Also, it's absolutely crazy to me how MBT is able to talk so professionally and constructively about the game in the flick of a light switch, it feels like. Anyways, see y'all next year.

I wouldn't really trust masterduelmeta when it comes to gauging an archetype's power . MDmeta's ratings are assigned by DK by looking at data collected during his tournaments , which is fun and good , but it does not take into account the facts that said tournaments follow a Bo3 scenario ( whereas MD itself is Bo1 ) with side-decking and stuff allowed AND Dkayed sometimes handcrafts custom banlists for them ( such as the no Ishizu tournament ) ; the sample of people ( and of decks / archetypes ) taking part into the tournament also being much smaller than the reality of MD's ladder . As such , I do not feel like the collected data is actually representative of the real Master Duel ladder situation . I get that uninformed-Joe goes to the site , monkey brain sees Tear holding a huge score cause Bo3 and vast popularity giving it ample tournament representation , assumes Tear is just that omega broken ( and sure , we all know it's a stupidly strong archetype )...and decides to make the deck himself or counter it as hard as possible...but the truth is...in a Bo1 scenario with pre- / semi-limited cards Ishtear does not have the option to side-deck , does not know what it's gonna face , it's obviously gonna tech vs meta ( aka other Tear players ) and as such is very vulnerable to shit such as D fissure , shifter , Necrovalley , ecc... which are often enough to net the other player a win and move up the ladder . At the same time , other decks which are likely as strong as Tear such as Spright or Bystial-Branded ( all of which apparently have a 53-54% average winrate according to the data collected by MD itself and by Konami and which you can view during replays by looking at what's the % of winning of decks playing "x" archetype specific card , using Blue and idk...Aluber as samples ) simply go on almost unbothered cause everyone's too busy looking at MDmeta .
i really like watching people play decks that they know well and enjoy playing, especially if they're this good at explaining how and why they're doing what they're doing
Gotta say I love these last couple tournament vids where you explain the decks deeper plays while doing it. I've been playing a year and a half and I only just learned from this vid when to ash hero.
