- While I neglected to film the actual building of the crusher I go through and explain what I did to build my rock crusher.

Excellent idea. An expanded steel safety guard over the belt would be a nice addition.
Thanks for explaining everything in such clear manner. Maybe some time you can do a short video of the crusher running with the front plate removed (of course without throwing any rocks into it). Anyway, that's one of the best vids on the subject around.
The front support bearing is mounted in the front plate so that could get ugly fast.
Good one mate , you done a good job building that crusher , It look great
honestly, great video. clear, concise and great build. Easy to understand and follow. Thank you.
That's a nice machine you made, well done.
Actual measurements would be really appreciated
Good job brother, get a green belt from the parts store, they are for heavy use. And drill holes in the bottom for your heavier ore will sink.
I've not had any issues with the belt on there now. Though when i do to change it I'll keep that in mind
I like it! One thought, and one question:
The thought: Have you pondered adding a nut and bolt to the final link of chain, to give the flails a better head, and:
The question: What RPM are you running the shaft? I'm going electric.
RE : The Dust Exhaust Pipe ...
One idea you might like to try is to weld on a metal sleeve to which you push the Duct Pipe onto ... hold it on with a large metal pressure clamp ring that is much like a hose clamp but larger !!
I believe you should add a reservoir and 1/4" dripline. Such as would cut the dust to minimum.
just a small tap, like used for adding a line to your refridgerator from your potable water source.
Good work, wanting to build slightly bigger on to crush glass here in the Philippines.
you can make a tensioner on the belt
Hi Puddin, what a great job you did, can you please tell us the Width and length of the shaft and also what size bearings.
Some good tips, thanks.
that was very helpful, thanks!
Nice job.👍
For where you put the sticky tape I would actually go and get myself a 3-inch fight to a 6-in pipe and weld it and then make it so there you can slide a pipe onto it and take it off if you want
Very nice job mate.jas
Excellent video! Which diameter did you made the holes in the wall? 1/8"?
I'm thinking of making such a mill. In a 50 cm diameter mill, what is the power of the gasoline engine I'm going to need?
Flanged pillow block bearings.
Planning my build.. Would holes on the bottom 1 or 3 plates for the processed material to fall be better. Gravity usually makes things fall down. I'm thinking a bigger flale shaft would be better to maybe 1 inch? Would horizontal weld lines on inside plates help brake material better? What would be a better/harder material than chain or attached to end of chains?
Have a look at a Metso product called a knitter crusher - very similar in principle 😎😉
What is the point of turning a rock into dust? I guess I don't understand the point of this machine.
If you wish to fully extract elements from rock you need to have it crushed as fine as possible. I originally built it to crush gold ore but ended up using it primarily for manganese ore.
@@Puddin Thanks. I learned something new!
imma gonna build me one 😊
Excuse master, may be can u send me technical draw that cruisher. I wanna made that. Thank u.
why not use a carrage bolts inside ..!??
Results of your crushed materials.
As in size ? Microns ? Chunks ?
If you put a glass on the pulverizer machine , will it still work ?
What diameter of shaft did you use and was it keyed? Also what was the outside diameter of the pulleys?
Building chain impact mill here. . . .Just wondering what size drill holes you have drilled for your exhaust port. . . . and how many. . . .I did my barrel out of 500mm x 150mm (20" x 6") line pipe that was 10mm (3/8") thick . .. . .my first attempt. . . ..my shaft is 25mm (1") and chain is Grade 8 HT steel Galvanised . . . . .Still got a way to go. . . .Have plans of coupling this to a recirculating wet sluice. . ..As I live in a dry region of South OZ. . .
In this vid I use 4mm holes for the exhaust. After using it though I'd recommend double the amount of holes I have in this vid.
@@Puddin thanks man. . . ..really appreciate the info. . .. will let ya know how i go..
What do u think of running it as a direct drive? Did you overlap the steel, 135’s.
good video
How far between chains and inside of box?
How many barings do you need?
Are the chains long enough?
But where is the ground terrace comes out?
I need help building a stamp mill. Want to collaborate?
How deep is it 8 inch deep 10 inch deep?
Hello thank you for the great video, if it is not a problem for you, can you send me your drawings on rock crusher width brace, kind of like drawings, thanks in advance
What's the engine type and hp
Hi Sir, any chance you would be in a position to assist me build one of my own. Am in Kiambu Kenya
I spent two seasons in the octagon.
i wonder why are they so expensive >.>
It costs a fortune to make a metal shaft rotate and short lengths of chain cost thousands of dollars also. It's not like you could just rotate a shaft between some $20 bearings inside of an old propane tank with a couple pieces of chain welded on. Obviously.
You need osmium-technetium chain prepared in vacuum under zero gravity or or rocks will not break.
why not use an electric motor?
Probably used gasoline engine for portability is my guess. Also, crushing is very loud, this way you can use mill away from people.
I got a question would this crush mountain rock in Virginia
It would be better to use rock from West Virginia mountains.
Hey! Can you PM me everything I will need to build such a rock crusher dimensions, part names, etc? I want to build one as soon as possible. You can also add my Facebook if you're interested. Thanks!
This guy has never even built a dog house.
how much to make me one?
Are you willing to make me a crusher
how thick is the body
I used 1/4" mild steel for the whole body
😂😂😂😂😂😂
fix yr cam pls
