I love the Chinese films and series and I especially admire Bai Lu and Zhang Linghe. That they have fallen in love I think is wonderful and I find it appalling that Zhang's studio disapproves. If this kind of pressure continues by the studios I will consider stopping watching many Chinese series. I also promote Chinese dramas to my friends, and I have convinced many of them to watch the dramas here in Belgium. Let lovers alone. I'm a fan of Bailu and one fan who would be very happy if she announces she's in a relationship, actually even hoping that she's in a relationship now. But a false relationship rumor doesn't do it, a dating rumor which was a product of misunderstanding and marketing. This dating rumor had been clarified, but it seems people don't like the truth but rather stick to the narrative that best suits them. Firstly, Linghe and Her are/were friends, it's not the first time she has been visited by her male friends and friends in general or she visiting them and hanging out with them when she's less busy, and sometimes the drama casts would hangout at each others place, because the other costar back then mentioned in their interview that whenever she was rumored to have been having a private dinner with Linghe, the other casts were also there. And from the official statement to correct this rumour, it was stated that the apartment complex was a place actors stayed in when filming in Hengdian and the blocks have the same layout. Also there was no concrete proof that the house she entered was Linghe's house. When she films in Hengdian, her parents come over and spends some days at her place, it has always been like that. And It was indeed refuted by her and her boss that she was single. A video of her making a heart sign? To whom exactly, Linghe? Where can I see this video?. So far every other so called proof of dating are all speculations from CP fans, as there really wasn't any solid proof, because all the so called proofs could easily be said with her interactions with her other male friends. Also If according to the so-called dating rumors that they dated, how can they suddenly break up after their drama promotions ended and the drama had aired? It's different saying you support your fav dating, and believing whatever dating rumor that is said about her and then go "I support your relationship" (pretending to be the non toxic fan, when you're actually not any different from a toxic fan) even after she's said she's single? And then the excuse people give is "even after refuting the rumor they could still be dating", then that means you don't understand the character of your fav and don't fully grasp the negative effect of the dating rumor on your faves career. Please don't jump on dating rumors except confirmed if you're really a fan, don't even spread it unless it is confirmed.
If there has been an official confirmation by her and her partner, then there won't be any need to be against it, because then you're just being toxic. But if she hasn't yet confirmed her relationship there are reasons, it's either she's not in one or she doesn't think it's something she'd want to share. BaiLu is not careless at least from what I've observed, so if that clip was taken, it means there's really nothing for her to hide, and if she was trying to confirm her relationship she would have simply confirmed it herself. So you can choose to believe anything else, your cup of tea.
