Or areas where dirt buildup slows production, cutting profits
If you work somewhere that prioritizes production speed, you will get fired if they catch you sitting around cleaning tools that would work just fine without the time and effort.
Right! Like, even if they cleaned it recently, you know it got like this again, trying to do difficult prints.
@Brian Dearden companies run their printers as much as they possibly can - its production rate that causes the mess to build so quickly - every second a business has a machine not producing products/parts, whether it be a 300amp tig welder or a 3d printer, that machine is costing them money
This is why most high-production factories run shifts and operate 24/7/365, instead of running regular operating hours (this is more true the more expensive the machine gets, so with a 3d printer it isn't as big a deal as a shop with multiple Million-dollar CNC machines
Professional-production and hobby level work are not at all comparable, this is why all the hobby guys are shocked at how dirty it is - it's a tool to make $ for a business, it's their favorite beautiful fun toy for hobby guys
That's pretty impressive seeing how much that thing is moving and the computer is accounting for that little wobbly and is still perfect
Nice result.
Does the code compensate for that wobble, or is it only the continual flow that's keeping the nozzle aligned..?
It’s altogether most likely the parabala
It's pretty much the 'parabala', internal radius of the speheroid shape.
I'm pretty sure that's why it's called the Pin Support _Challenge,_ because it takes a lot of code to account for the wobble and still come out with a perfect sphere.
@@MrTrevortxeartxenah, the nozzle doesn't have to move in a special way compared to a normal circular print
This printer looks like it would be able to handle even more.
If they bothered to clean the nozzle from time to time.
It looks like level 3 quarantine hazard
Does the program for this take into account the wobble towards the middle and top? Cause if so. Color me impressed. Just not with this nozzle please
It's not dirty, it's just high level balancing.
They didn’t even show how much it could support they just print what it could support…
I thought bother means brother
That’s actually a 1/10th masterwork. You have an imperfection from the filament on the nozzle that dropped onto the piece perfectly, to which the nozzle drip secured onto the piece.
If not for the excess part that got secured, it would be worth very little.

I know no one asked but, For the Bambu printers me and others I know have problems with prints similar to this where the support is thin and the weight is together at the top. If you also have a problem with this a good way to try to fix it that I found out is to mess around with the types of infill and to raise the nozzle height when moving from one part of the print to another as well as slowing it down because the bambu can go very fast. Also if you use a cool plate with some glue.
The best part of the video is the part when he displayed the finished product!

My anxiety when the product is bobbing around: 📈📈📈
Your gcode is customized. It likely wouldn't work for someone else unless they're using the exact same settings you're using. Printing and cnc cutouts require some number of constants that most folks just wont have or be able to achieve. Cool you made a pen.

tell me u dont own a 3D printer without telling me u dont have a 3D printer
Hope this helps someone preheat nozzle to 200 then use a metal bristle brush (toothbrush sized) and use it on the nozzle and heating block GENTLY to remove the plastic gunk left behind after removing excess with needle nose pliers or if all else fails remove nozzle after preheat and put the nozzle submerged in a cup of water in microwave for about 30sec then use the metal brush to GENTLY wipe away the plastic. It should restore your nozzle to new but be careful because too much force can be abrasive on the metal nozzle.
