I've only ever heard and sang this song in school. I went to a Waldorf school (based on Rudolf Steiner's ideas, don't know if you've heard of it). It seems every Waldorf School in Holland sings this song, so on youtube it's mostly kids singing, but I think it has a great melody and the text is pretty evocative, about trolls, dwarves, viking treasures, ancient trees and a Norwegian wedding etc. I'm sure a lot of people who went to Waldorf schools in Holland would love to see you play this.
