I called them and just returned it they sent me all the custom paperwork since I live in Canada . they sent me another one no questions asked . Real nice people .
I have friends that use this box and I was going to get one because it's great, but when I went to their site I found a newer box, the Ultimate Flex and I just ordered that one. Looking forward to getting it. The unit has 32 configurable controls and comes with a bunch of pre-printed labels. It's on sale for US buyers $160.
Looks great and well said. I recommend Trackir to get rid of you having to use the arrows to see around. It attaches to your head and moves when your head does. It’s another great product

I'm loving it! No issues to report. This box freed up many of the keys on the Bluetooth 10 key number pad which now houses all my views and one or two Route advisor inputs. Nice tight set up on desk.
I wish this video had been out at the time I decided to go with ASP for my button box last October. I went with ASP, despite the 2-month wait, because there were no video reviews on the Sim-Panel. Thanks for the video.
Crazy, over a year later ASP is still a 17 week wait for their basic box. I think their downfall is also one of their strengths, the customizability. You can order them with different face plates and air brake switches. That must be what's slowing them down so much. I'm trying to get a box before the Montana DLC releases, so it looks like I'll be getting the Simpanel.

ASP is obviously a good unit as so many use it; the wait time for delivery is the issue. Yeah, Sim-Panel should make a heavy push unless they don't want to be overwhelmed, which could the the case as a small player.

Thank you for watching! You'll love this box. To set custom button colors: Turn Key all the way to the Right and HOLD for a second or two. Release key back to 'position 2'. Now; all light labels are flashing. Press each individual button to rotate through the color selection stopping at the one you prefer. Once you have it set; turn key back full left. Lights stop flashing and are set at custom colors.

My question is, when using this button box for the air supply system… When you have the tractor air supply button pushed in and do an air leaks test by pumping the brakes repeatedly until the air supply gauge drops to zero or down to less then 45 psi, *Will the button box actually pop out the tractor air supply valve? like it does in a real truck! I’m curious about using this box as a real simulation for our CDL school for demonstrating the air leaks test
I can't even get red trailer brake button to work for the trailer brake. But I noticed every time I push it in or out. It moves the black lever behind the steering wheel yet I have it set up to be what its initially supposed to be which is trailer brake. But it doesn't do nothing.
@@Venkman29 it's for the parking brake when you for instance hit r for the airbrake that's what it is it's to lock the brakes so you don't roll Use the red button in place of the R on the keyboard for the brake

Someone on here mentioned there running real automatic. Curious as to what buttons you setup to be your forward, Neautral & reverse. I'm currently on simple automatic but really want to go to real automatic but trying to figure out if it will work for me using the 2 top buttons that's actually on my wheel if it'll let me. Or use the keyboard buttons to change to & from. Because leaving it in simple automatic with using air brake simulation I find myself getting into issues with pressure always dropping on me because brake acts as reverse as well as break & pressure don't like that setup & drops faster then if I had separate way of going into reverse.

I have one of those my self and the red button is for the trailer break and you pull that to engage the trailer break and how did you turn each label a different color???
Double check your instructions...maybe yours's doesn't? But on mine.... (Not in game but button box lights ON) Turn and HOLD key at furthest right turn and hold until the lights start flashing. You can then release the key. The simply press each/any button to cycle through the aprox 6 colors stopping at the desired color. When done, turn key back left. Remember the rotary buttons also press in and the "Panel Lights" button turns off the button box lights...I turn them off when not in use.

You mentioned you use a keypad for looking up, down and around. You really should get yourself a Track-ir. A must have for any driving sim. It will make your iracing and truck driving experience so much better.
I have one and just can't get used to it. I'm better with the Truck but iRacing no go...I turn the direction I'm looking, lol. iRacing a quarter second look left blip is all I need if that.
@@StudioDaVeed it takes some practice, once you set up the sensitivity maps its waaaay smoother. E.G. I added a decent deadband by making it non-linear especially near the center. Also what helps is having multiple monitors. Either that or you have a monitor that moves around with you haha.

The buttons all function as you'd expect from similar buttons/switches in other applications. Knobs like stereo knobs and toggles like any other toggle switch. The push buttons are actually deeper than you might think but makes them feel really sturdy vs a soft push button. Face plate can not be switched out. As ordered; labels are laser printed on the face plate so really you could print out your own and appropriately attach them. ;)

I run automatics and just use buttons. If you want to clutch and shift; many use the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. That can get hairy in a turn I hear!
Yeah... I ordered an STG gear jammer 5 months ago on what was supposed to be a 3-month turnaround. That guy is in way over his head and has no business sense. I'm about to cancel my order for a refund and find another shifter knob option.
Build you shifter it's really not that hard. I built mine the only thing I struggled on was programming the arduino micro.but mine cost me bout 50.00 to build. There couple UA-cam videos. Good luck on shifter. Sim panel has there shifter on sale for 116.0 usd. Good luck
Wait if the buttons come back out does that mean your lights turn off because driving a school bus I would use it for my warning light then opene the door how would it work
Each button is 'one way' - so on a school bus sim to activate warning light - you would set a button to open - pressing that button again would close the door. Same with the doors. You could set doors or warning lights on the air brake knobs - in to activate - out to shut off...but then you'd have no air brake switch. Your other comment to customize the button text doesn't show - the text is set - you can change it.

I would imagine the buttons would act as any key press in any game that was mapped. My Bluetooth 10 key key pad is mapped differently for ATS and iRacing so the button box should work with any other game with different mapping.
Ok, there are no drivers - it's plug and play. Another viewer had a damaged unit. Contact the company - the other viewer reported instant customer support response and had a functioning unit sent. But double check and make sure you're using a USB 3.0 port. I know many PCs have limited 3.0 ports and 'everyone' says use it for their hardware - but switch things around and see what happens. That's not for the air supply, it's not modelled. You can map it to that function , but it would be quite unrealistic I think.

I use simple auto too - but my wheel has paddle levers, I would shift with them.
