- The Central Government swung into action soon after the Modi 3.0 Government was formed on June 09. HM Amit Shah on June 17 to review the situation in Manipur as violence has gripped the state since last year. The Home Minister will chair a meeting with senior officials, State Govt, army and security forces in Delhi. On June 16, Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. On June 10, Convoy of Manipur CM N Biren Singh was allegedly attacked by armed miscreants in Kotlen. Ethnic violence has gripped Manipur since May last year demanding the inclusion of the Meitei community in the ST category.

I am ashamed of the incompetence and lack of organisational efficiency, leadership and education in our government. Being a citizen of eastern India (Bengal), I'm woefully devastated by the fact, that we Indians have shamelessly let down our brothers and sisters in the North East for these months and the damage we allowed to happen there already, it's unforgettable and unforgivable to the core. Maybe it's a simple harsh fact that we Indians never deserved the precious North East, it's culture and it's people, who are a gift of God as a part of this country. My prayers for all brothers and sisters out there 🙏🏻. Take care and stay safe. The way the Indian government and people have failed you, they are in no position to even ask for forgiveness. It's their last chance to act and undo the damage they have let happen all these days without any remorse.
