With this video I was able to use a BUNCH of your hints to get somewhat back to "normal!" Now I'm a new subscriber and tomorrow will work on arranging my favorite apps. 👍👍👍👍👍

Well it was Samsung and I like Motorola . I didn't like the big bottom button and saw where to switch to 3 bars, and back button at the bottom. Now I'm happy, video was very helpful! Thank you!
How is the build quality and screen size? Those are the only two things that are holding me back from getting it, I've heard that the plastic backing isn't that good and also I just feel the screen might be too tall.
@@mswerdna it has a nice feel when comes to the build, it has weight to it. Also, if you're getting a cover, the back isn't going to matter. The display has a nice size, also very clean

Using your tips, I set my screen menu to have 4 buttons. The fourth button (lower right) brought up a screen menu to control volume & power. A recent Android update eliminated that fourth button. Now, I can’t find it in the Accessibility features. Can you help ?
This phone (and for that price!) is for the average user simply amazing. Used the Moto G Play and after that the FAST before that, and I am NOW "in phone heaven", I take a lot of pictures, so witfullte 6+128gb and a 256gb card I will be fine for a long time, without fighting with lags when the card gegs too full. lol. Your reviews and tips are always great.
I have had mine for about a month now. The double shake to turn on the light. I had it on another moto phone. Then went to another brand I really missed that option. Great phone really happy with my choice

Buy far Your instructions were the easiest and best I have ever watched on UA-cam For any subject! Have a Moto G. power and Just purchased Moto G5G ace. When it comes I plan to sit down and go through all these tips and tricks on my new phone. Learned so many things that were available on my Moto G. power 2021 that I never knew about it. That was a great video. One question that I have is if I delete several apps from my home screen, the space where the app was previously becomes blank. If I do that for numerous apps, is there any way to auto fill those blanks?
I've had the g6-g7-stylus and the 5g ace now, I think the ace performed better than the others until like 2 updates ago, then it started slowing down substantially, but it updates automatically even tho I have automatic updates turned off, that's annoying, I don't remember if my other Motorola's forced the updates on me like this one does
Of all the tutorials of sampled for this new phone I've recently bought so far I favor hearing your frame of reference, but so far I still haven't found out how to quickly edit my call log without deleting the whole history which would be disastrous. And it's a real pain to delete one call at a time. Please help?

I too have the Moto one 5G ACE and I'm visually impaired and use dark mode, magnifier, and Talkback, these features especially the battery savor and DND mode do come in handy I use "flip for DND" and "battery saver" (to preserve Batt. life when I have no where to charge) as I get spammed with call craziness sometimes. So "flip for DND" helps a ton.

The three finger screenshot option has me swooning. The down volume and power method is not good for those of us with longer fingernails. I take a lot of screenshots so this is fabulous!
I'm pretty certain I want this phone now :O I thought it was going to be hard switching from my galaxy a20 after my last phone was a galaxy S7 so I'm not used to Motorola's, I have only ever owned Samsung's and LGs.. so this will be an exciting change thanks to this video :)
Thanks, I was about to return this phone over not having 3 button nav lol. But something else that DOES drive me nuts is that music is interrupted by notification sounds. Any way to get around this? Thanks
You can put the phone in do not disturb mode. Although you won't even receive notifications in your notification bar anymore either until you turn it off. But it will stop it from interrupting your music. Or you might be able to turn down the ring volume all the way and keep the media volume up for the music. I haven't tried it that way yet.

use screen Icon (or larger one sitting in display area)where all apps sit. Click on settings it takes you to network & Internet click to open. Scroll to Mobile Network open you'll see Mobile data below it you see Roaming, then App data usage, below it you see Cellular data counters below it you find Data warning & limit below it you find Preferred Network type click to open now you see options click 5g then restart your phone

great video , very use full info. ???? is there a way to make the font darker on web sites and in messages? i find the light gray very hard to read , my LG had a BOLD font option. is there a way to increase the size of the navigation bar ? is there a way to make the 3 buttons on the navigation bar not so sensitive, i have a tendency to hold phone by lower corner and navigation bar is to quick to change screens,?? or possibly move the navigation bar up a bit . hope to hear from you
Great info, thank you. Regarding the screen timeout there is a feature that seems to be missing although present on other Motorola phones - the screen sleep/wake via double tap. I studied some videos for other Motorola phones and this setting just seems to be missing from the 5g ace. Argh. Another UI annoyance is the default launcher which I detest. As soon as I figure that out the default is gone. This phone is totally amazing though. It's replacing a LG G2 (what, people are still using those? 😲) running CyanogenMod. The speed and responsiveness of the ace is incredible. Really appreciate the plain vanilla incarnation of Android. BestBuy had an "open box" black Friday special which made it just too good to pass up. Also my LG G2 isn't VoLTE capable so I was getting nasty grams from my MVNO. 🙄

I had a 5G, but its Bluetooth broke. It got replaced by the exact same phone, by the exact same model. However, somehow the styles menu in this version is missing a 5x6 layout option. That really agrivates me. would you happen to know how to get it back?

I believe if you download the app called Zedge. It's an app with free ringtones and wall papers. I'm not entirely sure so forgive me if I'm wrong. But I wouldn't be surprised if it had that ringtone. But yeah my moto G5 plus had that lol. I bought my unlocked moto G 5G about 3 months ago and I haven't had one problem at all. And what a huge upgrade lol
PLEASE HELP! My camera will not open. It just immediately disappears and goes back to the home screen. I have cleared the cache and it made no difference. My phone storage is not full. I don't understand what's going on
Trying clearing the data, force stop it or restart the phone to see what happens. If this doesn't work still, you may have to do a factory reset (but first save your data on another device or computer).
I upgraded to moto ace from G7 power. Can't figure out how to get audio only when screen is black. It will work for you tube but not on duck duck go. Also screen mirroring doesn't want to work when I use phone as hotspot. But G7 power did all of this with no issues!

@@bwatchnu1 Instead of speed Dial,which this phone doesn't have,you can add a contact to your favorites list,and the contact widgets will appear under favorites,which you can also add to your home screen for even faster dialing,I like this method better than the traditional speed Dial because you don't have to try and remember which number in the keypad goes to which contact,hope this helped😀

When I try to do the battery percentage it puts the percentage inside the battery display you cannot see it because it is so small I cannot get numerical battery percentage by itself how do I do this once again the percentage goes inside the battery icon and you cannot read the percentage because it is so small thank you

The gestures took me a while to get used to as well.... I actually love it instead of the 3 button navigation.

Same I changed mine tried a few but settled on a pixel like launcher phone. Annoyingly moto launcher kept relaunching side by side on its own.

I upgraded to moto ace from G7 power. Can't figure out how to get audio only when screen is black. It will work for you tube but not on duck duck go. Also screen mirroring doesn't want to work when I use phone as hotspot. But G7 power did all of this with no issues!
Hi Kevin ... I tried to set it up so that 2 quick taps on the power button opened the camera ... It worked great ..twice! Now I get no response . Any idea what could have gone wrong? Hope you can help. Thanks

You ever figure out where speed dial is? Just got this thing. And don't see it anywhere..
@@bwatchnu1 Instead of speed Dial,which this phone doesn't have,you can add a contact to your favorites list,and the contact widgets will appear under favorites,which you can also add to your home screen for even faster dialing,I like this method better than the traditional speed Dial because you don't have to try and remember which number in the keypad goes to which contact,hope this helped😀

When I try to do the battery percentage it puts the percentage inside the battery display you cannot see it because it is so small I cannot get numerical battery percentage by itself how do I do this once again the percentage goes inside the battery icon and you cannot read the percentage because it is so small thank you
