I’m not using lithium, Jerry. I use SuperSart AGM batteries made right here in America. I get em from the O’REILLY Auto Parts store in Tahlequah. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
Hey Jimmy , did you know that catfish gain weight as they travel home, its amazing !! It only weighed five pounds ,say in Grand Lake ..and when it made it home an hour or so later he went from 5 pounds to 7, 8 or maybe even 10 pounds!!! How does that happen? 🤣😂😆😅🤣 thanks for the videos and the tips , i sure enjoy all that👍
Thanks Mr.Houston! Are they practical from the shoreline? I have quite a few crankbaits, most of them still in their packaging. I hate to hang them up and lose them. 🙏❤️😎👍
Use the shallow tuning square bill crank baits when fishing from the bank. They hang up less. You will always lose a few more from the shore than in a boat. But, they won’t catch any still in the package. Lol. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
How do you cast a small light crankbait with 20lb line on a baitcaster? I can't seem to use even 12 or 14lb on my baitcaster without backlashes with that light of a crankbait. What do you set the tension knob too? The brake?
I keep the brake on 4 or 5. About half way is good. I back the tension off wheee the bait drops fast when I push the button. Keep constant contact with your thumb in that reel. Could be that you have too stiff a rod for the light baits as well. I’ll try to do a tip on it. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
Not nearly enough Raymster Less than a hundred. Fished about 130-140 days when I was still fishing tournaments. I spend a lot of days taking care of Chris. One of these days, I’ll be taking her fishing. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
I love you Jimmy, Chris and all fam. but is technolgy ruining the sport, Scott Martin said this was like playing a video game. Pros dont need a windsheid, they have two huge monitors in Front of there face. What does a stop lock and, forward side video cost ? Top of the line
Finding the fish is the hardest part of fishing. It's the "Hunt". Removing this part of the activity means you are no longer fishing. THAT SAID. Jimmy, Roland, and any other Legend is outside of this criticism. You guys are allowed to do whatever you want. You've earned it. Anyone else, I don't respect a single fish caught via LiveScope. Same as fishing the Spawn. It's always been the case. If someone brags about catching some monster Bass and it's end of May or June. First question is "Ok, was it on a bed?". It's always been looked at as a lesser than way of catching them. Just because you use live bait doesn't mean you catch them. Just because you use Snagging Treble hooks doesn't you catch them. So, the whole "just because you see them doesn't mean you catch them" is a silly defense of a technology that clearly is allowing mediocre fisherman to hop skotch truly skilled fisherman. But, it's not going any where. The tech is here to stay. Standards are lowered and it's already normalized. @@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing

Liked the video. My question is whether to get spot lock or electric winches(2) for my aluminum bass boat ?
I believe I’d get a trolling motor with Spot Lock. You will love it. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
It's hard to set the stop lock if you don't have one. Great video Jimmy 🎣
Lol. Yep. Makes it pretty difficult. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
👍😎
Hey Jimmy, I’m not gonna give up on fishing with you. I’ll drive to Oklahoma but I want to fish with you.
It could happen, Jeanne. Have a fabulous week. May God Bless. jimmy

Do you guys think jimmy ever gets his lure hung up?
I think he does!!! Lol. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
Are you using square bill, mid or deep divers? All the way from South Africa
Mostly deep divers in the summer. Except in the shallower rivers. I love South. Africa Been there twice. Great country. May God Bless. jimmy
Do you use livescope?
I sure do. My new Ranger has two of em. One on the trolling motor and one on a RiteHite
Turret. I love em. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
Mr. Jimmy,
How many days a year do you fish?
Not nearly enough Raymster Less than a hundred. Fished about 130-140 days when I was still fishing tournaments. I spend a lot of days taking care of Chris. One of these days, I’ll be taking her fishing. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
@@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing Thanks, I was just curious. Also, we are praying for Chris and for strength for you! God Bless and have a great day 🙏

Lol. Not yet, Jeff. Still doing television on ESPN and several other networks. Still having fun. May God Bless. jimmy
I’m 53 been watching jimmy forever. I still catching fish on the roadrunner jigs. Thanks jimmy.
Well Jimmy never fished. Never wanted to touch live stuff to bait or remove a hook.
But enjoy watching people. You’re thinking no way!
Oh, Linda, you have missed out on so much fun. Never too late to start. Get after em’!! May God Bless. jimmy
