@@bethwalsh9020 The new UA-cam reactor @davidkreacts noticed, and had a similar reaction to Mortius's. If it weren't for the fact they perform this live, I'd swear it was enhanced in post (added reverb and echo, maybe layering).
@@CapriUni yes I follow DavidK. I think some reactors just don't process that that sound could possibly come from a human (I know it boggles for sure).
De Jay is part of a Hamilton cast, it's a nod to that
in the last verse I think they are makeing up there own items as a nod to the fact that Deejay is a main cast member in the off Broadway traveling rendition of Hamiltion right now!

Layne has been doing the sleigh bell sound for many years now. You should go back and relisten to the VP Christmas catalog and see how many times you can hear Layne sneaking in sleigh bells into his beatboxing. 😁 If I remember correctly, and don't quote me on this, but I believe he does it in the group's version of White Christmas for sure.
Fun reaction, Mortius. They did this song several times for Disney's Mickey Mouse Merry Christmas Party starting in 2015. The Tinkerbell line has been in it, but this is the first time Geoff did the arabesque. They always add topical lines to the mix. I loved the switch to a Latin (?) beat near the end, the hip swivels from Cesar and Eli, and the end of the song was definitely Wicked. (See what I did there?)
I'm glad somebody else got Wicked vibes from that ending and it wasn't just me
No idea how Layne did sleigh bells unless the sound was modified in edit to make it higher or something. You know that they always make a song their own. So yes, a slight change in the lyrics to make it current.

Always enjoy your reactions and analysis videos. I don't understand how Layne can make those sleigh bell sounds either. By the way, Layne is playing the part of David Seville from "David Seville and the Chipmunks" back in 1958. David Seville (stage name} also released in the same year another hit novelty song, "Witch Doctor". I drove my parents nuts singing "oh eh oh ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang" for hours on end. Really liked this version by Voiceplay, but there is hardly anything Voiceplay touches that is not ridiculously arranged.

loving the depth and enthusiasm of your reactions as usual, but particularly glad you enjoy Layne's sleigh bells as much as I do! Often such a lil detail, but it makes my neurodivergent brain happy! I honestly thought that when you went off camera you were going to come back on the other side so that jump scare did actually kind of scare me but made me laugh at the same time because I was already laughing😂 But honestly, that is a valid reaction because when I first saw the video and Layne did the sleigh bells I was like "wtf is he even real??". Sometimes I think that he has just swallowed all the percussion instruments that exist because I'm pretty sure he can just sound like all of them xD. Great reaction as always friend💜

Hi, Mortius. First of all great reaction (as always). But I am actualy writing this coment because a few days back I heard a song that made me think of you. It has your favorite technique in it (at least I thing it fits this category) and when I heard this I was like: ¨Hmm Mortius would like it.¨ The song is called ¨Christmas truce¨ originally by SABATON (Swedish heavy metal band) or cover version by Tommy Johansson (actually one of lead guitarist in sabaton). In that part I prefer Tommy's version, because In original Sabaton drop almost every instrument but keep drums whit the vocals. Tommy in that part drop everything and keep just vocals. You don't need to react to this song but if you find time for it, listen to any version of this song. It is wery beautiful song inspired by true events. (If you will listen to Sabaton's version watch to the official video, it realy helps you understand what is this song about).
