Pomona Bill. That is exactly why we can no longer trust the main stream media. Ratings sell advertising, advertising means money. The more fear mongering, exciting, or controversy the higher the ratings. It is becoming that way on UA-cam as well. This is the ONLY place I look to for clear, informed and reliable information on Oreville.
The "best" reporting on this issue! No "experts"....no"talking heads".....no misinformed media....no fake news! Juan, thanks for presenting all the information properly, professionally and without needless emotion! A true professional you are! Cheers!
Juan with your genuine enthusiasm you've provided a good honest in-depth summary of the Oroville dam situation as it has evolved over the last 3 months from all angles - and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to the rebuild updates.
Great Job. Incredibly professional. I am in Chicago and would not normally be too concerned about your dam but I can not get enough of your reporting. Thanks.
Superb. I have been following these since the beginning and they are fantastic. As an engineer, thanks for the technical details, which lack so much in today's news. As an electrical engineer, I loved the Slow Blow Fuse analogy to the emergency spillway...brilliant!
I grew up flying with my Grandpa in a 49 Champ, love the Arial views you provide! thanks for the updates! by FAR the best source out there, Beautiful plane by the way! 👌👍
One of the best things about your videos for me is your air-eating grin stretching all the way to your eyes, reflecting what can only be your unalloyed joy at flying that Luscombe. Coming from a guy who's at the top of the aviation food chain, I LOVE it! I can feel that joy, and it makes me glad to be watching you. Keep on doing!
Kudo's and additional thanks for your Comprehensive, thoroughness and brilliant coverage of the Emergency and followup activities involving the events at Oroville. GREAT JOB!! THANK YOU.
Great to see clean clear water at the base of the spillway. This video will be a keepsake for the history of Oroville. once again big thanks Juan for keeping us informed. Your a star 🏆👍🏼😊
Another "blancolirio masterpiece!" Can't tell you how much I have/am enjoying these reports. You clearly are on top of your game. Thanks for your diligence and care. Looking forward to continued reports as this construction gets under way.
The most detailed and comprehensive video about this area I've ever seen. Thank you for your efforts to bring this information forward with great views from the air.
I love your aircraft, beautiful and simple. What a momentous few months since Feb. You have done a wonderful job in reporting with solid information, and no hype. I thank you for the time you have put into keeping people informed and entertained these past few months. You did a lot to remove the mystery and hype that was just everywhere when this all went wrong in Feb. Thank you, Juan. Be well and stay safe.
Thank you Mr. Browne for these updates! I'm sure that I am only one of many who look forward to hearing from you as the dam recovery continues. If there is a trophy to the best, I'll pass that to you now. Way to go Champ!
I don't think I've thanked you before for keeping us so well updated on the dam situation. I've been watching from the beginning and plan on watching until it's all finished. Thanks again. It's great how you explain everything so we can all understand. 😉
Thank you for an outstanding job you have done since the beginning of this Oroville dam ordeal. Episodes after episodes you produced were superb, they were very informative. I really enjoyed and educated myself by watching your videos. Being a engineer myself (retired), I also wanted to say "hat off" to those engineers and workers that worked on this ordeal. A job well done.
Simply one of the best reporters on this situation..accurate information and you have your own aeroplane! Other professional reporters could learn a few things from you... You make them look like amateurs 😉
BajaGirl302 I heard that one as well. I don't think anything surprised me anymore.. With the stuff that's so crazy you'd think it isn't true, then turns out to be. I am just an observer waving a white flag.
Thank you, hermano Juan Browne !! Another perfect Oroville Update !! I am so grateful for all that you do and especially thankful for your awesome family that shares you with us.. The Browne Family - The Best !!!
Excellent report!! The Mighty Luscombe is looking pretty sharp. Five months!! is going to pass in a blink of an eye. They have to do some serious "rocking and rolling" to get that done.
Juan, thank you for another excellent report. I really enjoyed this. You added sufficient detail to be easy to understand what is going on there. No wonder the authorities want to answer your enquiries, you are putting it out there in such a good report
Thanks Juan for the clear informative information you have been providing! You are the educated voice out there giving us straight honest talk about Orville Dam. You being a fellow pilot added the credibility for me. Thanks again and don't stop!
Once again, very informative. Awesome plane and pilot. The rebuilding of the spillway is the kind of job (Heavy and Highway) I used to like to work on as a carpenter.
Jaun, thank you for the excellent report. Would it be possible for you to do a fly over sometime and explain the various parts of the lake? Where is the Hwy 70 bridge, the various marinas, etc. I'm looking for an overview/tour of Lake Oroville. I'm thinking the audience would appreciate it too. I would be happy to fly and run the camera for you anytime. Thanks for the great reports.
Chris Wikeen - a good example of The Browne Effect - that's where the places Juan visits and shows us on video have a huge spike in Google hits and tourism this year because we've learned how great all those places are from his videos. 👍💕
Juan, another great report, both video and calm, confidence inspiring commentary. With the DWR calling you directly to answer your questions, seems you've become the de facto official outlet (no pun intended, ok, a little one) for accurate information on the entire Oroville Reservoir/ Dam / Spillway status and repair progress. Congratulations!
Once again Juan, thank you so much for these videos! My connection to Oroville Lake comes from my youth, when we would visit my cousins for weeks during the summer. A lot of time was spent on that body of water. Great memories!
Thanks so much for totally brilliant coverage of a truly important sequence of events for literally millions of Californians. It is too bad there isn't a Pulitzer Prize for citizen journalism because you deserve about 3 or 4 of them with oak leaf clusters. The maimed-stream crowd just does not have the IQ, the technical knowledge, or the attention span and perseverance to approach a story like this. It's tough when your biggest concerns are keeping the ads from slamming together and whether the blow dryer is working. It is just astounding to reflect on how much really significant stuff I learned from your videos that would never have been available without your efforts. We owe you a huge debt of gratitude. Thanks one more time.
Another excellent report, Juan, including a great review of some important parts of the history and relevant aspects of the emergency spillway, which provided useful context. And laughing at: "Croyle Canyon"!! 🤣
Juan, I am not a Californian. However I have been very impressed with your reporting on this incident. I wish the media would join you in this no non-sense fact based reporting. It is nice to watch and listen. No underhanded political agenda. Looking forward to future updates. Keep the information coming. Thanks
Hello from Alberta. Started watching when the spillway breached. I have kept watching you because of the thoughtful detailed coverage of this massive structure and marvelous aerial footage. Keep up the great work!
Great vid, Nice hangar Dave, I bet you get excited every time you open the door.I used to fly a TC BC12D and built A Whittman Tailwind W-10. It's nice to watch you fly and up date us on the dam, thanks.
Excellent Juan !! ....thanks for sharing your knowledge with us all .....Full Marks for that..... and your plane and new stabilisation gizmos .....great pictures ...Looking forward to the Project Start ......the race against time !!!
Juan, Thanks a lot for an excellent report. Probably the best info so fare about the spillway. For us being non-american / english audience - a very clear story of the current situation. Like your footage from the Alaskan Husky. Please keep up you good work. Greetings from Norway.
I've been interested in this since the beginning, even though I live in Canada. Your coverage has been the great throughout. Thank you. It's frightening to imagine what a few more inches of rain may have done.
Get that man a pint !! Brilliant stuff !! Thank you for your hard work ! And I enjoyed your london Volgs !! Shout me up for a pint next time your over !
all hail to the mighty Luscombe, I love how the window is robust enough to get out of the way, awesome aerial video, documentary indeed ! never to be replaced by a drone
Dam Juan, you are good! Great aerial shots and your new gyro stabilized camera sure got a workout on this flight and really makes a difference. Always looking forward to the next report.
Hi Juan, I'm glad you keep on making more updates about Oroville. I will start from the beginning: on February I watched on telly the emergency situation about Oroville and I wanted to know further about how the process of first reconducting the situation, then how the first repairs would be done and what will happen, and, finally now I want to know how the reconstruction will evolute. So I know that your channel is interesting because my first impression was so. I will keep on watching your videos because you give the best information that could be given and, to be honest, you are honest and you explain it so well. Now your flights give a more completed view that marries with the information that you tell us. Thank you! I am looking forward to watching that lower section of the spillway being demolished and started rebuilding!!
I enjoy the factuality of your reports. What was the apparent water flow across the parking lot. Btw, I am retired from the CA Dept of Insurance. Was at the LAC in Oroville, disaster center in people speak, in Oroville, after the Butte complex fires. We had to leave the facility because pro westling tour was scheduled to appear. We used to come as kids and see the progress of the construction of the dam .
Juan, thanks for another great video. You're our eye in the sky now, cool as Sully, and reassuring in your reliable facts. Keep up the good reporting, "Sky King" ! (50's reference)
I'm just glad everything is OK. We plan to buy a house and relocate the entire family downstream from the Dam. There are some really good deals in that area. Two thumbs up!
Ty for all the wonderful footage and reporting Juan :) Love it when you take us flying with you !!! The scenery is what I miss the most when flying today, and the comfort of planes gone by. Sigh........The price of Progress I guess. Will keep an eye out for further videos :)
Awesome again Juan and I agree with Dan D , best video yet. It's a great perspective being up in the plane looking down at Orville. Thanks again for your time and effort. Rob
As always, you do a great service vrs mainstream media. Of course they have more to talk about (and things to make up - LOL). I hadn't realized that the spill way was so long (length) until just now. And November seems to be a mighty short time for them to get the work done. Hopefully this repair / rebuild will last and last. Cheers from Indiana.
Best videos, best and most interesting reports. Thanks Juan. (You might cure my fear of flying, but some of those cliff-edge bike trail videos make my palms sweaty. Be safe!)
I'm almost going to be sad when this whole fiasco is recovered! I enjoy your aerial views of the dam and the surrounding countryside so much! I am definitely hooked on blancolirio channel! Nice job again Juan!
Batch plant would be on the wrong side of the spillway and require many millions to haul it around. If they plan to reuse the removed rock immediately after blasting it out, it will require a "drying time" before it can be run threw the plant.
Juan, this was your BEST video so far ! Most informative and complete explanation surpassing all the major news networks.
Indeed! Your best video. Great editing and voice-over. Enjoyed the included recap and summary of the event.
Dan D - yes. Please look at the video description and donate at his PayPal link.

I must agree - what a fantastic piece of journalism.
I was thinking the same thing. I was going to type it but luck me, this was the first comment. Great job Juan!
Thank you so much for the info. You are way better then the local news
Thank you for your commitment to keep us all updated on the progress of the Oroville dam repair project. It was quite a scare for us.
Blessings. Joel

We're going to miss you, and your reports, Juan! Please don't leave us high and dry!
Oh no, this is too interesting of a project to not report on.
When I was 10 years old, I got my first stick-time in a Luscombe. Thank you so much for featuring The Mighty Luscombe in this series!
Great Job. Incredibly professional. I am in Chicago and would not normally be too concerned about your dam but I can not get enough of your reporting.

Another, & this time historical report. Thanks Juan, for a spectacular aerial perspective complete with all the numbers.
Thanks for your regular reports about the recovery and repairs at Oroville Dam.

Plenty more interesting stuff to talk about...
Oh, I'm sure there will be. I've been binging on your other videos. Great stuff and so well presented!
Batch plant would be on the wrong side of the spillway and require many millions to haul it around. If they plan to reuse the removed rock immediately after blasting it out, it will require a "drying time" before it can be run threw the plant.
i think your right!
THANKYOU JUAN BROWNE! 🇺🇸✈️
These videos are soooo cool. You're getting much better at producing them. You were good at the outset, but have learned quite a bit.
Agreed. The best video yet and some truly beautiful aerial shots. Juan well done - again!.
Love the updates. I live in Florida and still like learning about this issue.
Nice job! You have done an excellent job of editing the video and telling the story!
