    The acting of Martha is insane in this show, no pun intended.
    Her ability to go from a giggly affectionate lovebird to full on murderous rage in a second is so good.
    And that thundering voice she pulls out of nowhere. Absolutely terrifying

    "Did that say iPhone, like fake iPhone?"
    Yes. He mentioned in the first episode how he finds it odd that her texts say they are coming from an iPhone, but he knows for a fact that she doesn't have an iPhone. Suggesting that she is actually typing it in manually to make her phone seem better than it is. I love the little detail of her getting worse and worse at typing that iPhone in bit as her sanity spirals.

    When Martha was sat out there at the bus stop descending into staring and crying, it's a tactic to cause sympathy, and it worked. It's one of the tactics lots of stalkers use to manipulate.

      It’s not fake. She’s a narcissist and they go into this mode when they’re rejected and have no choice but to face their real vs. false self. Many psychologists on UA-cam have analyzed this show.

      Well, she's delusional so she's actually crying and feels like she's been rejected.

    I too was telling him to go to the police, but it is incredibly difficult to get them to take stalking seriously, so some people just don't do it and try to fix it themselves. Sometimes with a disastrous result. It's a difficult situation. Going to the police can anger the stalker, and if the police don't act the victim is left even more vulnerable.

      Going to police isnt easy especially if you think it is your fault. I didn't go to the police for awhile because I was scared, thought it was my fault because I also made mistakes and when some of my friends find it funny and make jokes about it I didn't think it was worth going. When I (female from the uk) finally went to the police, even though he sent me 40+ nasty filthy texts a day sometimes using false names and phones they told me they couldn't do anything. I was left feeling so alone and scared for my life. I ended up moving to the otherside of the country stopping my phone and social media for years. He knew where I lived and I was worried I would wake up with him standing over me, didn't sleep well. He would also tell me he was in or around my village which crippled me. it interfered with everything even now years later. I am a little wiser and warier of people but now I have a new life and new friends and am OK. Watching baby reindeer has made me reflect. thank you for your reaction it is exactly what I needed my friends to think and say at the time. EVERYONE BE CAREFUL WHO YOU LET IN

      @SpicyGreeboSurprise what an absolutely awful thing to have happened to you. I am so glad things are better for you now, even though you had many sacrifices to make to get to where you are. It can be very difficult to see who is safe to allow into our lives and who isn't, especially when if we have a tendency towards being empathetic, but your advice to be cautious is exactly right. Unfortunately some people prey on empathy and trust and, whilst recognising our own mistakes, we should blame those people who do just that. It is very sad that you didn't get the support you needed, but I am glad you had the strength to do what you did and successfully get out of the situation. I wish you well for the future.

    Asking someone why it took them so long to come forward is not a good question because it implies that because they didn’t report it right away even if they have evidence the seriousness of the current situation is treated with less urgency. That doesn’t make the police more qualified they’re just another person who knows a story.

    The scene where donny takes her home is my favorite scene in the entire show. The song was absolutely perfect and ties nicely to the ending of the show too. Such a depressing scene. The ending doubles down on that part so much

  • @SevenEllen
    @SevenEllen 2 місяці тому +14

    The real Donny Dunn is apparently better comedy-wise than what you see here when he's onstage. He's said in interviews that, here, he's creating anti-comedy. I don't know what his actual type of humor is, personally.

    If i was on Donnies situation then i would called for a welfare check as soon as the bus stop camping begun, but that's what nice about this show is that it displays that different people will take different actions when they are being abused and that it deconstructs the myth of the "perfect victim"
