Honestly though, glad they shoved all their crappy pick-a-pipe and hidden-block-to-progress ideas into those levels so solo players know what to avoid (or expect). But seriously, they're really meant to be multiplayer-focused.
It's weird to see Panga playing a 2D mario game he actually enjoys unlike mm2 for the most part. Such a subtle but noticable difference in his personality
You know, upon watching this I just realized how thoughtfully designed sun-baked skirmish KO arena is. Room 1 enemies are immune to bubble and elephant(I think) but die to drill and fire. Room 2 enemies are practically immune to fire and bubble but die easily to elephant or drill. But then in room 3 bubble flower would dominate because it one-shots the snakes even with pots on them. Then room 4 is easily done with no powerup likely cause nintendo thinks you'll lose it by then.
Room 1: They are "immune" to elephant in that it doesn't do any damage. However, it turns them around on the spot allowing you to grab the handle much faster than waiting for them to turn around at an edge. Room 2: What do you mean "practically immune to fire"? He used the fire flower right there to kill them? Also, there are lakitu clouds that constantly spawn on the right that you can use to actually aim your fireballs at the ones on the ceiling for easy and fast kills. Room 3: True, but the pots really aren't that bad of an alternative as there are so many lying on the floor that it's slower, but not glacially so. Bubble is still the way to go for the room though. Room 4: Yup, either dodge the hammers if you're small or damage boost, classic mario room honestly and is faster without using a powerup's powers (just d-boost instead).
Explains a lot. Not only do they have a pick a pipe, they have those hidden block levels, and some of the enemies are just horribly designed. Those hoppy things are basically off screen to thwomps that can move around
Dude even if Mario Maker 3 is just completely centered around Wonder, giving us the power to create levels and mess around with the mechanics and limits of this game would be awesome
As someone still playing through Wonder, thanks for the Wonder and Non-Wonder videos each day. Gives me one to watch that day and obe to watch when I'm done with the game.
The analogies couldn't get anymore literal; the characters literally have flowers on their heads. The Sonic team better come up with some lotus land themes or something for their clapback to Wonder.

Everything else, I was able to figure out on my own. But this...? This was just awful. It's the only level in the entire game that I actively dislike.
@@moosesues8887 You mean the one with the hidden blocks? It was pretty trivial to just try every character, and have each character reveal their own hidden blocks.
this was one of my favorites! i played it solo because of no subscription, and i found it just the right amount of challenging and fun. i guess watching hundreds of hours of smm2 gave me a keen eye for trickery
My guess is they tweaked the physics of mario maker and then made this game. They direct copy so many designs from maker already. Would make sense to use the same base to make this game so they can easily release a 20 dollar dlc pack of wonder essentials next year during or around E3
Based off a video about early forays into modding this game, I suspect this is not true due to how they completely restructured the way levels are internally programmed and drawn in this game, using lines and plot points to draw terrain instead of placing individual tiles. This leads me to believe it's all internally quite different from any previous 2D mario title.
@@0ceanking maybe but you saying things were more drawn in, they kind of have that aesthetic pop up of random items in the current makers that toss random bushes etc. while placing ground down. Could be that they expanded on that. Either way I think a DLC would be cool to have with the newer elements in the game. 😄
@@RhumpleOriginalI was using drawn in more of the technical sense of how the game's code stores and 'creates' all the terrain of the level that we see. So much about this game seems fundamentally different both internally and just from gamefeel I'd be very surprised if they didn't build it (mostly) from scratch! That said, I would LOVE any sort of maker DLC/sequel that incorporates all of Wonder's amazing new content!
