Another thing to consider with the RC wallet is, the making of the wallet helps create jobs for people in India and it seems it's mostly handmade/sewn, which could be some of the reasons it's so expensive... Just my thoughts.. and savycents wallet is also great too
Just got my Rachel Cruze wallet. I absolutely LOVE it. 😃. Oh! I use the labels from a Dymo label maker. It sticks just fine on the fabric. In fact I love the black one so much I ordered a second one in the camel color. Don’t care that it’s not micheal kor or any other name on it. This wallet in my opinion at the very least can stand right up there with any name you can mention. The quality is amazing. To me the price is in fact worth every penny I paid. This one will last for years.
I really enjoy the SC wallets, not too expensive and it is durable. I've had mine for almost 5 years and it's still in fairly good shape. I would def try the RC if it had more slots for cash categories. I need at least five.
Actually the Dymo label maker labels stick VERY well to fabric. If I need more pockets I’ll slip a divider in one of the pockets and label appropriately.
I just use a plastic coupon wallet I picked up at WalMart. Taped the edges of standard sized envelopes to keep them from falling apart too quickly. All of this is easily replaceable, has pockets galore with label tabs. The only things missing are the wristlet, change purse area & cards area. I can live without all of that for the price & convince.
Great video. I am leaning towards the RC wallet (my husband wanted birthday ideas). But I wish I had known about the SC wallet at the beginning of my DF journey. I had labeled clips that worked but I fumbled around a lot if in line. I think both wallets are good. For me, the coin pocket is a big deal. Both would definitely work though. I was glad to see the SC holds up well.
On the Rachel Cruze wallet, you could use the slot before and after the zippered section as cash envelopes 5 & 6. And if you needed a 7th envelope, you could use the section behind the cards on the other side across from the built in envelopes.
ooh i like both but he quality of RC is worth it to me. It looks more sophisticated and i'm ok paying that much for it since her advice has really helped me achieve my financial goals. Great review of both products! Also, I just checked her page out and there's a new light color called champagne which is the one I am getting :)
I wouldn’t spend my money on the SC wallet I rather save the Rachel wallet. If I where starting my budget journey I wouldn’t be worried about buying a wallet but if I wanted to spoil my self I would go for the better quality wallet . Thanks for the comparison.
Thanks for the review. $68 American dollars is $89 Australian dollars and then postage costs a bomb. The shipping time is at least 6 weeks or even more with covid. Will have to see if I am able to purchase on Amazon.
just stumbled upon your channel, love this video absolutely awesome. I have both of these as well. I have the Limited Rose Gold Rachel Cruze Cash Wallet, the other wallet I have like yours it's just to wide just didn't jive with me.
I bought a basic one from Jordon Budgets, but was looking into another one, just in case I need an upgrade. I only have one card, but once I set up other accounts (cards Will be added).
I like the RC wallet! The camel color and champagne! So beautiful! I just wish it had 5 or 6 slots. I already gave my husband gift ideas for Christmas . RC wallet it is! Thank you for sharing! That was so helpful!
I really like my saavyscents wallet....However the wear in tear came in in about 4-5 yrs total and just ordered a new one. I will see how long this one holds and maybe try out a RC wallet next time if it doesn't hold a lil longer.
@@saraconklinfrozenpennies update... I love the color and wallet, however, I should have chosen a darker color like the purple one. I know myself and know that the color will change as I'm a very busy busy mom and tend to toss my wallet everywhere.
I think you said you are a financial coach? I really enjoyed your video and look forward to watching many more. Do you advice using cash over a debit card? Just wondering. I tried using cash one day and I became so stressed out over it. It might be that I’ve used a debit card for so many yearsI Just the same I switched back to a debit card. I’m thinking I might not have given cash a fair chance. What do you think? I would love to hear your opinion. :0)
Hi Diane. I am a financial coach and I do suggest using cash for most things. Specifically, on areas you tend to overspend in (clothes, groceries, eating out, Target ☺️ ). Feel free to reach out with any other questions. You can email me if that's easier sara@frozenpennies.com
I loved my Savvy Cents wallet but would not buy another one again. The exterior was beautiful (I got the brown plaid), and the slim shape of it made it a joy to carry and throw into my purse. However, the inner material is too flimsy. After just a couple of months, my debit card tore right through the card slot - it’s just your average debit card and not at all sharp.
I would be interested in the answer to this question, too. I think I'm leaning toward the Rachel Cruze wallet because, although more expensive, the money from it is going to help a wonderful organization called Joyn and their efforts to provide employment in India.
@@saraconklinfrozenpennies yeah, they look really cheap but if they last a long time, that's awesome! Personally, though, I'd expect to pay no more than $15.00 for a product made with synthetics like that. $68.00 for the RC wallet is extremely reasonable for what it is. MK, KS, LV, etc. don't introduce the person who made your item for you, and they don't use a ministry/business like JOYN that truly helps the local people in the country that manufactures the product. This is just my opinion, but having all the above name brands, RC's wallet is up there and quite possibly beyond, especially for the price. God bless y'all!!
