@lodoss118 yeah the Blast City is a great cabinet. You have two great ones yourself. I always wanted to get a SNK made candy cabinet to have for a dedicated Neo Geo cab. Mabey one day right.
I been waiting on a pandoras box for my arcade cab. I currently have a pandora 6 in there. Looks like I will continue to wait for something more powerful. Nice review
I have a X-Cade tankstick and I still haven't been able to nail down if I can configure pandora's box for full support including trackball. There is so little information overall.
If Pandora Box used a little better Arm processors and more with a better OS and ROM with the music and everything more people would be willing to buy them.
Thank you for the honest review Wicked, you save me some money again, shame that after so many years since the PB 6 came out they did not fix the issues we had with theese boxes.
Maybe something could improve visually with VGA and VGA CRT or CRT TV (not performance, only the visual appearance), the rest it's the usual ok-ish stuff for 2D and sluggish for 3D.
I need some help I just bought one of these but it doesn’t have a power supply it’s not the standard 12v dc it’s slightly larger and I can’t find anything on the web about this power supply
Great video. The Game king 2019 in 1 in my Lindbergh just bricked so looking for a replacement. I’m set up with a Chinese Jamma harness. Is this compatible?
The game to test for Playstation 2 emulation is the first Ratchet and Clank. When you look out across the first level at all that open space then turn, you'll instantly know if it's going to be good or not.
Can't see the appeal of these boxes, the UI looks so outdated and all the issues you mentioned would not be user fixable? There are so many better options now when it comes to emulating I don't know why you would ever buy one of these.
They make the most since when they are a two stick joystick box for the home. Or you get the JAMMA version that goes into an arcade machine. Mostly for people who want plug and play not want tinker all the time like a PC setup.
These boxes are made for people that do not want to tinker with options, finding roms or figure out how to put a cheap system like this. The problem what most people don't see immediately is how much problems these have. Cheap controllers, unbranded SD cards that gets corrupted, too many duplicate roms, limited on user side OS that you might want to avoid getting on your network, games suffering from emulation issues (glitching, stuttering, lagging or freezing), PS1 games missing soundtracks so they can cram as many possible, they don't feel like a product that will last very long and so on. However there is some good to be had in them since some of them provide improved cooling over cheap Android TV boxes, they are plug and play, they provide you with roms you might take some time to collect yourself as long you make sure to keep the one you want, they take very small space in comparison to regular PC or console and in comparison to inflation right now they are relatively cheap.
@@IvailoNachev-xc3zu Fair enough but I think the whole 'tinkering around and searching for roms' argument is overplayed. Installing a front end is straightforward and roms can be securely found in minutes. I'll take that all day over a lot of this stuff.
@@S.Keenan I agree with you on this as well but this is how some are lazy. Honestly all it takes is to put Batocera on a USB stick and you are ready to go. Some of them get terrified by asking them to go in their BIOS and adjust few settings. This is the same reason a lot of people who could benefit from using Linux don't use it although for a regular user it is 1-5% more challenging than Windows. Roms take some time to collect though since you need to make sure they work properly but once you build it up you are golden. I think right now the only thing worth it are handheld consoles since they bring form factor you can't exactly match with other devices. However with a bit of time you can set up Android TV box, old PC or old laptop to be a retro console and you will get better performance and even reach PS2 emulation depending on how much you can squeeze from your hardware (if it is an Desktop PC).
Hopefully they will go up to 4GB soon and then we can get a new one. As long as they are stuck on 2GB of RAM there's hardly any improvement from box to box.
I'd like to know what the deal is i cthis box for sale and price is all over i see it from $95-$350! Whats rhe actual price?and most dont say wether its v1 (non-upgradeable) or v2! Anyone have info?

So the next gens are now here. The light gun is definitely the new trend now. I'm glad it is! That is so disappointing that it can't even handle Tekken 3 on PS1. Oh well, win some and lose some.
@@WickedGamerCollector I found out that my neighbor got one of those Pandora Box 3D cabinet systems. Thanks to watching your content, I know which games to do a performance test on. I know what to expect, but it will be fun to do it myself!
@@WickedGamerCollector I think you can use something like Orange Pi 5 and its new gen Rockchip or any such board that uses the same chip. The problem with this developer board is that community support is kinda weak in comparison to Raspberry Pi but I have seen people able to run the weakest Nintendo Switch games on it as well PS2, Wii and some games on Android games like Genshin Impact. The problem with this ARM board is that it is kinda on the expensive side to set up and that might cost you +200$ to set up with proper casing, cooling, controllers, storage, memory, power cord and adapter but hey you can use Debian and Android. Another cool thing is you can buy one with 16 GB of ram and run virtual machines as well use Steam. I think you or Udon made a video about this new Rockchip 3588.
WICKED... I know this has nothing to do with this but it is your latest post and I'd like your opinion. I watched your videos everyday and I'm I've finally decided to buy a Super Console X-cube x3, which should satisfy my (throwback) game needs. The problem is I keep finding different ratios. Yes I want the 117,000 games (or 100,000 plus), the 256 mg card, 2 cheap controllers and the English version, but I'm finding prices ranging from $70 to $110, the last of which which claims ram of 4 gb of DDR3 and rom of 32 gb of eMMe. Doesn't this indicate its better than the cheaper ones. Is it worth paying $35 more? Thanks.
I think you might be better buying an Anbernic RG35XX with an HDMI cable and SD card since it is better value for the same amount of money. If you get the right and OTG cable you will be able to use a controller or in other words you can make it into a poor man's SWITCH. Many of the so called 100K games are different language versions plus the SD card you are getting with these devices is not good and PS1 games are missing their soundtrack. The RG35XX does more or less the same except N64, PSP and Dreamcast which or also hit or miss on these cheap android boxes. I wouldn't believe everything these manufacturers put as information because I had few times them listing a device as a 4GB RAM but I get 1 or 2. If you have the time and really want a small portable console then you can buy an old office pc or laptop (Usually around 70$) and put Batocera on it. You can get up to PS2, Dreamcast, Wii and PSP emulation depending on machine specs and you can mod the system the way you want. Most importantly you will keep the e-waste a bit down.
I'll make like for this video It was good that I came across this video, even Tekken 3 has a delay, so I don't buy this product, Tekken 3 and other new versions of Batocera on an old laptop do not delay.
Awesome vid 👊 great info as always. Glad I watched it- was gonna pick this up and cross my fingers that Pandory would fix some / or all of the stuff but it seems like this board is severely under powered. Quick question - Best Pandoras Box with Pandory?
Why can’t China get these android boxes right ???? How many must they make ???? Just make them powerful enough to play the higher end systems decently. !!!!! It’s just crazy how many have been made for the past several years.
This device is just straight out trash for it's price, you can get an old model tv box for $20 that can perform better than this one. Thanks for the review wicked and for buying this stuff so we don't have to 😂

You state that there’s a second version of the 10th. Is that available to purchase?
yup, version 2 comes out with update so trying to get that one to 😆
how to ship the Light-Gun Kit to China or Hong Kong?
Why are they still messing up the sound on the 16 bit/arcade games.. why not just use the correct emulators how hard can it be :)
Can you still buy this anywhere? Is the company gone for good or will they be releasing more in the future?
Will any of the modern arcade sticks work with these bad boys?
I think my box is from 2017 or so. Not sure. It comes with a big arcade like pad. (wireless)
I do wanna get a new one.
