You bet it does. Used to be very uncommon but im seeing it more. Archers and siege work great in unison, this is commonly and basically used by everyone to some extent on defense. Adapting it in a controlled manner in an attack wave is also very effective. As always, you'll need generals who complement this arrangement and the tech to support. I find it more so effective enough I've ran it years.
