Liked it and the first comment was right. The warning tag front needs to be on the engine/heavier side. The quick jack company videos will explain that. Nice job!
I don't know if someone already told you but you need to spin those around. You have them facing for a front engine car. Your car is a rear engine so they need to be facing the other direction. Moving them back and forth isn't correct for balance. Read the very beginning of the directions. Thanks for the video!!!
Nice video! I just put my 7000TL together this week & it was helpful, especially the iterations necessary to properly bleed the system. BTW - the manual states that you should turn either the car or the lifts 180 degrees for a rear engine vehicle (like your awesome Turbo S!) Now if I can just figure out how to lift my 944S2. Still trying to figure out if I can hit those crazy lift points.
Thank you for watching and so glad it helped a bit. I was able to get it lifted and stable like they were.. Just installed some wheel spacers the other day. Did a short vid on that also. I'll try them the other way and see if it helps or feels more safe. Thanks!!
@@protectandswerve Yay!! My Quickjack was delivered today. And thanks to your tutorial I barely needed the manual to put it together. I tried it on two cars so far (a BMW 440i and a VW Eurovan) and it preformed flawlessly. To be able to use it on a '92 Van I had to flip them from left to right. It worked out great. Thanks again. 👍
@@theo.k that’s so great to hear and very happy for you. I’m actually down in the basement right now messing with mine having to adjust the aftermarket lift points on one of my cars so the span between the lift blocks will be correct. Enjoy.!!!
@protectandswerve Nice! Having the Quickjack sideways with the van makes it harder to align the rubber blocks. So I just finished cutting up a 4x4 wooden post wood into pieces that fit into the rail of the Quickjack horizontally and taking up all the space. So no more sliding to position the blocks. One set is slightly taller than the other because the rear of the van is sitting higher. Now it is so much easier to lift the van. On a side note, I love your collection of cars. You sir, have an excellent taste!
@@theo.k. Very cool and thank you on the compliment. I have no business having this many vehicles and this much tied up in cars. I’m NOT a wealthy person, just a hard working blue collar guy with a bad car habit!! lol.

Nice video! FYI, the side of the lift with the label is supposed to support the heavier side (where the engine is) of the vehicle. If your car's engine is mid-engine, then it could just be a matter of testing for the right weight balance for the lift. If the engine is towards the rear, then try switching the lift with the label side where the engine is.
Glad you enjoyed it. My fiancee has a lowered Boxster S and I have to pull hers up on 4 pieces of 2x10’s just to get it up far enough to slide them under with the lift blocks installed. Works fine and not a hassle, so you should be good to go !! Hope it works out for ya!
i have the similar jack my problem is sometimes the left is raising up faster than the right and sometimes the right is faster than the left not sure whats the problem
Make sure that your hydraulic fluid reservoir is full enough and try the bleeding process another couple of times. I did not have quite enough fluid in mind the first time and I think once I got it all the way up and back down after filling it back up completely, I think it bled some of the air out of the hydraulic lines. Your problem is definitely due to air in the line somewhere.
When I was setting mine up I kept having to push them down by hand as well several times during the bleeding process. Just keep doing that and make sure you have the required 40-50 psi in the canisters.
Hello to all, I have exactly the same and you right it’s difficult the firsts times for having the ramps descend on their own without weight, but in use I would say around thirty ascents and descents, the ramps will descend on their own without intervention, you can also have a loss of air pressure due to a defective valve but ultimately at the use even without air in the cylinders everything will work, thanks for the video
My reason and I would think many others is that with Quickjacks, you can completely pull the up off the floor and not have anything in the way in your garage or where ever. Plus QJ's are Moble. I can take them anywhere as long as I have power supply, I can lift a vehicle anywhere. A full lift like a two post have to be mounted. I just liked the ease of these. Thank you for watching though!
@@pedrohernandez5642 Sorry. That’s one of the very easy well covered things in the manual. Basic fill it almost to the top of the reservoir. About 1/2 from top. I topped it off after I ran it up and down a couple of times the first time.
By the way, you are welcome!!! Not sure if you were trying to be a little bit sarcastic or not but if you watched the whole thing and the first thing that you think to say is that it’s not detailed enough when I certainly didn’t do it for my health, I was trying to help.

It seem to work OK once I got it set right but I’ll definitely turn them around and try the other way to make sure it’s safer. Thank you sir.
What this guy said. Turn your jack around.
But what if your car happens to have 50/50 weight distribution?...like my V8 Vantage
Thank you so much

Others have mentioned this as well. I do appreciate the help. I’ll try it that way the next time I need to lift the 911.
I was just about to mentioned that then saw your post.
Nice vintage jack you have at the top center at: 37:13.
Ha! I love that thing. I didn’t know it was “vintage”. Any idea how old?

How about an oil change with these? Is it high enough?
Oh yes!! Heck the top setting is too high really. Lower setting is perfect for it.
Hey there, any reason not to just get a 2 post lift ?

Sticker side is engine side as a tip
Good tip! Thanks. I'll try it that way when I finish my shoulder surgery recovery. It should work way better and safer with them swapped around.
very detailed? never saw the fluid and exactly what I was looking for how much fluid
