- Today we are going to be starting a new Genshin Impact challenge because I am bored! Don't worry, I will still be continuing my other series as well, but I felt like a new challenge. Swaplocke is basically the same as a Nuzlocke, except your characters cannot be used anymore if they are swapped out from the team. Honestly, keeping Traveler on the team will probably be a must-have - they will save you so much trouble when it comes to elemental monuments! Kinda nice to see you doing a new challenge, Healers Only is great but I'm sure it feels dry sometimes
I was literally gonna say the same thing! I do agree keeping the traveler on the team would help since you can switch out the elements !!!
Yeah agreed. Switching out the traveler is a huge risk - imagine building up a quite decent team of strong characters, only to realize that you have to forever abandon one of them because the main quest needs an element you do NOT have in your team and cannot get from any nearby source.
Having the traveler takes care of that. As long as there is a cryo and pyro on the team along with traveler, you pretty much have access to every single element in the game at the current time.
@@user89389Anemo Traveler can swirl Pyro and Cyro without other characters anyway , so it’s a win win
Dont swap amber, just for now. Early game has a lot of pyro puzzles and mechanics as well as bow related challanges😅

honestly, yeah, the traveler is probably that one character you will have to keep for like, forever, since she can be used to do most (futurely all) of the elemental totems with her element switch
Honestly? Despite her own short comings it will probably be really dumb to sack Amber for now. Because of how many pyro and archery challenges there is you should wait until you have at least one pyro or bow character before removing her. Also you should make sure your team always has one pyro one cryo and the traveler (for now since the traveler can be any element minus those for now -will change later when we get pyro and cryo traveler-) with the fourth slot being electro before inazuma. As its locked behind the archon quest unlike geo dendro and hydro
just off the top of my head, i feel like venti would be op for this account, especially since you are only doing floors 1 - 8. venti absolutely sweeps those floors. he would also fill in the bow slot, which you need for puzzles and stuff. but if not venti, either lyney or yoimiya because pyro and bow = exploration god (sorry amber), and also just to give you a dps.
edit: some people have already said this but lumine! must stay! she's like 5 elements in one, soon to be 6. plus geo construct!

I wouldn't add Noelle just yet: you already have Lumine for geo and Beidou for mining/some defensive utility. I believe the trick to beat this will be to find as much role consolidation as possible, for example, if a character is a bow user and a healer and of a different element from the rest of the team. Lots of planning, I look forward to seeing where you take this!
i’d probably say traveller is THE most important here tbh, 5 out of the 7 elements at any time (soon at least) is so valuable in a challenge like this
Also, yes, Noelle. Use her. But only after Natlan so you can have pyro traveler
i think keeping traveler plus pyro n cryo on ur team always is good because as of right now we do not have natlan and shnez so trav cant use the elements of pyro and cryo !!
The "nuz" part of nuzlocke actually comes from nuzleaf because a comic that first introduced the concept was centered around a pokemon trainer and their nuzleaf
ooo this sounds like a fun challenge excited for future episodes! I suggest keeping the four characters on your team as it is right now since there are many puzzles that require pyro on monstadt
I feel like nilou would be a very good pick for a team in the late game, you could use her for hyperbloom in the openworld and then in the abyss one side would be bloom with nilou and the other side could be aggravate with an electro and a dendro
nilou needs four characters for her passive doesn't she?

I'd go with traveller, Bennett, Fischl and a flex spot for an especially strong DPS. That would cover all the bases imo :3
Another goal would be defeating at least one of every enemy in the game

Cool challenge! You're probably going to want as many different elements as possible on your team, right? To deal with overworld puzzles and certain enemies. Since Lumine can (eventually) use every element except pyro and cryo, it might be a good idea to ensure that you always have a pyro and cryo character on your team?
Traveler is a must-have and will likely be the character you ascend to 90, as her ascension materials are practically given to you by leveling up your adventure rank.
Amber is super useful in the early game, especially for archery challenges, pyro activated monuments, burning the thorns around chests etc.
A bow character and a pyro character is a must for exploration. I'd go as far as to say that Amber shouldn't be replaced at all unless you have a duo of (Bennett/Xiangling) and (Fischl/Kujou Sara) OR you get Lyney or Yoimiya.
if you ever plan to explore Dragonspine, there's some cryo monuments you'll need Kaeya for. You might want to do that before changing him out.
Noelle isn't a huge priority, to be honest. You have geo traveler and she has her constructs as well.
Electro is a must on this account, if only you kept Lisa for the Inazuma Archon Quest monument on Nazuchi Beach... Electro traveler's cool down is too long for it, so lets just hope that you get an electro bow character.
As for your team,
traveler/hydro character/pyro character/electro character is probably the most comfortable team set up. Lots of reactions, anemo and dendro traveler are good for swirl/dendro related reactions.
bloom is (not that) surprisingly good against the pyro regisvine. And overloaded is pretty good against the cryo one.
But other than that, do what you want!! This is going to be fun to watch!!!
So in 4.6, you should consider pulling for either wanderer or baizhu. baizhu is an outstanding healer and enables dendro reactions (which is very nice for a challenge like this). however, in overworld, wanderer will be a mega good travel character and a competent enough dps. plus he's anemo so can can enable swirling.

The stratagy for these kinds of videos is to rush through the story to open the puzzles and completing them before any of the serious fighting begins.
Honestly i would definitely keep barbara on your team until u get a kokomi or something.

I think maybe you could do a burgeon team maybe and I know it sounds bad but if you think about it, it could be pretty good and could match your standards! You could use Yelan, Bennett, Nahida or Yao Yao who are all easy to build and maybe even Dendro Traveller or Furina as a fill-in spot! Love your videos :)
Remember to do the ice bridge to that one Island before benching Kaeya forever! 😂
I don't think Kaeya should be benched, personally. Unless she gets some ultra powerful cryo DPS who doesn't need support, Kaeya's a beast and really REALLY good for challenges like this.

I think you could discard amber now. you get xiangling after completing abyss, so while there pyro puzzles, you could always mark them on your map and then complete them later with xiangling (in my opinion). it depends on how you’d wanna go about it though

It’s going to be very difficult to switch out either Traveler or Amber for a majority of the game. Even all the way into Sumeru, you will specifically need a Pyro archer for a hefty amount of puzzles. And traveler can be a good answer for a lot of other puzzles between their anemo, geo, and Dendro modes.
Keep traveler, she's hydro, dendro, electro, anemoa and geo. And more too!!! I suggest u make a hyperbloom team, and use traveler to fill whatver slot ur missing

Noelle is a good character to have, but because you have Beidou you don't need her immediately. It's higher skill, but Beidou can still shield like Noelle. Save Noelle for harder content where Beidou will be too difficult to keep up with (like Childe) I don't think you can afford to swap anyone off just yet. I think the big brain move will be to - once exploration opens up - go running around torch lighting as much as possible with Amber right out of the gate. You'll get a ton of rewards, and then you can more safely remove Amber from your team. If you can ever pull a Yoimiya she's basically 2nd Chance Amber. Kaeya might be tempting to drop because of the fact that there's less cryo related puzzles, but he's a monster of DPS, especially in a limited gameplay mode like this (he doesn't need a team to support him, and will work well with hydro, electro, and pyro traveler) and so IMO Traveler (because they are 5 elements in one) and Kaeya should be your most immovable units. If you get lucky and Natlan drops while you're doing this challenge then you can add pyro to your Traveler and make the need for pyro units go away.
Furina would demand a healer... but she would also make this account really good.

traveler is a must and venti is good option but idt that he will get a rerun soon cuz if ur doing just up to floor 8 venti is op there and u need pyro cuz its mostly good element
Kaeya is a good character, even in late game if build properly

I feel like you should be able to use 8 characters for abyss but they all must be usable so that would mean if you a full team and lets say dori. I feel like you should be able to use dori for abyss but not characters you swapped out off like *cough* amber *cough*.

I hate to say it, but I think Kaeya is gonna have to get the boot if you want Noelle on the team. The traveller is really good for any elemental puzzles during this challenge and Amber’s bow is useful, plus she has an element that the traveller doesn’t have yet. While Kaeya also has an element that the traveller doesn’t, as far as exploration and puzzles, he is less valuable to the team
Yeah!! ^^^^ I agree boot Keaya first then Amber later once you have another bow character, better yet a pyro bow (psps Lyney in 4.6) because traveller can’t use pyro and bow characters are *essential* especially in early game with exploration and chests
i feel like neuvillette would be SO frickin strong for this account since he can literally solo abyss by himself.
imo itd be smart to always have at least one pyro and cyro character on the team if you can, just beacuse those are the elements traveler cant use. i dont think its worth swapping noelle on, even once you get electro traveler. she might just have to stay benched
I think Navia is a great pick. has a great f2p weapon in that melusine claymore. Can have crystallize shields for defense, deals a lot of damage and isn't useless against elemental shields
The claymore is a limited event weapon. She cant get it anymore

i feel like itd be easier to track discarded characters by using the little star in the character menu. if you star all the characters still able to be used?

@@Gigi_Luigi_ I don't know what you're talking about, but I never used Lisa during the inazuma archon quest. Any time you need rapid electro application you can just use Fischl

Its too early in the game to swap too much, dont rush to switch to noelle if u can. All the characters in ur current team will be needed more early game
Didnt u mention at the start of the vid that once u change artefacts or weapon of a character u cant change it again? YOU CHANGED THE WEAPONS AND ATREFACTS MULTIPLE TINES 😅

Does swaplocke also counts for the Traveler? Say for example you cannot switch back to an element once you've switched it to a new one?
Honestly, I hope that the Traveler element won't be swaplocked because that would make solving some puzzles near impossible.
