Giving someone personal space is the biggest form of respect. As a SA survivor, if someone is that close to me, I will literally tell them to move away. I love Drew, but this has to change.
I like Drew, and I get she’s going for a laid back feel, but personally it would annoy me to have her practically sitting on my lap while conducting an interview. Back up just a bit, and give the person some personal space
I’m on the fence about the personal space, because I really appreciate how much she loves people, and shows her deep interest in what her guests say. She really leans in to listen intently 🙏🏻💕
I honestly as a father of 14month old have been more and more impressed with how he communicates with his daughters and how grounded and mature they seem.
He looks physically uncomfortable with how close she is sitting next to him 😫 I know this is what she does with everyone but you can tell that he is totally uncomfortable. 😭 This is not a jab at Drew because I love her and would totally want her in my face too but he doesn't look comfortable with it. 🤣
Yeah, it may be someone's thing. What they like to do to connect. But you have to respect other people's personal space too. And understand that they may not be into it. Especially when it comes to touching. You need consent. Even if you're a woman touching a man.
People…4 to 10 feet is the Normal Social space for casual and professional relationships. I stop watching the show because of this invading interviews. Drew’s producers should relax for a 3-4 feet minimum 😊
I LOVE them both! I just would be uncomfortable with anyone (except my husband) sitting that close to me. It is awkward. but that is me. I think she is so loving and sweet.
I'm today years old that I found out he's from Milford Michigan. He's a "Michigan Troll", IYKYK. We can use our hands to point where we live in the UP or Lower Michigan.
It's kind of uncomfortable to watch this cause instead of paying attention to the interview, it brings my attention to his reactions on how close she is to him ....Poor guy! He is def uncomfortable LOL
This way of interviewing might be detrimental ultimately to her show. I wonder if subconsciously, Drew is wanting to move away from the show she created..
After about 15 seconds after sitting near Drew Barrymore, I'd say, "Back up. Get outta my personal space." She is such a bizarre freak a la thinks she's a therapist. Beyond cliche.
I was in the audience that day. In real life, she is even worse! She rambles a lot and the editors have to chop that out. Being in the audience at that show is exhausting!
We need to understand that Americans have an inordinately large personal bubble. The meaning everyone is putting on Drew's behavior is pretty uncalled for. It will all be okay.

fully agree. It's cringy

Yeah it’s like she can’t read people’s body language. I’m into it but I feel like most aren’t 😂
I agree give them room to breath! And that's coming from a hugger.

I agree
Totally agree.

Yet here she is practically on top of him.
Love Dax and Armchair Expert! He’s an incredible interviewer.
Uncomfortably close. Dax isn’t reciprocating the physical closeness, so it feels a bit invasive of his personal space.
When a video hits your feed and you see her all up on the guest personal space!!

He’s so sweet and gentle ❤

I love Drew being present and empathetic with her guests. I have noticed she “reads” their vibe and adjusts her level of closeness accordingly. ❤
@@jeanhamrick1240 uh…. She doesn’t seem to be adjusting accordingly here. He doesn’t look all that comfortable
She needs to ditch the couch, and get separate chairs.

Great conversations, the best talks learning so much about celebrities. Thanks, Drew, for the great news.
Can someone please educate Drew Barrymore on trauma-informed care and giving personal space???
We love dax shepherd drew barrymore and ross mathews

I dont think he acts uncomfortable, hes having a great time😊
Love Drew, But she cannot read the room.your too much in his face. Step back! 😚
Why is she SO close to him
Drew respect space!! You have huge heart but you’re socially inept
I love Dax and I love his podcast, but he’s right. He hardly changed the game. 🤣
Girl dad Dax loves to complement his guests I was feeling uncomfortable watching him nervous and laughed you can touch me😅
It's creepy that Drew gets so touchy with everyone..
I feel she's too close to him + touching him too much. There's nothing wrong with touching someone but she touches to much. I like her! She's great!!
Drew always gets way too close for comfort
She’s so close to him that when the camera is on him, she’s in the frame. This is ridiculous.
I love her and she needs attention and affection. ❤
This is awkward! He clearly is not feeling her space-invasion and she's not picking up on it.
How small does Drew look compared to Dax??!!! 😂😂
Where is the distance? 🤷🤔
Take a step back from your guests. Too close.
When did dougie come around? I just love him but don't know his story
Too close Drew…..Personal space is a real thing.

I feel like the audience doesn’t really get Dax.
I was in the studio audience that day. I had no idea who he even was!
Bish, back up.
👍🏼👍🏻💛❤️
She's just fine!
I had no idea how annoying she is until she started a talk show
Imagine if it was a man being so close an touching all over someone 😂
He kiss drew I like to kiss drew
:)
Isn’t he married to Kristen Bell
Stop shaming her!
It's not shaming her. Personal space is something we all should have learned in kindergarten. Love drew, but you also have to think of others.
Get out of people’s space

I thought dax did his show with his wife
You kiss drew i like to kiss drew
She is incredibly annoying.
