All of this for the delivery man to end up throwing the pack of tiles from his van 😂
Did you see how they packed it in to the box??????? A TINY sheet of Styrofoam between them hahahaha
he has bills to pay also
Or some random person not appreciating these ceramic tiles... 😢
I appreciate their hard work more! Seeing this is pretty cool! 😮
So pay the higher price hehehe
Artisans should be more appreciated💅
It's just a shame the bulk of us can't afford to pay them. Modern capitalism in a nutshell, everyone.
@@ThorDude The west has fallen, chat
@@ThorDude... what? You lacking money for luxury has nothing to do with capitalism.
"Capitalism" has allowed everyone to afford normal mass-produced tiles instead of us living in mud huts.
That’s not incentivized under capitalism. The root cause of humanity’s daily suffering and degradation are the inherent incentives and contradictions in capitalism.
@@alfredandersson875 "Capitalism" is just people freely trading and creating. You are at war with reality. Thanks to it we have tiles and whatever other products at affordable prices. It has lifted people out of poverty, the natural state of humanity.
Theres something extra beautiful about handmade, someone worked on it, put their skills and heart into it. People should appreciate that ❤
As someone who crochets and only ever gifts their works because most people wouldn't pay the price..... Thank you! 💙
@@jayvee1387I end up gifting my crochet sweaters to my relatives too but I still have to hear from them "do you even sell them or just gift them all" :/
i love artesanal stuff. it's some of the coolest art in the world.
Jesus loves you ❤️ Please repent and turn to Him and receive Salvation before it is too late. The end times written about in the Bible are already happening in the world. Jesus is the son of God and He died for our sins on the cross and God raised Him from the dead on the third day. Jesus is waiting for you with open arms but time is running out. Please repent and turn to Him before it is too late. Accept Jesus into your heart and invite Him to be Lord and Saviour of your life and confess and believe that Jesus is Lord, that He died for your sins on the cross and that God raised Him from the dead. Confess that you are a sinner in need of God's Grace and ask God to forgive you for all your sins through Jesus.
Jesus loves you. Nothing can compare to how He loves you. When He hung on that cross, He thought of you. As they tore open His back, He thought of your prayer time with Him. As the thorns dug into His head, He thought of you spending time reading the Bible. As the spears went into His side, He imagined embracing you in heaven. Please repent and turn to Jesus and receive Salvation now before it's too late. Time is almost up.
so true!
Yes, ceramic tiles can be fired in large amounts, but that doesn't mean they're faster to produce. After all, they get fired twice and firings can't be done in a day. They can be crafted individually like these tiles just like cement tiles can be mass produced. These are a gorgeous handmade product, don't cheapen it by putting down their sister artists in ceramics.
Agreed!
That's amazing. The fact that they also measure out all the pigment for that perfect colour as well. No wonder it's so expensive, it deserves that price tag.
Please credit your video/image/audio sources, ideally with links in the description and/or a pinned comment.
so pretty!
That's why real artisan tiles are so expensive.
Remember seeing a video like this but in Egypt
Me too. And the guy was the last man doing this job (when I know for a fact it is still a job also in my country)
@@llpBRmaybe he was the last one in his country
Note to dessert chefs: ... This looked so tasty in the thumbnail....
Minecraft manual glazed terracotta farm IRL
Gorgeous
So gorgeous 🥰
i agree, a cake is always started by covering the batter in cement
😂
I can not be the only one who thought they just made a stamp with good paint and it wasn’t colored cement
That's how most cement tiles are made.
These look like some of the Italian tiles my grandparents put in their house in the 50’s. Loved the look.
This actually looks like a decent use for a 3D printer. Making the mold for pouring I mean.
Soo beautiful. Would love to have these in my home one day
That looks so beautiful I wish I had a house.
Beautiful
My brain when i saw the thumbnail: That's cake!
*Reads caption* : oh..💀
Yet they cost half the price of ceramic tiles.

Not these ones, they're handmade. For the cheap ones the pattern is just painted on the tiles
it seems very tasty for some reason
😂
I have set Pallets of this material, throughout the Hollywood area …
It’s beautiful, but I Highly Recommend sealing each piece with an oil based sealer… go through every box for visual inspection. Check with the owner/ contractor to assess ‘defect’ tolerance … this being Very Subjective.
Warning ‼️ if this material isn’t sealed, even hand prints will permanently stain them.
Also, a light hands-on sanding of the edges, can work out tiny lips.
Reseal the entire floor, buffing off any excess liquid.
Later, they can be waxed by a professional, to the customers liking.
This is a fantastic, and fantastically difficult, finish … pricey at best. 😅
Thank you. I was going to ask about just that. What is their advantage, if any? The lower price, and/or a different, less smooth look?
@@tesseract_1982 the feel of the floor is unmatched, contending with wood for its soft warmth.
The price of the material isn’t the issue, but the installation is the thing. DO NOT SKIMP on that. It is a labor intensive job. The sealing process is key.
Look for the confidence in their eyes. This not like any other tile work.
- about the finish quality: the combination of concrete and and the color layer of softer stone powder, is amazing. Silky and Acoustically light. Almost like a plaster.
Best of luck 🤞
Thank God. I thought this was one of those CPU coolant channels where they put weird stuff instead of thermal paste, from the thumbnail
I love tiles
Very alsome wonderful beautiful hard hand work with their arms and hands to make these very beautiful art work
i confirm my country is very known with this kind of artistry and maany more traditionnel ones.
And they get the paid… $0.16 a day! Or no I’m sorry… $15 A YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!
"We pay them a fair wage which is more than what is the general average" - The company that's selling these tiles.
This type of artisanal work is usually done by small family owned businesses
Amazing 😮
Cement also loves to soak up all things and if u spill milk into that porous ass rock, you have a whole smell that will never ever leave. The stone will smell up your house unless you like the smell of wet porous rock all the time. Its best to get this if you live in a dry climate to prevent moisture and bacteria in these stones.

That is where sealing and coatings come in useful ;)

Nah, no way we have something that advanced
If you put cement in the house you are supposed to seal it.....
Pretty sure it soaks up bleach water then. That should take care of the milk.
Amazing!
I remember seeing these tiles made when I was a kid in Mexico. Is definitely rare to see this still going
I am so impressed with their skill! What talent! Thank you for sharing!
I appreciate traditionnal art and build . If only the wold worked like that in modern time , everything would be so beautiful and much more ecofriendly
All the tiles in all those old Spanish buildings
This is in Morocco which is close to Spain. There was centuries of cross cultural influence going back to Romans & Moors
@@NewAgeBarbarian yup
Beautiful work !
I remember my aunt looking for cement tile for her kitch3n when she bought a house, about 15 years ago. It took sooo long, and in the end she had to my them second hand from an old house that was getting demolished. Still, her kitchen floor is VERY nice.😊
Wow beautiful...
I want to do this so bad. Stupid arthritis...
!!!! amazing 🤯
Take a shot for each cement
chettinad, India is famous for making these tiles.
They could use a sauce gun or a pitcher and they would be a lot more efficient with their time. Technically they could double fist sauce guns and get it done faster.
I don't think we should be advocating for that. It's not a sweat shop.
Also, how accurate are those sauce guns?............. real question for...... reasons....
Respect 🙇🏾♂️
I mean it’s cool and looks hard but isn’t this just explicitly worse than ceramic? It doesn’t look like they’re using waterproof cement, and cement is a lot easier to chip and wears down. Not to mention it’s toxic and caustic if it gets powdered up. Not the kind of things I’d want out of backsplash in my kitchen. I feel like all this channel does is find arts that are dying for a good reason and then they just forget to mention the massive problems with them.
And than delivery guy breaks it
SaAnd and CEment
Our India have a variety of such art businesses
Here before this video goes viral.
I know this isn't the point and will get some flak, but I wonder why this process can't be automated to produce them in higher volumes
To keep running costs low
This is typically a family business.
This is typically a family business.
@@NewAgeBarbarian if they had a frame with multiple nozzles that could inject the colored cement into dozens of tiles simultaneously, wouldn't that lower the cost of production per tile below where it's at with a person making them by hand one by one? Seems like scaling up the process could make them cheaper
You’re right, it’s not the point. It is in no way, shape, or form the point when we’re looking at a video about a handmade, artisanal product.
Cement?! That's conkcreet babyyyyy!
Cake batter
And the ceo is nowhere to be seen.
Good.

Could be easily automated, its not like there is much artistic expression left at this point of the progess anyways
I just don’t understand why people like you even exist💀
Why can’t you just let us have nice things?
@@Tennisisreallyfun i want you to have nice things and to a reasonable price aswell.
Kind of looks like curry.
Fun drinking game: Take a shot every time she says cement.
A machine could make this so much faster and more consistent.
You sound really fun to be around
This is the mindset I despise causing the death of artisans, luckly morocco really cares about its artistical culture
Oh yeah, get rid of handmade human aspect and use machines. No!!! Handmade has heart, let the artisans be!
@@sebastianmichael5819 and your midset, is what i despise even more. Instead of mindlessly continuing already travelled path with nothing new or going insane with automatisation to the point of turning people to another cogs, we should use both ways to get rid of their limitations
@@NertNeverlander sadly youtube cesorship won't allow me to elaborate so I have to keep it short, what the original comment was entailing, "a machine could make this so much faster and consistent", is using a machine for what is pretty much the most important "hand-made" part, putting the colors and dirt, do that and artisans are no longer needed, it would become just another mass producing capitalist factory.
I would actually self-implode if a guy who said he wasn’t ready for a relationship then was in the backseat with me while my parents are high af driving 🤠 major second hand embarrassment.
❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤😊
What does this have to do with the video?
Bro ? 😢
Were.. were we watching the same video? 😅
Came to the comments to figure out what the heck is going on. Glad to see you guys are as confused as me
Why did this remind me of the pudding i made 🥲🧐
