This video is pure delight on so many levels, not the least of which is our ability to watch you break brand new ground once again in terms of the dulcimer’s evolution as an instrument for creative and personal expression. I am in awe of the work you put into this to entertain us and make us think about emerging AI (in a more positive way for some of us!)

Thanks, Maria! I used a few different artificial intelligence programs in the production of this video, including ChatGPT, which was mainly for fleshing out aspects of the song's lyrics. I also used software-based AI for some of the video. The multiple Bings were created by shooting numerous takes and then splicing all the pieces together. I used Roto.ai to help with rotoscoping me as a cajon player, since the screen space was so tight and oddly lit. In this context, artificial intelligence is an extraordinary helper, a gift, a triumph, and a blessing. It's hard to acknowledge all of the good that AI brings without also calling out the potential dangers if this technology is abused. I recommend going to chat.openai.com/ and signing up for a free account, then doing some of your own exploring with ChatGPT 3.5 (it's free!)
@@bingfutch wowee that’s amazing. Thanks so much for all the info. I appreciate that. You know my late mom used to impart that sometimes we are afraid of stuff because we don’t know enough about it. So maybe signing up and learning will change the nervousness to excitement ! Funny I remember when my youngest was in kindergarten in 1997-1998 and they had 5 computers in the classroom. The internet was just becoming more available for home use and when I got that first computer in 1997 I was both fascinated and frightened by the internet. I guess Ai gives me similar vibes. And yet if it wasn’t for the internet I know FOR SURE hands down I would never have discovered the dulcimer and the good people like you that I got to meet in person and learn from. Then it became a huge blessing during the pandemic.
And is there bad in the internet ? Sure thing. But only if you pursue it (usually lol ) so I guess I will try to remember all that regarding Ai
