Also in this episode I love how when his siblings ask him how many places he went he gives a ~charmingly aloof~ answer but later talking to Penelope he gives her an exact number. Feels like he shows his true self to her, not the airs he puts on with everyone else

My only complaints are that Colin does not have the book pining I loved sm but also the insane amount of storylines. Their book is my fav and seeing them have such little amount of screen time is rly sad.

Colin’s gifts.. he is so sensitive and thoughtful of others but so overlooked. Only Penelope fills his cup- and he hers!!
Does anyone else notice when Colin is talking about how cruel Whistledown was to Pen, After it was revealed to the ton about him helping her find a husband.. Pen says, " She had to, or it would seem suspicious if she didn't." She also said something similar to Eloise too...

Ok, but you know what other mythology adjacent story they are? They're Odysseus and Penelope from the Odyssey! In the books, it takes 12 years of them knowing each other and Colin's travels for them to finally get together. In the show, they clearly met when they were younger and have to have known each other for quite some time by season 1, so I'd calculate 8-10 years of knowing each other. Penelope (from the Odyssey) waits for her husband 20 years as he goes to war for 10 and travels for another 10. Just like this Penelope waits for Colin as he takes his time traveling the world and realizing his feelings for her. She's been in love with him from the moment she met him, after all. To make it even more tantalizing, they allude to this when they have Debling ask Penelope if there is a story about a wife that waits for her husband as he goes through adventures. And of course, the most obvious comparison, her name is literally Penelope, like Odysseus' wife.

At first I didn't understand why the Psyché and Eros ref. Now I definitely see it everywhere.
I noticed while rewatching season 3... And remembering this video, there was a portrait of edmund and violet and there were 6 plates instead of 8 (the siblings) but placed on the fourth position instead of a plate is a clock. (Benedicts cinderella story for season 4)
I also noticed in this video, from colins left side there were 2 vases (1&2 season) Colin (S3) and a clock at the 4th position
And if you count it from his right the clock is in 3rd position (coz it was supposed be S3) and colin is in 4th but because it was switched/swapped now you have to count it on the other side
The one thing i find strange about season 3 is Daphne not attending either wedding or any explanation regarding her absence

I wouldn't get to excited for series 3 part 2 i think there romance will only be short and once he finds out penny's secret he will not be able to ever forgive her and will end thier romance and will agree to be just friends and colin will go off traveling again i just really dont see penelope getting her happy ever after :(
