no android? fail
yea its a niche market without android.
not exactly uncommon for an app to hit iphone first.
Mike N ireland yep and it's even removed from Apple app store now
Android is a fail
Vzar is a horrible name...
3 suit guys and Peter in his goodwill clothes..too funny.
silver pools LMFAO😂😭😭😭😭😪😭😭😥😥😪😭😂😂😂
I would Try it! But I need it on Android...
get a real phone
pete asks a question, everyone answers at once.
Yha. Talk about noobs.
That's kinda what I was thinking too. I had to stop watching.
Yeah, it’s like a male version of the View. A bunch of women talking over each other
The merchandise at my Goodwill store looks like abandoned property of the homeless.
I rarely find anything worth buying. The last item I bought was an electronics book from 1959 written by the founder of Heath Electronics. Most of the electronics are lower grade or broken. Forget about finding any vintage items.
same here
Ditto, where I live they send all of the good products to Colorado Springs, and keep the crap up here. If that's not bad enough they jack up the price on the left junk.
Same here. They had a rusted bread pan priced at 3 dollars.
Ron Helton I Agree... nothing but junk, even for fba selling. I'm hitting up the yard sales this year for vintage. I do ok with Goodwill's clothing tho.
And they have their own auction site for the collectibles that they pull.
My husband would love this with cars. He can listen to an engine and know if it's worth going to look further.
It looks good on you, nice sweater. thanks for the video
We resellers make money because we are willing to do the work other people are not. We stay up till all hours of the night taking photos, writing descriptions, packing items, etc. We source our products from other people who "can't be bothered". Any technology that is going to make it easier for the owner of an item to sell said item direct to a buyer does not bode well for us. You've heard the expression "cut out the middleman"? Well my dear reselling friends, we ARE the middlemen and this app is only going to serve to cut us out.
Better step up your game, cupcake!
P Jones That's my point "cupcake". We do the dirty work others don't want to do. Any device, service, etc that makes the job easier is only going to help flood the market. It's that little supply-demand thing you may recall from ECON class.
ABOUT TIME!!!!!!! GAME CHANGER!!! I'm a Ebay seller and will list on vZar soon!!!
I love this idea have used it for years on facebook!
THIS IS A START UP AND THE GUY IS WEARING A GOLD WATCH AND HAS A MACBOOK,
DONT GET ME STARTED THESE GUYS ARE MORONS, THERE ARE TEN OF THESE SAME NEW APPS THAT WILL NEVER MAKE IT
maybe your parents should've tried harder and you wouldn't be stuck with your casio.
P Jones vzar is already dead less than a year later
and they speak like a bunch of children tbh, they remind me of babies trying to wear adult clothes, no legitimate business person would take them even remotely seriously, lmao.
The whole Quick! FAST! GO! GO! GO! is the wrong approach . You need the app to describe the product with audio and moving visuals . VZAR should have still pictures and plus video of the product in working order . Sellers think and think and contemplate . With the audio/video option it will increase confidence in the transaction on both sides .
Video is perfect and lets you show so much more. I use it all the time on eBay. If a picture says a 1000 words, a video says 1,000,000. Gonna take a lot of marketing $$ to really get it out there, hope it blows up.
Garage Flips how can you add a video on an eBay listing?
That is a good idea that they have cause sometimes you need video to show that the item works. Thanks for sharing let us know when they are up and running.
Pete, your genius!! I will patiently wait for the Android app for sure! I'm a full time reseller and I hate to say I hate taking video just to embedded in UA-cam just to get it over to Ebay. So I'm gonna save up on my goodies that have working moving parts. Thanks for sharing this!
looks good on you...I found a pretty nice coat the other day for score of 2 dollars....my size so i will keep it
Always amazed at the Goodwill price differences between the East and West coast. I live in Oregon and some of those shoes would be going for at least 14.99.
Great idea, poor planning and projections. Had they done the correct market research they would have saved themselves a year and a half of work. All of the big names are bringing video to their platforms, and because there's nothing proprietary about video, there's no stopping companies like Facebook, Craigslist, and Ebay by filing a patent.
Unfortunately, I think you're late to the table and that they will bury you with their brand recognition, user base, and nearly unlimited advertising and research and development budgets.
whoa
Jason Robinson not to mention the horrible haircut on everyone.
I actually thought of this idea a year ago as well but I think the big players like you said have bigger pocket that can promote this faster than somone with limited funding
This is mindblowing!! Will be interesting to see there pay program, questioning security. But hey Kijiji, etc is pay safe in person.
Mary Lou Grabowsky millennials are the worst generation yet! By far!!
Those other apps will add video soon and so will Ebay.
I already include videos on Ebay for certain items. It's to complement the written description though, not to take the place of it.
My comment on ebay was was that the videos we'd upload would be hosted on ebay's platform just like the pictures we upload.
The Picking Pair yeah it shouldn't be too hard for them to do it
True. eBay, LetGo, OfferUp, and the other apps could easily implement video as well. Other than that, competition is always good. It forces these companies to think, strategize, and innovate.
YOUR TOO OLD AND STUPID HAHAHAH
that's awesome!!!! I will download this now
i like the name, quick and stands out
vZar for life - i need this; great idea vZar guys;
Pete thanks for letting us know
Very good Pete!
Will check it out when on Android.
This seems like an exact copy of vzaar, the video hosting site launched in 2007 by former eBay employees. I'm not an intellectual property rights attorney, but your vZar may be in violation. Either way, I don't personally need video hosting to sell items online. Aside from being awfully close to a 10 year old idea, less than 0.01% of apps become successful. Hopefully they only paid you for your exposure and you didn't invest in the app. I can't see this one going anywhere. Thank you for the Goodwill portion of the video Pete, thumbs down on the vZar pitch.
You are a futurist Pete, thank you.
Wow, cool shoe haul!!!!
Yes, Vzar is a kick ass name, one that would come to mind readily!!!!
Can't wait to see how it works!!!!!
Great idea!!!!!
Can't wait for it to come out for the Android!!!
Good going guys!!!
Thanks Pete for sharing!!!
I have though of this long ago but just figured E bay could give the seller an option to do a video description on what they're selling .
Very innovative! New ideas, forward thinkers are the ideas of the future. People thought Craigs List was dumb because why would you need it when the newspapers had the classified ads. Look at the growth of Craigs List. Good IDEA!
Love, love, love the app itself & platform, however the name itself, dunno. Associating it with a selling/buying platform didn't catch my brain immediately. I was trying to figure out what it meant ( finally landed on the word bizaar, like a church bizaar/sale). Just my thoughts ~ best of luck!!
Heather awful name
Great concept that I am sure all resellers have all thought about. Bravo to them for putting it into action. How long before existing platforms jump on the bandwagon though..
That's a $30 - $50 Illini hat with the chief Pete - nice score 👍
Thanks for the informative video. I tried to upload it on my iphone. But, it comes back with an error message. I will keep trying.
Thank you for sharing your adventure. I recently bought my first piece of electronics based upon your inspirations. It's a car CD player that I picked up at GW for $6. They sell for ~ $50. I will have to learn how to test this sort of gadget. If you ever need an apprentice, just let me know, lol! I'm sure that would fast track the learning curve! Thanks, again,
Jillie
Just downloaded the app. About to share on social, need to get this ball rolling for these guys. This is an amazing and easy app to sell.
Not wash used clothes before you wear them? :o
Great name, I have downloaded the app and will use it soon I hope.
Great platform it seems like! I would love to try it out. A little advice to Vzar though... curb your enthusiasm. It may appear unprofessional to some.
Great find on the hat. Like new stuff with the Chief is getting pretty hard to find. Go Illini!
VZar perfect video bizarre I got it immediately will not forget it. and begin,
Good idea these guys will get big eventually. I make videos for my ebay items all the time and they sell super fast
Mo Naw. less than a year later vzar died
Downloaded - will give it a try 🌝
That Brooks Brothers looks like the "Country Club" Line....little bit higher up.
If they could use this in video like Mercari platform. The Shipping platform and way it is all set up would be phenomenal
OK I downloaded it on my phone. Looks OK, but will probably have to wait til it is mainstream before it can do us some good. Thanks for showing us !!
At $5-6 a pair I would have passed on every pair of those shoes with the exception of the Bass Weejuns.
Also may I suggest to these guys that you have a sign up link on their website, so when it hits android we get an email. Other wise most of us are gonna forget all about it
Saw you had the DePop app. How have your clothing sales been on there? I sell a bit on there.
The name sucks
It's the worst.
What if you're looking for a specific item? will the title be spelled out and be searchable?
change the name.
VSELL, not VZAR. VSELL, VSELL, VSELL, VSELL, VSELL!
VSELL for Resell
Amazing idea!!
Pete, if I saw you video on that app about your watch I would still have questions as citizen eco-drives are worth anywhere between $50 to $5000. You have to add the model number
Name sucks. As a BBA from one of the top business schools in the united states I know a bit about marketing... Snapsell would be WAY better, VidList is just as good. The name is terrible terrible terrible.
Vzar short for Virtual Bazaar? I do like the idea I have installed it will give it a try here in Western WA.
just got it, now we just need more users on there!
Couple things. 1 those guy's clock isn't working. 2 is the guy on the right reminds me of Jean-Ralphio from parks and rec.
I already forgot the name of it. Sounds like something that should have already been around though. If not, I hope they got a patent for it. Seems like they would have been better off licensing out the technology to Craigslist, Offer Up, eBay, etc.
The app has potential. I'll download it and play with it for a while until the shipping and on-line payment get set up.
Wow, it's hard to find Doc's in Cali, they go fast!
You gonna change your name to vZar Hunter now? We all fully expect Dennis and Jimmy to get busted for coke.
Great idea. Now, how do I sort by zip code? Better get back to that drawing board.
what about people gaming the system to post videos advertising their local business?
like a local pizza shop daily posting slices of pizza?
Local businesses already do that on all of the other free selling apps/sites. Not really anything new. Craigslist is especially crowded with bs ads.
Great concept! I love the enthusiasm, its rare to see so much passion in people today. I am sure some people will give you negative feedback, but hey that is the reason you are making this app and they are sitting at home throwing rocks. Keep it up boys!! Thanks for sharing CL
The name and interface need work
Great job fellas! The name needs a little more work but hell it's a start so I'm sure you will improve on the name in the future. Stay persistent fellas!
Great idea for a selling platform, but the name is a bit off, sounds too much like "bizarre" - vZar. I wish them luck. I would sell on it. :)
bazaar, vzar. name isn't bad as a bazaar is a marketplace
eBay use to allow video content on their site and took that capability away for some strange reason years ago. I don't get why they did that because it makes total sense to show the potential customers the video of how the item functions and works. I've been waiting for something like this to pop off. Can't wait to try it on the Android when available.
Correct./ I used to upload a link to an address from a host I purchased space on and included it in my ebay ads back in 1998. You click and it would plaY. i HATE TO SAY THIS BUT EBAY WILL STOMP ON THESE GUYS THE MINUTE THEY SEE A PROFIT IN IT. tHEY WILL SIMPLY HOST A VIDEO LINK FOR YOUR AUCTION.
Hey Peter, just started watching your vids from Resale Rabbit. Love it. Any news about the app?
Want to try it but not on android!
I believe I was told that video will not be allowed on active content on eBay !
I like the concept but the only way I would use it is like offer up not like eBay. I have used videos on eBay before and it is helpful for some items. And it would have much higher traffic if it has Android and computer access. I see some negativity about the name but I don't think it's bad. As soon as I saw the name I kinda got the concept.
I don't know. Doesn't sound like there's enough information, so a lot of people will automatically pass on buying it, OR the seller is going to have to deal with answering a lot of questions. Can't actually check it out though, but that's just my two cents based on seeing you record the watch video.
won't know if it's any good until I see it on Android
Good idea, only issue is eBay will just copy it.
anyone know how to find the locations of the items posted on vZar?
Want it too ...when will it be available for the rest of us????
I like the idea of the new app. Three quick observations:1. Do not like the name. Easily forgettable and does not relate back to what the app is about. 2. I'm not sure how well the less technological sector of our society will be able to use it. I mean let's face it, many people have a hard time just typing basic info on a Craigslist add, now we expect them to know how to record a video from their phone while talking and maneuvering around the item they are selling? 3. However this should be a new source of Comedy material for social media. I can see it now, some guy gets drunk and decides to sell his truck while arguing with his wife about why he has been drinking, and he's stumbling all over the yard, yelling at his kids and his dog......I can't wait to repost crazy adds like this!
It's not available on Google play yet. :(
mail capabilities.... seems like we are limited to local pick up only..correct me if i'm wrong.
Nothing proprietary about the app. Letgo and OfferUp can and video option very easily.
It's like snapchat but for selling. To bad I use Samsung. Tell them to make it available on Android and not only on ios
I really don't see this working. They need to advertise out more outside there own town. Craigslist hunter is there biggest advertiser.
You sound like one of the Vulture staff trolling critical comments with no objective view on your part. Please dump the rest of your parents 401k into this fantastic opportunity, you boys are on to something.
How are you going to search if there is no text?
I think it would work out, if they can integrate Paypal with the app.
This is a great APP for appliances. Also as a buyer I would appreciate at least a 30-Day guarantee.
Is there a way to clean up the soles so they look better? Thanks to the military, I know how to polish, lol!
eBay should have this along time ago
I googled vzar and came up with Vzaar for the uk. Not in in my play store, work on that android app please.
I have a better idea. They should make a Jump to Conclusions Mat. You see it would be this mat that you put on the floor, and would have different conclusions written on it that you could jump too!
Majority of the people with all the negative comments cannot do anything remotely close to what these guys are doing. Its okay to be jealous and feeling that you are no good. In a few months you guys will be using this app to buy stuff.
superstar2000ist dude...we see your picture..we recognize u from the video! lol nice try.
RocketMan Reggie lol I'm not in the video, I don't have the talent to create apps lol, so yeah.
I can't recall the name of the app but this is similar to a guest (he had new app) Nichole State & Mike Reezy did a video on does same thing as this app. But again no android app. For sure will check it out when they get it for android
I think I love that name VZAR. I think this will be big
VidBay........if you use it I want a small cut
Awesome concept. I also run android, so it doesn't help. While they are working on their app, tell them to fix the clock on the wall! :)
sounds really cool. I also run android.
Wow, great prices at the GW in IL, here in the twin cities figure at least double, more likely triple those prices. And if its a collectible (anything old/good), it goes to their online auction :-/
great idea but CHANGE THE NAME , GOTTA HAVE ANDROID, no one wants to pat $900 bucks for a i phone anymore
I am on Android. Do a google search on which platform is the leader of the pack. What I see is 20% iOS & 80% Android. You say exciting..........I'm not excited
About to have a meeting bru! Lol
Damn shame, It's June and still no Android version, not what I call soon.
it's a must for android
I like guys .All the luck in the world ;-)
It' not in the Google Play Store a year later
