I really expected you to say at the start. "Reasons to pick a Black Orc team: none. Unless you are in for some positioning training because of MA 4 on the most important pieces." 😂😘
But sadly it's really badly implementated with cumbersome interface for saving and the fact it's tied to the actual player so you have to redo everything if you change someone.

Andy, these formations really helped me in the league playoffs. I couldn't manage to get the win in he final, but i would not have been in the match if not for the formations. i struggled for the regular season, i iwsh the game had dropped sooner to help me withTT!
Thanks for the guide, althought I can bearly hear you over the background sound. Would there be a way to show the recommended skills as small icons when you talk about them?
Great video, really love these. For future reference the music audio is a bit too loud compared to your voice. I know you will most likely be making these for all of the factions, and I know I am going to watch them, lol.
Enjoyed the video Andy! One point of criticism is that the background noise is a bit loud, and drowns you out a bit, especially when you were talking about inducements.
Question: Shouldn't every Black Ork take Mighty Blow first for three reasons : 1- Block is 6 casualties or 4 casualties and 1 scoring away, taking Mighty Blow seriously boost SPP generation. 2- BB3 current state and over concession make putting psychological pressure on opposition very important. 3- Black Ork team is very bash focused and can only keep it's advantage with keeping more players on field than opposition and they don't have access to frenzy and low movement so surfing out it harder. That only left fouling and casualties. Perhaps 4 MB and 2 Guards first (guard for scrimmage line along the troll).
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Andy hasn't mentioned frenzy at any point in this video. I would like to know your thoughts as why you wouldn't want to build frenzy black orks. Looks a bit weird but there is this one dude who got to challice several times, and once he even reached finals. Thank you very much.
@@AndyDavoBloodBowl I didn´t speak clearly enough, the frenzy goes on the goblins. The idea being, you can have guard SF to put black orcs on sidelines and helping set up surfs, and with all the guard you have you can use a frenzy goblin to get 2ds, and also dodge out of spooky situations you get yourself when you surf something. Thinking of treating it as a agi 3 witch elf sort of. Frenzy black orks was the team name, but I understand the confusion
I was alwas interested in the Black Orcs. Nice to have a guide from such an experienced bash coach. Edit: you are underestimating random skills. You can just random doubles on your first few goblins. There aren't many bad ones. Wrestle's fine, block is amazing. Roll Sure hands? There's your ball carrier. Roll DP? Save up for sneaky git and put those boots to good use. Strip ball? Dauntless? Tackle? You might be interested in training a dedicated sacker when you get one of these. Since Goblins are your carriers anyway, it will be easy to get those 6 skill points for the random double, so if you roll a really bad skill (Frenzy and shadowing are the only truly terribad skills, so basically a 1 in 6) you just redraft the player and start over. Even on black orcs, the only strength skill you really don't want to random is arm bar. Brawler and Grab are rerolls, strong arm only applies to players with TTM. That being said, black orcs are so slow to level, I probably wouldn't risk a random skill.
That sounds great in practice and fine if your having fun with friends but in champs ladder you want guaranteed doubles to build a powerful team for the cup, messing around with randoms will mostly lead to disaster in that format…..
I do agree that Goblins are prime candidates for random secondary skills. They have 4 Great skills = 33% Block, Dirty Player, Sure Hands, Wrestle. 6 Good skills = 50% Dauntless, Fend, Kick, Pro (3+), Strip Ball and Tackle. 2 Bad skills Frenzy and, Shadowing. So when you first roll randomly for a General skills you have 83% chance of getting a good or better skill. Yet as you acquire skills like Kick or Strip Ball, a second player with this skill is rather bad. The point is that most of the time with random first secondary, if the goblin survives long enough, he can add a second skill to complement the first one. The great skills typically want a stat boost. Not the DP of course, he takes the Sneaky Git. Tackle and Strip Ball is ideally paired with Wrestle, Fend with Side-Step, and with kick, nothing really paires, so he can tag a piece out during the games. And remember, when you want to spare your star Goblin, foul with it, so it can be sent off to safety.
I just watched your OWA guide and Im running a low TV team of linemen and a tree and having a lot of fun. Would you say a troll, 11 gobos and 3rr lineup with star players would be similar or are the gobos so much worse than human linemen the disadvantage would be way too great?
Are others having issues with their saved formations? I save multiple, but once it comes to the game it’s basically only got 2- 1 offensive and 1 defensive.
@@AndyDavoBloodBowl played a few with 1, played a lots of 2. But this man, this is bs to be honest. And ignoring an agressive microtransaction is like ignoring brain tumor... Ps.: Your vids helped me a lot in 2, my criticism is not against your person
@Baronpapa completely agree, micro transactions do a lot, they are the nurgles rot of the games industry. Developed over many years with psychologists to turn gaming from an enjoyable hobby and experience with a community of "players" in to a thinly veiled casino extorting "users" and focusing all their efforts to get them to fall down the slippery slope of exploitation, that begins with not seeing it to defending it to being too invested to face it. I would really like to have seen the community and it's biggest representatives be more aware of what this is and push back hard against it. Sadly it seems that too many just think it is not a big deal.
Have you actually played them, or are you just theory crafting? I ask because you mention the Black Orcs getting Strong Arm on a random strength roll and that is either a bug on Cyanide's part or you not understanding the rules -- Black Orcs can't get Strong Arm since they can't throw teammate BB2020 Rulebook pg 71: (re-rolling if the player already has that Skill or if they roll a Skill they cannot have) Pg 80: Strong Arm [...] A player that does not have the Throw Team-mate trait cannot have this Skill.

Hey there, it sounds like you really know your stuff, from a viewers stand point i think it would be nice if you turned down the audio of the game so that we can hear you better.
I have a couple of notes for you. 1. The music is way too loud. 2. You're serverely underestimating random skills. Black Orcs are one of the premier 'all random' teams that benefit most from random skills. There is almost no bad strength skills on a Black Orc. And random skills halve the TV increase allowing them to keep their TV low for inducements (which they get cheap bribes for). And random general skills on Goblins is phenomenal as it gives you access to toolbox goblins and you can fire and bad level ups. 3. You cannot get Strong Arm on a Black Orc... They don't have Throw Teammate, so they reroll the skill if they random it.
Fully depends on format i think - Black Orcs don't want to be massive TV dogs and need loads of help via the right skill picks. I'm sure dream world randoming skills would be ace, but they aint winning loads to get the luxuary of picking who scores when.
It's not PC to use the word 'race' any more. I'm surprised they have not been renamed to cultures, ethnicities or social constructions yet. After all they renamed Budweiser Babes to beer kegs ROFL.
