    🤔 question of the day - does this tofu press have the features you're looking for? and is this something you think you'd give a try? lmk in the comments!

    I know people are stating the price is ridiculous on multiple sites for this product, but I see it as quality over quanity. I was looking at it online and debating between this one and another made of bamboo. This Ninja press isn't made of plastic, easy to clean, made in the USA, and will last a long time. Thank you very much for going over it. 😁

      Thank you so much, Zachary! I agree, it should always be quality over quantity. Haha! So, are you going to buy it already? Lol.

    $105.00 for a tofu press is crazy. I like that it's not plastic, but it is far from reasonably priced.

      oh wow , i thought okay a 50$ press would be a good investment but 100? they are literally scamming for a square press .

    Thank you! I wanted to buy this as a gift for my mother but the price is so high, I wanted to make sure it was worth the cost. None of the pictures online show the inside of the device so it was nice to see it taken apart and used. I wish I could afford to get one for myself.

      Glad that I could help and this was a good investment for me because I cook (and eat) tofu a lot!

      @@alldayieatlikeashark I did end up buying one for my mom and I'm hoping that will inspire her to buy me one =)

    I need this! I've been using plates for so long

    What is the largest size of grocery store tofu it can effectively press? 14 ounces, 16 ounces? I've been looking everywhere on the Raw Rutes website, social media, and other people's reviews for dimensions and no one seems to have them, which is the main reason I'm hesitant about going for it.

      @@alldayieatlikeashark Thinking about it. I currently have one of the ones you have to turn the knobs every few min to press. Would love something I could just set and go run errands and come back to it. But this one is $100 and I spent $20 on my current so struggling with that. ;)

      Seems like an effective, straightforward device, but I don’t see myself paying $100 if that’s the cost. Thanks for the vid. It was helpful.

    How long did you press the tofu to get the 1/4 cup of liquid?

  • @sallylim5813

    Can I press less than a full block of tofu or will a small piece get squished by the heavy weight? I sometimes only need 1/4 or 1/2 block at a time.

    • @alldayieatlikeashark
      @alldayieatlikeashark  4 роки тому

      I think it will work just don't put too much weight on it if you need to keep the shape for slicing it to smaller cubes. How do you drain excess water from your tofu before?

    • @sallylim5813

      @@alldayieatlikeashark To drain tofu, I set a flat heavy dish on top of it. I always prepare one serving at a time, so I only use 1/4 block of tofu. The stainless steel Ninja press that weighs 4 lbs. cannot be adjusted, so it would probably crush a small piece of tofu. With a whole block, the pressure would be distributed over a larger surface. So I think the dish method is best for me.

    • @alldayieatlikeashark
      @alldayieatlikeashark  4 роки тому

      That's also a good method, especially for the amount of tofu that you use. You can also microwave it if you want to drain it faster. Thank you for sharing your experience.
