Wondering if we should use rocks for quarantine that are not “porous”, so other pests don’t get in as well. Maybe use rocks like branch rock? Things with less crevices.
The 2 corals on the bottom left side of the tank are space invader pectinia (green and yellow) and the other is Caulastrea also know as candy cane coral.
So sorry to hear about your loss. I’m not big on quarantine either. I will miss Morticia, your clownfish. I always thought that was a cool name, lol. Your tanks are beautiful!
Broooo…I’m the same way. Super against quarantine. Due to the time/upkeep and the fact it stresses the fish out… Anyways, I got a new fish, drip acclimated him, dropped him in the tank, and one week later he nuked the tank with velvet… I’ve got my new system coming at the end of the month, so my current fluval 13.5 will turn into my quarantine. Glad you still got your system running.
That tank looks absolutely superb. Makes sense to observe the fish as a toss up between observation and treatment. Makes sense to observe for a period of time👍🏻
I prefer to have the option of observing then- since many times they have been in copper for a week or two prior at the lfs to avoid adding more stress
Dude, hi from brazil. Around here we are used to take out all of fishes so the parasites doesnt host anything for 3 months. after that period we can be sure that the parasite life cycle has ended And its safe to add Fish again to the tank.
You had an established yellow tang in there. Then put a purple in their. Dude. Take the sand out the quarantine tank aswell. That's bad news. Reef looks great
I quarantine always for at least 3 months, I will not but my main display at risk under any circumstances that goes for my corals too in another set up.
If it was me I would put that tang in your quarantine tank with copper solution. The ich will just multiply and eat the fish alive till its dead. I keep all my new purchased fish in mild copper solution at half recommended dose for a month.. beautiful tank btw and goodluck!
Digging the video and tank bro. Subscribed ! Keep doing what you do 💯
Cj 🔥
Is best to have that qt sandless. Due to copper building up.
Agreed!
THANKS FOR THE SHOUT OUT BRO!!!! Sorry to hear about the fish but definitely excited to see what makes it in the new adventure!
Let’s go!!!!!!
Just got a frag of GMKs. Best date requirements ? Flow light ?
Low light medium flow- and make sure they don’t get infection.
@@ZoaTankBoyz how do you prevent infection good flow?

Yes I agree- I will
Be modifying this qt soon
How long was the reef tank without fish? Should have waited at least 8 weeks before returning the fish back to the aquarium.
Sorry to hear about your loss. Everyone eventually learns the quarantine lesson. Keep moving forward.
Lesson learned lol not funny
How can you tell the difference between the grand master Krack and predators??? they seem similar
I've read that QT tanks aren't suppose to have sand in it and just keep PVC pipe and no rock. Why do you have yours the way that it is?
He probably put sand for the Wrasse. But I agree should have none.
Wrasses! And I had some gobies!
Sorry about your fish loss. Despite all that your still optimistic. The tank looks amazing 👍🏾
Gotta stay positive! Thanks!!!!!
Question, anyone know the name of zoas with the blue middle, green, then orange. On the bottom right side of the tank? Tank looks incredible!
Beautiful build. What are the names of the two bright yellow coral front left?
The 2 corals on the bottom left side of the tank are space invader pectinia (green and yellow) and the other is Caulastrea also know as candy cane coral.
@@jtdr2023 Thank you! They are beautiful and give some nice contrast. 🤙
How do you keep your sand so clean?
Diamond goby!
Are you running a UV sterilizer?
I am
Not- however not against it
can’t wait to see what you do with that torch garden !! Sick !
🔥🔥🔥
Everyone learns the hard way brotha. Don’t worry it happens to everyone.

Little secret! I had Gomez n morticia in a nano tank coincidentally they never where in the tank 😂 still Alive!!!!!!!🙌

Thanks ! From now on all fish go in quarantine!

If you are having good luck with gonis you should get the goldenstate wonderland Goni!
With gonis sky is the limit!
Love the new tank! One of these days I’ll get a purple tang.
They are beautiful!
Always look forward to your videos
Thank you!

Thanks! The reason I had the sand was for some
Wrasses !
@@ZoaTankBoyz different sized pvc pipes with the one end blocked off will do the job bud

Great looking tank by the way
Thanks !

Sorry for your loss of your fish, it seem like you like your Innovative Marine tank, a lot better than the Red Sea, your tank look awesome.
I do! I love the dimensions! Thanks!
@@ZoaTankBoyz is the build quality is good and is it better than the R/S
I would remove the sand .. the sand is holding the parasite for ich. You'll be getting ich all the time now. Especially when the fish are stressed.
Feed him powder ginger for the white spot there are videos on UA-cam about it I tried it and it works
Nadie diría que se te han muerto los peces, en el saludo del video parece que estás hasta contento. Por lo menos podías haberte ahorrado eso.
Guessing you didn't go fallow. It is a pain in the ass to qt everything wet coral etc
Tang is doing much better now- one tang in a 150 gallon tank is ok
That pectina though….
Take the sand out of your QT. One of the life cycles of ick, they drop off of the fish and live in the sand! That is why you probably still have ick..
Good call - I only did that because I had a couple wrasses and gobies at the time!
Tut tut
Tanks too small for that tang bro.
Your animals die and you start the video like if won the lottery? Don't you think that are quite exaggerated the presentations of your videos?
