Right at the end where the guy says "two souls have returned to you" he was talking about Nina and Alexander
Yup the dub screwed up by specifying human souls. Tucker going to hell, he aint gonna be returning to god
11:41 The 'intermission' was where the TV commercial breaks were.
For the younger audience, TV commercials are like the ads you see on youtube.
Fantastic.😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
another terrible day for……oh, wait. 😢
Ep 3 shows extremes of religion, Ep 4 shows extremes of science. any ideology can be twisted. and the “we know we’re not devils. we know we’re not gods. we’re only human!” hits hard
In my opinion, Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood + manga) is one of the best stories out there. It has everything; good artstyle, complex and appealing characters, a cohesive storyline, good humor, a unique and interesting concept and world that I would love to know more about. It's a 10/10 masterpiece for me, and I keep going back to rewatch it at least once a year. It never gets old.

One of us,
One of us.
Gooble Gobble Gooble Gobble
One of the beauties of manga/anime is that the source material is both a visual and a narrative medium. The author/artist can use both methods to tell a story in a way that books cannot.
EP 4 is the real opening of this anime
25:15 Lex: "... he's about to do something really weird and creepy."
Me: "Well..." {insert nervous laughter here}
This is your true welcome to FMAB,
I wish I could like this more than once.
I watch this as a kid, i dind't realize how a masterpiece it was
@20:25 you're thinking of Wanderer Above the Sea of Clouds, it's an example of the sublime in Romanticism, and the power of nature vs. man. really good connection to draw though
Fun fact: Episode 3 is actually the first story in the manga. The Freezing Alchemist story is show only (though they connected it well to the larger story and moved some later character introductions into it), and the big flashback in episode 2 comes way later.
There was one line in the manga that I always wish they kept here. Right after Al stops Ed from beating Tucker to death, Tucker tries to keep yammering on, and Al snaps back, “Say one more thing and I’LL be the one to shut you up!”
Just shows you that what Tucker did was so twisted that even a sweet boy like Al was *barely* able to keep himself from absolutely *losing his shit*.
It's interesting you bring up Greek mythology b/c there is a another reference (aside from the Chimera and Icarus story) here, which is Leto. Leto was a goddess who was the mother of Artemis and Apollo.
There is a lot of pain in life .. this show does not shy away from showing it.
Fun fact. At the end of every chapter the artist would show the people who died going to heaven. Tucker was the only one shown going to hell.
It's dark but it has a clear purpose throughout the story.
The danger of going too far in religion(ep. 3)/in science(ep. 4)... It helps set the boundary for Ed and Al.
everytime you said something positive about nina, tucker, or alexander I was just like, "Ooh, oh no.."
Episode 4 is the true initiation to FMAB, everyone freaks out watching the dark elements about this world.
Yoki is just a ex military i think
Yes, this is explained in the manga and the original 2009 anime. He was a corrupt military man who bankrupted the town of Youswell with heavy taxation.
2003* brotherhood is the 2009 one@@MrSporkster
@@Los_BreadstickMartian thanks.
It is the top anime over decades, of course it is deep
meeting room
staff: we need edgy ep, should we kill a dog or a girl?
the author: why not both....
We see the contrast yet the similarity of extreme measures from both sides in these couple of episodes. What happens if blind faith to religion goes too far, and what happens if progress in the name of science (alchemy) goes too far. Two sides of the same coin.
Yeah...that episode.
This is the second most twisted ,creepy thing that i have seen. The first is in re zero
Time to look for Nina and Alexander memes...
You have been initiated, enjoy
Big brother…
Buckle up, it gets darker than this! o_O
You should watch it in Dub ver.. so you can watch the Bloopers in the end.. The Dub version of this Anime is so good
Japanese really sounds like clanging tin cans to me.
:)
