Love to hear your childhood stories which explain why you have such a passion to make ‘Ken I Make It’ videos consistently, persistently and continuously.
Honestly, I think it’s those thin black lines that REALLY make the 2-D illusion look as good as it does. It REALLY makes it look like an animated cartoon drawing.
To fix the torso problem I would recommend putting the belt above the waist swivel instead of below it. It gives him that squater look Wolverine is known for and helps with the overall balance of blue and yellow on the costume.
While I may not personally not like cel shading on figures I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t good. Looks amazing. Also with the unmasked cowl piece, it was made for a different body so it doesn’t sit right on any wolverine body
DUDE! You must be a psychic or something cause, just the other day, i was wondering if you would tackle the X-Men 97 characters, and now here we are! I'm already loving it! 🎉🎉🎉
The X-Men 97' wolverine is my favorite marvel legends figure in my collection, the cell shading really improved the figure hope to see more Cartoon figures on your channel.
Ken, you can fix that pulled down mask by heating it up with a hair dryer(I do) or boiling water. Once it's good and flimsy/floppy, set it back down on the figure and press/hold it down to your desired flushness. From there, you can either hit it with a compressed air can(I do) or just wait five minutes for it to cool down.
I have used matte varnish through an airbrush to apply a dead flat look before. You need higher pressure and the cleanup is difficult but it works. It takes a little bit of a delicate touch as too many thin coats look dusty and a thick coat looks satin. Be sure to wear a mask not inhale any varnish particulates.
Great work! He looks straight out of the cartoon! If you feel the torso is too long, try positioning the belt higher up, it will make him look more stumpy!
Nice job……it looks just like a cut from cartoon!😉 Cel-shading is not an easy thing, especially keeping looking natural.🤔 By the way, you inspired me to add shading on my retro-card moonknight!😊
Hey bud this came out great especially the un masked head i love it .. i got the original cell shaded figure and added more to ti them ... Jubilee storm and wolverine .. i have some shorts up with i images
Another great video but I really hate cel-shading addition, it makes the figure looks bad. Action figures are 3D representation of 2D artworks, so turning it back to resemble the 2D is kinda pointless IMO. Anyways, this figure is ripe for hyper-detailing like adding black paint to the eye brows, enhancing the body hair on the arms and chin, fixing the skin tone, replacing the claws with metal parts, and removing the plastic sheen with matte paint. I really want to start doing this.
I want to argue a few points here. 1. You argue that AI isn’t creative. I ask, are humans? There’s a psychological question of whether or not humans have real ideas. Can you think of a new color? No, they all exist already. Every “original” idea is based on another idea, literally the EXACT same way that AI works. Sharknado is just jaws and natural disaster movies with a comedic spin. The mcu is just comic adaptations with slight changes. Is AI plagiarism? Absolutely. So is humanity. Ideas are meant to be shared and built on. 2. Yes it’s bad right now but so was the internet. All AI does is what the internet or Google did in its infancy where it wasn’t fully developed yet. It gathers information, combines it and shares it. It’s the same thing that societies have been doing for decades. Was it bad that Europe came together and formed a bunch of different ideas, stole them and slightly altered them to create whole cultures? Things like French cuisine is great but it’s taken and altered from things like Austrian cuisine or Italian cuisine (I believe, my history could be wrong but even as a what if, this works) 3. It’s a tool. Just like everything else. Do artists personally gather the materials and create the canvas, gathering the dyes to create paints? No not often. They go out and buy the tools and use them. Did animation die as soon as computers started doing animation or cgi? No there’s great creative use of it in many situations. What’s different from an artist no longer getting the wood for their brush, and an artist no longer individually making the strokes? The artist trades out the effort it takes for convenience. I don’t see any difference between this and an artist typing into chatGPT or something hey paint me a beautiful sunset using an orange color that fades into red, it can even use hex codes for colors. It’s creativity through description. It’s writing. Which is art in itself. The only difference is we aren’t used to it yet.

Thank you for sharing the skills of cel-shading! Ken’s videos actually are free painting lessons.
It’s a marvellous upgrade of figure with cel-shading added. It makes the figure look cooler. Great job!

Ken's video was posted up. I have been waiting to watch it for the whole night. ☺️
This looks great! Imagine what the other x men would look like with Ken’s magic touch and paint brush!
This oone looks like the 1/6 Mondo one. Which is a big compliment, Cell-shaded is awesome when done right
this might be one of your best works! I mean you managed to do a better cel-shading even than hasbro itself
The Logan face really sells the cell shade motif. Loved the outcome
Thanks to you i finally got the chance to customize a black panther marvel legends and im so proud of it i like your videos
Im collecting the whole series of Xmen 97 action figures and thought about doing the same. Awesome job! I’m bookmarking this vid.
Looks absolutely amazing, this specific figure holds a very key place in my heart, so it’s cool to see it changed without having to risk my one!

The opening is sending me!!😂😂😂
Love love love how you do animated figures , this looks way better than the VHS one I have !!

Beautiful work it looks better than the 1/6 scale one by mondo
Matt varnish works fine to remove shine from the plastic, no need to sand. I use polyurethane varnish, it’s much more resista!
You absolutely killed it 🤝 and I wish they did sculpt in the pointy eyes that you created by extending the white paint, looks more menacing
dude this is sick
💚Looks perfect .
You could try putting the cowel in hot water to reshape into a more feting shape for the body

Simply amazing 👍🏼
I got the new Cyclops. I plan on painting it up, but in Jim Lee style, with the black cross hatching.
I feel mixed on cel shading but the way you did it looks really appealing to the eye
Looks amazing
This looks amazing! Great work
Mr. Super Smooth Clear Matt is your best bet for a supermatte finish spray. That stuff's wonderful.
Probably my favorite so far
Got my popcorn here
Great work! He looks straight out of the cartoon! If you feel the torso is too long, try positioning the belt higher up, it will make him look more stumpy!
Good job! You've really improved in cel-shading
Perfect
Amazing work! Hasbro needs you fr
Perfection
BEAUTIFUL!
Pretty sure that Marvel Legend had a Cel-Shaded Wolverine before, hope that you may take a look as well
I feel like Ken is downplaying how AWESOME that unmasked sculpt looks now
Very clean looking great video dude 👊
You should make his claws purple just like when gambit powers them up
A job well done!!
Looks like mondo one
It looks so much better....Maybe Hasbro did it on purpose to not have too much detail so fans can play with the designs more....
Nice job……it looks just like a cut from cartoon!😉
Cel-shading is not an easy thing, especially keeping looking natural.🤔
By the way, you inspired me to add shading on my retro-card moonknight!😊
❤❤wooow beautiful work my guy!!!!Please do a jean grey!!if you dare😂😂has to be tricky!!has to be😮💨🎨👍🏾💯
Looks great! It'd be nice if Hasbro's attempts came out more like this
That new Daredevil they're doing looks pretty scuffed
Awesome painting Ken, consider me subscribed. I hope you do the rest of the figures too
Are you getting rest of the x men figures . It would be awesome if you did all of them
Yes you ken
He ken make it
bro, should get hired to make action figures.
The belt hangs too low for me. Hopefully, I can reposition it on my copy, to make it more on par with the VHS copy.
What about chrome or metallic silver on the claws
Hey bud this came out great especially the un masked head i love it .. i got the original cell shaded figure and added more to ti them ... Jubilee storm and wolverine .. i have some shorts up with i images
Are you making Gambit?
Is that like sand paper you use to scrub the paint off or ?
YOO W
Dios santo pero esto esta mejor que el vhs
Es como un loco fantasioso

can you fix the new ben reily figuire to look like from atsv
Namek SS Goku cel-shading when?
Dude works for mondo
You made the character feel like he's bigger than 6 inches
what was that gladiator hulk?
Don't people hate cell shading on Xmen figures? I saw someone trying to get it off with nail polish remover
the belt is wrong placed, you have to put it where the other half of the figure starts
What figures is this
Swimming against the current lol
Ken I buy it or Ken you make one for me?
kinda funny cus this figure was so popular because it had no cel-shading LMAO
and you said you didnt know how to add cel shading…
When they give Cel Shading, people wanna remove it. When they give normal coloring, they wanna give Cel-Shading... I am so confused lol
